This book contains a huge trigger for me. I find nothing romantic about the guy I love, whose child I am also pregnant with, not only proceeding to tell me about the plan b pill (they started sex without a condom because he forgot not knowing she was already pregnant) and also proceeding to take me to the drug store to buy the pill and also tell me about how I will feel related to hormonal fluctuations after (he was an OBGYN).

I wish I would have known before jumping in because I would have never read it.

For safety followers this book is 100%, but unfortunately so not for me.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book was enjoyable, there was some parts that bugged me, but for the most part I was ok with book. He was a hottie doctor, with no low self esteem issues that was for sure. Houston (Dr.) was in town on a favor to his mother, it was stop in on his way to his new job in Alaska, where he was going to be able to start fresh due to a scandalous firing of his last position where he was unjustly accused of taking advantage of a patient. He ends up meeting Charlie, a teacher and new resistant of Summer Springs. Charlie was a sweet girl, no doubt about it, what annoyed me of her was that she needed to fight for herself more, she just let the rich bitches accuse her of ridiculousness. I was happy that she had Houston in her corner, and her aunt Pam. Then what happens, well my friends you need to read..Enjoy!

Delivering her Secret by Kira Blakely a five-star read that will have you wanting to keep secrets. Kira Blakely has once again done it again and pulled of a great read. Doctor Houston Pope is a man with a past that has shaped him into the man he is now, a man with anger issues and a past he can’t run from, secrets ruined him once, he won’t let them again. Charlie Stinson is just trying to start her life, be the best teacher she can, but as she is young and pretty not everyone approves. A playground falls means they both end up facing each other. Fate plays its part but secrets also play their part, will their story ever get where they want it to be.

Oooh I love this fast-paced secret baby romance, I devoured it in short time.
It hit me with drama and frustrations from the beginning and since then I can't stop.
Hot sexy doctor and a shy kindergarten teacher, oh yeah they're so different but that's what makes this story interesting, because opposite do attract.

As for characters, I love Houston and Charlie, from their banters to all the hotness this couple brings, and especially their love toward each other, how they making each other better.
There's moments I'd love to slap them some senses though, but still I love this sweet couple.

If you love secret baby romance with a lot of drama, you might love this one.

For those of you that are curious, yes, this is a 'safe' book.

Charlie visits a local doctor, hoping to get a script for birth control. She's not sexually promiscuous or anything, and despite being a 23y/o virgin she thinks it's better safe than sorry. When she meets Dr Houston Pope, a visiting doctor that is set to leave for Alaska the next day, his less than stellar behavior causes her to leave the office before getting the prescription. Oh well, she'll just go back for it later. It's not like she'll lose her virginity that night to a cocky doctor or anything, right?

The book was good and engaging, but it falls under countless clichés that honestly, I'm kind of sick of seeing. They have a whirlwind affair and off he goes, unknowingly leaving her with a little something in her belly. She fails to communicate this to him, he's less than thrilled when he finds out, but we still get a HEA anyway. I've seen this plot countless times and it's been done better just as many times as it's been done worse, so Delivering His Secret is a nice go-between.

I do wish Charlie would've been more proactive when the mothers in town treated her like shit. I know she couldn't slap them or anything, but maybe pull their hair a little?

There were a few things left unanswered at the end that I, well, wanted answered. Such as

Houston and Charlie are a good story. I do enjoy a secret baby story, and Kira does deliver on that promise.

Charlie does have it hard in her new job and some mean rich women have it out for her during this whole book. When she tries not to back down they make her life even harder. Charlie is just trying to live her life as respectably as she can. And when she meets Houston for the first time in her life she wants to walk on the wild side.

Houston has had a bad year and is hoping for a new start, with a stopover at home. Houston happens to meet Charlie when she brings a child from school into his office to be treated. What the next week brings is something neither will forget.

Good story💋 I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Charlotte “Charlie” Stinson was having an unpleasant meeting at school with young Chadley’s mother. She was incensed that he had eaten a banana which she very clearly prohibited in his diet. She threatened that if it happened again, if Chadley came home sick again, Charlie would lose her job – and she had already discussed the possibility with the principal, who would no doubt side with the mother regardless of the truth. Although the students loved her, the wealthy parents could be extremely difficult to deal with and loved to make her life unbearable!

With untrue accusations and threats, the principal made it clear that Charlie was just barely hanging on to her job. As Charlie walked outside to the playground, trying to regain her composure, a cry went out! Chadley had fallen from the jungle-gym and his wrist was swollen, perhaps broken. Charlie begged the principal to let her take him to a nearby doctor. The school nurse was out that day and the hospital was some distance away.

Dr. Houston Pope was not having a good day. His patients were driving him crazy – seems like everyone thought they were doctors these days! This wasn’t even his practice! He was covering for another doctor buddy who just had an appendicitis attack! His receptionist showed in a boy with a sprained wrist and his pretty teacher. He was telling her it was a simple sprain when the mother barged through the door and made a scene. He reprimanded the two women, and after treating the child, he sent them all away. But he couldn’t stop thinking about the cute teacher! He was almost sorry he had to leave the next day.

Charlie’s “aunt” was not going to let her stay home and be miserable about the mishaps of the day. So Pamela dragged Charlie out to a bar to loosen up. When Pamela went to the ladies room, a familiar voice in Charlie’s ear surprised her! The doc whispered in her ear – this was the chance she had needed, to be intimate with someone for the first time. Her reaction to him had been immediate and special. She would never forget him . . .

This is one of my favorite authors. Once again she delivers a well written book that goes straight to the heart. Find out how everything changes for Charlie with her new outlook – you won’t want to miss this. I received this copy from Booksprout and my comments reflect my honest opinion.

I have to be honest, I was expecting something like The Surprise by Alice Ward. While there were a couple similarities there were enough differences that kept the story fresh and kept me from skimming forward. The passion was intense and super hot, which is expected from this author, but there was also heart. Difficulties between the two MC's were pretty formula and the mud-slinging in the town was also expected. How everything worked out was satisfying and provided closure without unnecessarily drawing out the drama. The end, though, that epilogue was sweet, tender, hot, and full of feels. It made getting to the end so very worth it. Houston's desire to woo rather than fast-forward was noble, admirable, and totally sweet which seemed contrary to his initial personality coming off as immensely volatile. He was realistic where he could have forced the issue and Charlie would have capitulated. In a situation where he could have pushed for more he respected her and their future as well as refused to take advantage of her vulnerability and desire.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Oh this is so good by Kira Blakely! She has written for us a real treat with Charlie, Charlotte, and Houston's love story. She is a kindergarten teacher and some of the children's mothers are really very snobby when they really have no reason to be. Houston only filling in for the usual doctor in this small town and when he meets Charlie he is in instant lust with her. She's so stunningly gorgeous with curves in all the right places for him and she looks so sweet and innocent but he wants to change that! Houston can't stop thinking about her and, on his last night in town before moving to another post, he sees her in a bar[she's there with her aunt trying to cheer herself up with the way some of the snobby parents treat her] and he approaches her and he eventually persuades her to come back to his motel room where any resemblance to innocence in Charlie is eradicated by Houston during the night of red hot passion that they share. But the night was so good that he slept in and missed the only flight out for the next week. So Houston decides to make the most of his time waiting for the next flight by being with Charlie as much as he can. Kira is so great at writing the wonderful characters that she pens for us. Houston and Charlie are perfect for each other and the passionate scenes between them will be hot enough to make a reader's panties melt so have your fans at the ready as when these two get together it is STEAM HEAT. But let's also remember that they are young and having fun together as they get to know each other. But time flies when you don't want it to and a week goes by in a flash - not nearly enough time for them to have together. But Houston must leave for his work. However, he does leave something that means that he will be back to see Charlie! No spoilers from me, but I will say it's just as well he returns as we need HEA's! I loved this book and think it is probably my favourite by Kira. A great read that I enjoyed very much and hope that you will too. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Charlie is teaching at this school for some young rich kids but it seems like everyone has it out for her. All the moms are jealous and spiteful making complaints left and right about her. Some a the fathers are inappropriate with her and corner her whenever they find her alone. One day a little boy to a mom that really dislikes her hurts himself an Charlie gets permission to take him to a doctor's office nearby to be treated. The doctor there can't believe the boy was brought there instead of the er but treats him anyways. Houston is drawn to Charlie but knows he can't make any promises because he's leaving soon. After leaving the boy in his mother's care Charlie leaves and dreads the next day at work. Houston can't stop thinking about Charlie and tracks her down saving her from unwanted advances of one of the fathers. They go out and one thing leads to another and they end up in bed together. Charlie knows nothing can come of it so she tries not to get her hopes up. When Houston ends up back in town Charlie has a secret of her own to share with him. However in their small town its not a secret for long. Charlie is pregnant with Houston's baby but the evil mom is making accusations that could cause Charlie to lose her job. Will the truth come out about who the baby daddy is? Can Houston settle down with Charlie instead of trying to escape the dread small town he hates?

This was a great story I couldn't put it down once I started. The characters drawn you into their world and you want them to get their heart's desire by the end of the book. If you haven't read this book now is your chance to grab it. This is definitely a must read,

Charlie’s dream was to be a nurse but she had to put that dream aside and switch to teaching for a couple of reasons…money and responsibility.

Her first teaching job landed her in Summit Springs, Utah. She loves the kids but the parents are a different story. More than once she finds herself in front of the principal because one of those “privledged” parents is venting their displeasure with her.

An accident on the playground sends Charlie to the local doctor’s office with one of her students, that’s where she meets Dr. Houston Pope. Needless to say he is drop dead gorgeous and she is a bit tongue tied ... that’s about the time the “mom” arrived and dismissed Charlie without so much as a thank you.

After such a challenging day, Charlie did something unexpected… she stopped at a bar for a drink hoping it would settle her a bit. Imagine her surprise when the hunky doctor showed up and this is where the story takes on an interesting twist.

There is immediate chemistry as well as a lot of challenges because Dr. Pope is carrying some heavy baggage. Events of the past are brought to light but not before so many things seem to go wrong. You will meet some really nice people, a couple of jerks and an assortment of busy-body towns people which leads to an ending that brings closure to many questions.

For me. the beginning was a little slow and had way too much chatter. Also, it took so long to find out what was going on with Houston which is why I took off a star for the rating. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved this story about a doctor named Houston and a young teacher named Charlie. Houston was filling in for the doctor in his home town before he started a job in Alaska. Houston was moving because he was finding it hard to get a job because a former patient falsely accused him of misconduct resulting in him being fired. Houston is cranky and hard to get along with and he doesn't do relationships because he thinks all women can't be trusted. When Charlie brings a student to his office with a sprain, he is instantly attracted to her, but when the boy's mother arrives, Charlie leaves. Charlie is living with her mother's best friend and is teaching at a private school where the parents are all rich and treat Charlie like garbage. When Houston sees Charlie later that night in a bar, he asks if she wants to go back to his motel with him. Charlie is a virgin and thinks she should do something for herself once and agrees to go with him because Houston is leaving the next day and she will never have to see him again. Only Houston misses his plane and is left in town for another week, giving them a week to have some fun together. This was another great one by Kira, I love the characters and I really thought they were great together. Houston's mother was funny and knew how to get what she wanted from him. Great one.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! I really enjoyed Charlie and Houston's story. It pulled me in from the beginning to the end. It was refreshing to see that someone born into money was not like the others around him. Houston did not like the way the people in his circle behaved like they were better than others. Charlie is different. She is just a woman who wants to teach kids. She is viewed as a threat by the mothers of the children she teaches and ogled by the fathers. Charlie and Houston meet when she takes one of her students to the doctors after he falls and injures his wrist. Houston is drawn to Charlie from the beginning, which is new for him since all his focus has been on his job and nothing else. The two agree to a one night stand that ends up being for a week. Houston leaves to his new job and returns almost two months later when his mother says she is feeling ill. In the time that they are apart neither can stop thinking about the other. Charlie has had to deal with her work and the threat of being fired when a mother accuses her of fraternizing with her husband. Houston finds out about what is going on and later about the secret Charlie has yet to reveal. Will they be able to get through everything? Will Houston understand why Charlie has not yet told him what is going on? Can Houston finally realize Charlie is the one for him and that they are meant to be? Very well written story with a wonderful HEA.

Charlie teaches kindergarten at a school for the rich & snobby. None of the moms like her for some reason. She happens to meet Houston who is a Dr that is on his way out of this town due to a scandal brought on by these same snobby people. He thought just one night was all he’d need. Ended. Up he was in town longer they kept meeting up. He finally left he still thought of her. She affected him more than he thought possible. Meanwhile she finds out she’s pregnant has no way of contacting him. The women at that school are still nasty to her including one of the dads that is trying to make a play on her.
Houston’s mom suspects something & invites her to her home & confronts her but not in a bad way. She even tries to get the two of them back together. Everything seems to go good except that she hasn’t told him about the baby. Then it comes out but not in the right way. Can their relationship be saved?

Kira Blakely has hit the mark and then some with Delivering her Secret!! Five stars isn’t enough for this sweet, hot and addicting book!
Houston Pope, is an OB/GYN has returned to his small home town on his way to Alaska to try and start over after some allegations that cost him his previous position. He has changed to a man that refuses to let himself feel anything in life, except for those beautiful moments when he delivers a child. He admits that he’s a dick to most people but that’s his self protection because he won’t allow himself to be put into a position where he can be betrayed again. Yet he finds himself being pulled to Charlie and can’t resist her. Charlie just moved to town and is the kindergarten teacher at a prestigious school. The local snobbish “mean moms” don’t like her because she’s beautiful, young and kind. When one of her students falls on the playground she rushes him to the doctor’s office and meets Houston.

What was only to be one night evolved into a week of incredible chemistry between these two. Houston leaves but can’t stay away and comes back. Will Charlie tell him her secret and will he stand by her or will it be the end?

This was a great story by Kira. Charlie is a new kindergarten teacher, and while all the students love her, the mothers do not. The mother's are vicious, snobby women. Even though Charlie does everything right, they always find something to complain about. Houston is in town for a short stint until he goes to Alaska. When Charlie and Houston meet the attraction is instantaneous. They get together and it was only supposed to be one night, but when he misses the plane he ends up staying a week. They promise that what they have will only be the week. During the time they are apart, neither can forget about the other. When Houston needs to come back, their attraction is still just as strong as before. Their chemistry is very hot and there is a lot of steam. What will happen when Houston finds out he left a surprise with Charlie before he left? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this. This book was a fast paced quick read that you will devour. I loved it and would definitely recommend it.
Charlie is a kindergarten teacher at an up tight rich school. All the parents hate her and are constantly looking for reasons to get her fired. So when one of her students falls and hurts his arm she brings him straight to the doctor.
Houston hates this small town. One more day then he's out of there. He heads to the only bar in town but once he's there he sees her all alone at the bar. She came in to the office with her student and she looked even better now. He convinces her to come to this hotel for his last night in town. Then they never have to see each other again. That is until he misses his plane and can't quit thinking about her.
This book is really good with a HEA ending.

Semi angsty, loads of emotions, a hero with daddy issues, evil rich snots and a heroine who while super sweet is a doormat at work. Sounds like I hated it huh? I didn't though. I usually would have but the hero is an obstetrician whose amazed by his job, his mother is a slightly loopy sweety, and the heroines aunt is a super supportive woman. They managed to get through their issues and the end was adorable.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book from Booksprout for an honest review. Another amazing read by Kira Blakely! This is one hot, sexy, romantic and instant chemistry between Charlie and Houston. Houston a doctor on his way to a new job and winds up stuck in his mother’s small town. These two meet by happenstance and the chemistry is electric, Houston not the commitment type wants Charlie for one night no strings attached, but their one night turned into spending time together for the week he’s in town. Charlie is a teacher in this little town and having problems with the parents in her school and dealing with the feelings she has for Houston ends her in a little deeper water than she expected to be. Parents can be a pain and Houston’s is no different, interference from outsiders into their business, can they survive it? You will have to read for yourself to find out how their story ends. Great book, highly recommend it.
