The stories in this collection are about women: passionate, intelligent and eccentric women, all of whom in their own way are struggling to find meaning, overcome grief, and become, somehow, more fully alive. Marrow was a winning book at the 1999 Canadian Jewish Book Awards.
One of the best books I've ever discovered thanks to an academic conference. At a meeting of the Society for American Jewish and Holocaust Literature several years ago, I sat in on a panel that featured a presentation on this Canadian Jewish author and her work. I am so glad that I did! Beautiful stories.
