Erin Lee is a USA TODAY bestselling multi genre author and therapist chasing a crazy dream one crazy story at a time. She also writes under the name EL George.

She is the author of Crazy Like Me, a novel published in 2015 by Savant Books and Publications, LLC,, Wave to Papa, 2015, by Limitless Publishing, LLC and Nine Lives (2016). She’s also author of Alters, Host, and Merge of the “Lola, Party of Eight Series,” When I’m Dead, 99 Bottles and too many other titles to count.

She penned the award-winning Freak, an LGBTQ awareness novella and Losing Faith, a novella with Black Rose Writing.

Lee has published numerous magazine articles, particularly on the topic of mental illness and works tirelessly to help end stigma around psychological conditions. She holds a master’s degree in psychology and works with at-risk families and as a court appointed special advocate. She often writes about real life people and situations she encounters in this work; which can be more horrific than any horror movie or documentary.

Twelve years ago, a killing spree happened in the small town of Haven and the police had a suspect that they were certain was the Hangman. The thing is that they caught the wrong guy and Elizabeth Walsh studied the Hangman when she was in university and has known all along that the wrong guy was caught as things didn't make sense. Now the Hangman is back and he has a game for Elizabeth to play, figure out who he is and who is on his kill list or more people will die. At first Elizabeth thinks it is a prank played on her by her friend Ryan, but when two people connected to Elizabeth are killed. She realises that this is real life and she must play the game and follow the clues before more people close to her are killed. This was quite a fast-paced read and I loved the cat/mouse type game. It also was an interesting twist in the end to see who the original Hangman Killer was and why the killing was carried on and continued. I didn't see the twist at the end which was quite cool as it keeps the reader interested when you are kept guessing. I’ve read quite a few books from Erin and loved them. This duet with Sara Schoen was a great read.

While I was reading this I was trying to put the pieces together myself. Elizabeth had investigated the Hangman’s killings. Now he has set his sights on her.

Another great one sitting read for me. I’m looking forward to reading more from these authors.

Elisabeth is thrown into a game she didn't ask to play. she has he clues to try and solve it before the Hangman gets to her and her friends.

Erin Lee and Sara Schoen are the best writing team ever! Hangman will have you guessing from the start and in the end wanting to actually help the hangman. Elizabeth was in the police academy when her knee was shattered and ended her police career. This is what drew the hangman to her, because she was objectified. Elizabeth needs to figure out the clues to solve the hangman's truth and in the end she only has to listen. The truth is hard, but it's his truth. You will enjoy every part of this book, I know I did. Happy reading 💞

Sara Schoen and Erin Lee make a fantastic team. Together they have wrote two edge of the seat thrillers. In Hangman the story of Truth and Justice comes out with a bang. This psychological twisted story is about Elizabeth a young women that has her dreams crushed in one night on the town. Ryan the young man that loves her to much. And a family that is torn apart but the injustice of blaming the victim. There are many characters in this book but these are the ones that matter the most. This book besides being a fantastic thriller has a lesson to be learned. Not everything is as it seems and believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear. Lee and Schoen make a great team and I can't wait to see what they have in-store for us in their next book.

I absolutely loved the first co-write that I was able to read between Lee and Schoen. I was super excited to get to do it again with Hangman.
The beginning chapter was already incredibly intriguing and sucked me right into the story.
I enjoyed getting to know Elizabeth in Chapter 2 and I could feel her obsession with the Hangman rubbing off on me.
As the story bounced back and forth between the Hangman and Elizabeth, I was on edge with a need to know more. Things fell slowly into place as emotions ran high. It was very well-written and suspenseful. As Elizabeth got closer to finding the truth, I was fearful about just what she would find and who would be on the other end waiting. I was also completely hooked on the story and learning the outcome. The way things pieced together in this tale was quite brilliant.
I absolutely loved Hangman. I enjoyed the flow of the story and how everything came together. The ending was perfection. Lee and Schoen just keep getting better and better the more they write together. I simply cannot wait for what they will come up with next!

From the beginning this story had me hooked. I read it in one night! I simply couldn't put it down!
Elizabeth was an up and comer with a bit of a fascination with the Hangman case. After being injured, her life has changed a great deal. When the Hangman returns, he chooses Elizabeth to be his next opponent. Using her wit and knowledge of the case, Elizabeth races against the clock to try and put a stop to the Hangman and keep him from claiming his next victim. What she doesn't expect is the discovery of his story and why he plays the games he plays.
This is a fast paced, quick read, that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I loved the backstory, as well as the race to the ending. Great job!

Extraordinary reading - suspense at its best

This was my first book by the authors, so I had no idea of the writing style or what to expect from them. What I found was a book that had me gripped in its story line from the minute I opened it.

Suspense from beginning to end - although it was built beautifully to reach the ultimate climax. This is the story of Elizabeth's fascination with The Hangman, a serial killer who has returned after a decade of silence. Now she is determined to solve the riddle of the Hangman before he harms again.

A gripping and mesmerising story. One that had me eternally on the edge of my seat. Superb reading.
