Well written police detective profiler's pursuit of a psychotic serial killer. Well developed characters including Rita as the intelligent likable reckless impulsive single and apparently attractive detective and the many male contacts who may be the perpetrator.
Story moves along well skirting along the boundaries of the believable in Melbourne's CBD and surrounding suburbs, with familiar surrounds adding a comfortable realism for Victorian readers.

Suspenseful keeps you on edge but I felt that the ending didn't tie up all the loose ends.
