This book of the bible reinforces the concept of the Law and the Gospel. God, speaking through Moses, states that if his commands are kept, then those who have faith will be blessed. This was an impossible task then, and is an impossible task now. Even after demanding perfection and the fact that we all cursed by not following his commands, God is there to bless us with his love through forgiveness. Moses was not able to enter the earthly Canaan, however, he entered the heavenly Canaan. God understood that we couldn't accomplish heaven through our own righteousness and therefore continued to bless over those of the promise, until the time Jesus would come to fulfill it!

A great nation was led by Moses out of captivity in Egypt to east of the promised land. Israel was now to enter the land of milk and honey. Moses reviewed everything God had promised and done for them in this book of the bible. God's desire is for us all to be faithful and enjoy our relationship with him. (3rd Reading)
