As the only she-wolf in a generation, Lucia McGraw’s destined to mate with a Wild Lake Alpha. An arranged marriage will cement the peace on Wild Lake and secure her brother’s power among the packs for decades to come. There’s just one problem. Free spirit Lucia’s never been one to do what she’s told. To her brother’s constant frustration, she never misses a chance to raise a little hell. When Lucia finds an outlaw shifter trespassing on pack lands, chasing him off is just the kind of trouble Lucia loves to stir up. But this cat stands his ground and ignites a primal need in her she wasn’t expecting. Acting on it could raise a little too much hell.

For Lucia, catching this tiger by the tail might just bring the packs to the brink of war.

Clint Yeager wasn’t looking for trouble. After a brutal shifter war in South America, he’s just hoping to lick his wounds and get as far north as he can. But he’s never seen anything like Lucia before. He thought female shifters were extinct. Her feral, passionate nature stirs his inner tiger past the point of control. The smart thing to do would be to keep on running and forget he ever saw her. But, his animal has other ideas and pursuing her might just put Clint in the crosshairs of every wolf shifter in the country.

Reader's Note: This is BOOK 2 in the Wild Lake Origins series. Each book in the series as well as the companion series, the Wild Lake Wolves, are standalone books that can be read in any order.

As a civil lawyer, I spent many, many years writing complex legal briefs for unappreciative bosses. To keep from stabbing myself (or them) in the eye with a fork during all of that, I also started writing down the stories in my head. All on my own time, of course ;) Turns out, I'm a sucker for hot, alpha male shifters and kickass heroines.

Now, I've thrown away my shingle (er - more like burned it in a fire pit) so I can devote my time to bringing you sizzling, erotic, paranormal romance stories. If you like hunky, bad boy shifters, women who know what they want in and out of the bedroom, panty-melting sex scenes, and edge of your seat suspense, I've got you covered! We'll put the rahr in erotic romance (okay, okay, that sounded better in my head).

Title: ➳ ❤ Stolen Mate
Series Wild Lake Origins#2
Author: ➳ Kimber White

⭐⭐⭐⭐

ღ Lucia & Clint
♥●• Lucia is she-wolves & the twin sister of the Alpha of her pack, & if she had to hear one more time how she was one of the only she-wolves in the world & all the things that meant- she was going scream
Lucia had words with her brother Jarred & decide to go to the local watering hole to burn off some stream. Even though it was midweek half the other Alpha’s were there & of course Lucia can’t stay out trouble for long. This is where Lucia 1st met Clint
♥●• Clint is Lethal. Deadly. Beautiful, he also a tiger shifter in wolf shifter’s land & trying to stay inconspicuous from his enemies
♥●• Now throw in the mix that Lucius finds out that a few of the other Alphas sanctuary a deal with her brother (Jarred ) to mate with her... 3 to be exact

One of them even challenged her brother for her, since they over her say does not want to Mate with anyone in Wildlake

♥●• I L💕ve how Kimber White always writes about strong woman who stands up for their self’s. Unexpected twists & turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline & character development made this book a hot & very enjoyable read!
➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

Fast paced story, that fits in well with this series. Loved the H, who was so strong and well matched to the h. She is awesome, so strong and sure of herself. Great adventure with the h directing the actions of her brother, the pack and her prospective fated mate. It's a little formulaic but I loved it.

Too much high drama in this one. Lucia is forever screaming, it seems... mostly at her brother, which makes her seem extremely immature and volatile. Rebellious, careless, self-centred... she's all that and more. Really like an overgrown teenager, and I have no respect for her.

Once Clint appears, there's more high drama: they face off, hackles raised, ready to attack at the slightest provocation, roaring and howling at each other, and Lucia is in the middle, alternatively snapping and yelling at both of them to stand down, feeling like she might have to choose between one of them to prevent bloodshed.

Then there's the drama with the rival pack alpha wanting to mate Lucia, to the point of challenging her brother for the right to do so. There's no explanation why the rival pack alpha wants so badly to mate her -- yes, she's a rare full-blooded female shifter, but so what? Will mating her give the alpha some sort of special power? Ensure a stronger bloodline? What? It was not explained.

There's also no proper build-up between Lucia and Clint before they exchange "I love you"s. I'm used to shifters instinctively sensing and knowing their true mates but accepting your mate is an animal instinct, and loving him is a human one. They know hardly anything about each other, so it's not believable when they suddenly are in love.

I also can't understand this thing called The Rise -- when does it occur? At a certain age? What is it, really? On one hand the author seems to use The Rise as a reason why all the wolves want Lucia, but on the other hand the author also implies that the rival alpha wanted Lucia not because of The Rise but for some other purpose, having planned to take her by force if necessary. Too many contradictions and loopholes in the plot.

Disappointed with this read; it was dissatisfying. Locking your mate up in the basement so that you can go off and do manly alpha stuff without her interference? Really?

Wereanimal Romance

This story is about Lucia, a werewolf, and Clint, a weretiger. They are fated mates. Of course, this is not what any of the wolves want. The romance is interesting but a bit predictable. What I disliked the most is how the author made the male wolves the smart ones and Lucia clueless, hot-headed and always doing the wrong thing. Only after her mate “settles her down” can she be rational. Just didn’t like the bratty aspect of this story. Part of a series but can be a standalone.

This book was a little slow to get going, but once you hit chapter 4 you won’t be able to put it down. Lucia won’t be told what to do and she and answers to no one as a true alpha female. I like how she had a different outlook on the traditional she-wolf standard and stood by her convictions. It was nice to see some new blood in the wolf pack!

Sexy, Smart, and Thoroughly Enjoyable. You Will Crave More...

I wrote and erased a thousand words trying to decide what to say about this book. Mainly because "Stolen Mate" by Kimber White is so much more than a paranormal romance. It is beyond the normal "boy meets girl and finds out they're fated mates" lexicon of the genre. The writing is more complex, the tone much more thoughtful. This book is an intricately written story of a soul mate connection. It is a tale of two people slated by the universe to be whole. A story of one being born to complete the other and having to navigate the social and familial expectations that go along with their socially constructed lives.

This book is also an allegory for far bigger things such as social identity and intergroup conflict. The concept of insiders and outsiders within a social group, and how those different from us are often viewed and treated. It is a book about classism, it is a book about racism, it is a book about how beings often fear what they do not know or understand.

And most importantly, it is a vibrant, intense, fast paced story that will steal your breath in places and keep your heart pounding consistently throughout.

White beautifully illustrates through Clint and Lucia the hurdles a couple from different groups face, but also the conflict their coupling creates within the fabric of the family and community groups in which they reside. She masterfully portrays the complex emotions all others surrounding them go through, also demonstrating how each and every one of us move, live, breath, love, and come to terms with things in our own time, and at our own pace.

"Stolen Mate" is refreshingly intelligent.

It is a book to be savored. A book to be pondered and reflected upon. And it is also a book to be thoroughly enjoyed because it is as sexy and smoldering as it is smart. Clint and Lucia's connection singes every page and by the end you will want a hundred more books about them.

I had never read a book by Kimber White before, but I can honestly say if her other works are as intelligent, honest and heartfelt as this one I will be reading them all.

Highly Recommend, Well Written, Engaging, NO CLIFFHANGER!

I wasn’t familiar with this author and I hesitated when her book was offered for free on Kindle. I love paranormal romance books but different styles of the same sub genre appeal to different people. I expect at least a fair attempt at editing, decent character development, dialogue that isn’t stilted or tacky, sex scenes that don’t use embarrassingly cutesy names for body parts, more story than sex scenes, an engaging plot and an actual conclusion to the story, even if it is part of a series. Recently, I have come across too many paranormal romance books that have characteristics I dislike. However, I am definitely glad that I tried this book because the author must have had readers like me in mind when she wrote it.

For me, this book was a page turner that I couldn’t put down. It was very well written and edited, had very appealing and intelligent protagonists and supporting characters, villains it’s easy to hate, well written sex scenes (except for sex while lying on an outcropping of rock; OUCH!), and a firm conclusion including a great epilogue, that wraps up the story but leaves the reader eager to read the others in the series. Happily, I have discovered another ‘must buy’ author.

I highly recommend this book and this author to readers who have my tastes in this genre. I especially love having a complete book instead of one novel broken down into three parts, that force readers to buy the rest to get an ending. Authors who do that get put on my ‘do not buy’ list. An overarching storyline is fine as long as each book has a satisfactory conclusion and this author deserves kudos for trusting in her writing enough to leave further purchases up to the reader. Not only is it a wonderful story, but the author treats her readers with respect.

I will say that I think the outline of this story is great and sounds like it has a lot of potential! THOUGH I'm torn between wanting to read the other books to continue the story but also really disappointed in how fast the story moved and what little detail was used. I am not a big fan of stories that mave too fast and get straight to the point without any real story in-between.. It's kind of like having a crapy porno in a book without pictures 🥱🙄. Clint was all the right things and held himself with respect but maybe seemed a little dim whitted and built up on too much testosterone...I guess all the alpha's are built to be a little to much...Lucia is a strong wolf and I love her challenge for independence but also felt that was a bit much. I got annoyed everytime she ran away like (here we go again). Also the relationship between her brother was annoying because her brother Jarred was a hot head and it got old real quick...There was very little of the story and went straight into a relationship (no exaggeration) therefore making me feel like I should put a hard stop on the series or be greatly disappointed even though I like the outline... I didn't feel the passion from this Author and probably will not read anymore of her books. (personal oppinion, if you don't like wasting your time reading a story and like getting straight to the smut I don't feel even that was exciting.)

This book is not ment for a mature crowd...

This was an enjoyable read. Not too long or heavy. While the book doesn't overwhelm with sex once the author added it about halfway through there was plenty. Some editing issues but not horrible. The h is an alpha wolf in her own right who's twin brother is the alpha of their pack. He's always trying to rein her in both to keep her out of trouble and as an over protective brother. She's one of very few female wolves in the country and the only one within hundreds of miles. All the alphas in the area want her as well as all the other wolves around. Her brother in a misguided attempt to keep her safe is trying to get her to mate one of the alphas all of whom she wants nothing to do with. One evening after arguing with him she runs for the woods and her favorite place a lake. While swimming under the water there's a huge disturbance and she sees black and yellow swirls around her. Confused she struggles to the surface and shortly after comes face to face with a tiger. And that's how she meets her mate though she doesn't figure that out right away. Clint her mate is an alpha tiger who is running from a shifter war in central America. He's not sure why but he's drawn to come through her area on the way to Alaska. There are trials and tribulations and they have to fight their way through to their HEA.

I'm so excited about this series. The prequel was exciting and so different than other shifter stories. Ms. White always adds that something special and is Clint special--of course Lucia as an extremely rare she-wolf. She's twin to the wolf pack alpha and more than gives him a run. She's supposed to be compliant and political. Not her. She doesn't want to be controlled or followed. She's capable of taking care of herself. Yet, it isn't easy when every alpha male wants her. Mating with any pack leader has more involved than she is willing to accept.
She didn't know what she was going to do but it wasn't an arranged marriage. Then there was Clint. But he isn't a wolf. He's a huge alpha tiger. Why does he affect her so much?
The threat of war. A family torn apart. An unexpected future. A love so hot it steams the lake. This one has wonderful characters that love but are forced to choose between family, love, and pack welfare. This introduction will pull you into the series and make you anxious for the next one. As with all of the author's series, this is a stand-alone story complete and wonderful.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Equals

I have read a few of Kimber Whites book's and her storylines are always full of intrigue, mystery of where the story is going and intricate details of events and her characters.
Lucia is a natural alpha female and cannot find it in herself to permit any of the wolves from surrounding packs, to mate with her or even get close to her.
She finds herself continually trying to run and escape the position she has been left to fill.
Finding an equal is a far riskier set of circumstances than she could ever imagine.
When fate has made a choice for your destiny, fighting it doesn't help.
This is a terrific read from Kimber White, definitely descriptive narration where emotional and physical activities occur but passion and depth are part of this Author's style.
This really is an intense read well worth taking your time to enjoy along with following the continuing series.
If NOT else the central characters in any of her book's are complex, caring and full of life.
Parranormal romance lover's grab this book today and drop into the world this amazing author has created.

Another great read in this series.
When I started reading I couldn't stop, so I finished this in one day.

Lucia is some she-wolf. She is fighting for her own rights and discovering what she wants.
On a night out she meets Clint, later on she finds out he is a tiger shifter. And not only a tiger shifter, but her fated mate.
But of course things aren't that easy, a wolf and a tiger? The pack can't believe it.
And their are other wolf alpha's wanting Lucia as their mate, even giving up lots for that and wanting to fight. Lucia doesn't have feelings for them, but one of them Peter won't listen and challenges her brother.

Will everything turn out in the end?
Will Lucia and Clint will have a happy ever after together? And how will her twin brother react to all this? For that you have to read the book.
You are in for a lot of action, sibbling fights and very hot and steamy moments.

This book is part as a series, but you can read it as a stand alone without a problem. But why would you? This whole series is great to read when you are into fantastic werewolf stories.

This is a really good paranormal romance about a female wolf shifter who is determined to make her own choices. She is one of the few female wolf shifters and many of the alphas want her as their mate.

It isn't until she meets a cat shifter, that she finds the mate she can love and respect. The problems is some are willing to take desperate measures to secure her as their mate.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. Lucia is a strong woman who stands up for herself. She won't back down even when others threaten her. She is not doing it to make trouble but because she knows that the alphas who want her are not the right ones for her. When she meets Clint, the connection is so strong and it is clear they belong together.

Clint has lead a difficult life and is trying to keep a low profile from those on the hunt for him. He stands up for Lucia when he senses danger and is not afraid to take on anyone who challenges her safety. I respected him for making tough choices and treating Lucia with love and care.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

being found by your other half

I enjoyed finding out about whatever happened to Lucia and Jared the twins. This story pics up with the twins being grown Jared the made it and Lucia making a muck of it.

In this story here find out about Pat, Harold, and Marcus and Asher its like the beginning of their world which is pretty darn interesting and Sarah also comes out to play.

And boy the biggest surprise is Clint you'll never guess I'll he features in the story.

This cast of characters will not bore you as things happen around them quickly and very intensely.  Family will not always agree and friends should have backed off but not in this case.

When you don't fit into your own skin and you don't know why it is hard to explain to others the reason why you run and cause havic or in Lucia's case that at this point in her life she will have to make some tough choices.

Fate has a way of bringing clarity and what you need to move into the next part of your life when you least expect it.

Jarred and Lucia are twins and Lucia knows her brother the Alpha of her pack just wants to keep her safe as she is one of only a couple of full blood she wolves in existence. Lucia does not feel the same connection the rest of the pack have to fit in , she wants something different . She finds herself at a local bar where she is the only female shifter amongst a roomful of male shifters and getting herself into trouble with Peter Matthews another pack alpha who she really does not like, that an unknown shifter comes to her rescue. His name is Clint and she feels a connection to him even thought she does not know what he is. Lucia and Clint cannot control the pull to be together and that can spell disaster for Jarred with the other pack Alpha's as they want Lucia for themselves. This may lead to a pack war and Lucia and Clint will have to fight to stay together especially when they find out what type of shifter Clint really is. Thank you to Kimber White for the amazing review copy. Loved this story.

Stolen Mate by Kimber White is part of her Wild Lake Wolves Prequel series. It's a wonderful story about Lucia one of the few she-wolves in the US packs. Lucia is a young woman and she doesn't realize how she is affecting the males in her pack and the other packs of Wild Lake. She doesn't believe that by refusing to pick a mate she could cause a pack war. When she meets an outsider and tiger shifter she starts to feel differently about herself and what she might want for her future. The characters are some of the most well known from Kimber's Wild Lake Wolves series.. It's wonderful to see how the characters got their start in the packs so long ago. Getting background on Lucia and the Wild Lake pack members was terrific. I've loved the Wild Lake Wolves series from the beginning so having this insight into their past was great. I truly hope that Kimber will write more stories that include the Wild Lake Wolves in them in the future. There are so many characters that have stories to be told. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.

Lucia is one of only a few she-wolf and very rare. Her brother is the alpha of one of the packs of wildlake. All the other alpha's want her as a mate. She wants nothing to do with any of them.
Clint year is a tiger shifter who ends up in a bar at wildLake one look and he knows who Lucia is to him but while she drawn to him she doesn't know why.
This was fantastic do full of action, drama, intrigue, suspense, betrayal, and more. I couldn't put it down. The characters were awsome, the twists and turns in the story great. Shifter fans should love this one.

This is the second book in this series
and no kidding if you have not read any

Lucia is the sister of the Alpha and she is fighting him
because he wants her to mate and she is dead against it.
Clint has turn up and put a bit of a spanner to that.
Lucia new strait away the Clint wasn't a wolf shifter.
How will a relationship work out between a wolf shifter and a tiger shifter
well you are going have to read this one to find out.

As twin to the clan alpha, Jarred McGraw, Lucia McGraw is a rare find since she is the only she-wolf in generations. When told she is being wed to another pack to maintain peace, Lucia decides to take matters into her own hands. Finding an unknown shifter named Clint, Lucia feels a connection to him almost instantly, until she discovers that he isn’t a wolf, but a tiger, so why is she so drawn to him? As the pair struggle to fight the pull, Jarred begins to feel frustration from the other Alpha’s who all want Lucia for themselves. Will the pack be able to separate Lucia and Clint? Or will their connection be enough to keep them together?
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book.

Interesting....

One of the better paranormal romances I’ve read. I just couldn’t give it four or five stars because if you’re promiscuous that’s you’re provocative but when an Alpha’s mate is said to belong to the pack and the Alpha himself belongs to his mate only. How is this sane or acceptable? Literally she’s expected to sleep with the Alpha’s pack and everything is fine because as the pack queen she has a calming effect on the pack. Just no doesn’t work so well for me. Required some editing.

Pinball machine

The heroine in this story careers like an out of control ball in a pinball machine, screaming, reacting, running. Ninety percent of the shouting, roaring, growling drama would be eliminated if this supposedly adult heroine took a chill pill and acted reasonably with forethought before going off half-cocked. Still, once you get beyond that, it's not a bad story. The editing is decent, too, which adds a star to my rating of this book

Decent read. Lucia yearns for something that she doesn’t quite understand. Alphas from neighboring wolf packs want her but she resists. Cue the entrance of a lint, a tiger shifter. Insta lust ensues.

White could have done more with the concept of the Rising. It’s mentioned but doesn’t really play that big of a part.

Lucia and Clint overcome the challenges for their HEA.

It wasn't what I thought

I gave this book 5 stars because the story was well written, believable, with characters you want to get involved with. This story has twist and turns you don't expect. I figured that this was a story were one pact wanted something that didn't belong to them and they do but the twists was entirely surprising. It is well worth the read!

This was probably the best of the Wild Lake Wolves series. I enjoyed the tension and the strength of all the characters involved, which caused many problems for them all. A well written and fast paced story by Ms. White. The only thing I felt was missing was more 80s references, which I would have loved to see. 5 stars.

Interesting impressive suspenseful

Lucia was wanted by the emphasis other packs for mating only. Clint was a stranger who just turned up in town at the right time and place. Clint and Lucia I would never imagined them together because of what they shift into. Caught if guard. Clint and Lucia are the powerhouse together. Recommended to read for the mature audience
