Be Mine

Rate this book
~Melah~

Lukas Kostas was the one for me. The man who I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with. He was supposed to be mine and mine alone. How could he hurt me so?

He was tall, dark and handsome. One look and he sent chills down my spine. His cocky grin was sinful but he broke my heart in a way that tore my heart into a zillion pieces so I ran and never looked back until now.

One kiss, one look is all it takes from Lukas, for me to wonder about the decision I made about our marriage and the life I want going forward.

~Lukas~

Melah Kostas, my beautiful wife up and left me without a word. My heart wasn't supposed to be ripped from my chest and I wasn’t supposed to still love a woman who deserted me in the way she did. How could she do that to me... to us?

Now, she is back and my heart has returned intact. If she thinks she is running again she will be disappointed. Melah, is my heart and she will be mine again. And I will prove to her I am all hers. I will never desert her. I am here to stay... Forever.

The extraordinary story of love, fate and a promise of forevermore.

Um he did cheat...it was a kiss, it was a make out session that he only stopped because he heard somthing. IMO this was never properly addressed. The h ends up apologizing because she left him for 3 years over a "stupid kiss"... again it wasn't JUST A KISS!!! Sorry thats really bugging me🙄

Communication is the key!

That is what Melah found out about her marriage to Lukas Costas. Instead of her confronting what she saw in Lukas' office, she chose to run away and waste 3 years of being away from the man she married and loved. All it took for her was to come back in town and really see what was happening to rekindle her love for her husband and all thoughts of the divorce papers was trashed or so she thought.

The author wrote a quick easy read about a married couple who are trying to rekindle their marriage after being separated. Melah had to learn how to communicate with her husband and get over her anger for what she thought was happening. Lukas had to get over being angry with Melah for leaving him for no apparent reason. He also had to deal with other parties in play that did not want this reunion. This story also showed how a parent's marriage of staying for the sake of vows and or children, can adversely affect them, even as adults, which was the initial influence in Melah's leaving.

Garbage

Didn't even finish reading. The style of writing is basic. I mean no one talks like the characters do. Plot had potential but it fell flat for me. and the author couldn't make up her mind about what the characters knew ..one sentence they knew what the conflict was, two sentences down stiff on the same topic and they talked as if they knew. Was just a hot mess and there is a big difference between hot and steamy and crass and vulgar. Don't think author knows the difference

Melah

This is a cute story about forgiveness and misunderstanding. I love how the author shows how outside people can mess up a relationship if one is not careful.

Funny but not meant to be

These are two of the dumbest characters written. Lukas and Melah have been separated for three years. Melah walks out because she thinks Lukas is cheating on her. Lukas claims. he doesn't know why she left . He has known where she ran off to as he hired a detective to keep an eye on her. He knows she has a new man in her life yet he has made no move in three years to find out why she left. She return to town on business and to serve him with divorce papers. They are both so gullible they are manipulated by an outside party who wants to be with Lukas. Note since Melah has been gone for three years the other woman role has not changed one iota makes her a fool also, he has made no move and neither has the other woman. So essentially every character is an idiot. So if you can overlook tho flaw OK read as they try yo rebuild their marriage. Also note the sex scenes are a bit aggressive as Lukas wants to reassure his claim to her body so language is overly graphic.

I love the Kostas

The Love the Kostas. Lukas devotion to Melah (Beautiful name by the way) to his hurt that she lerft without explaining on why she left. I would have stayed and confronted Cassidy and him. But when they found out Melah should dog walked her butt. Little lrying Cow. Love the Support he gives her with her Job and her Betrayal with sleeping with Morris. Theresa the way you wrote her PUNNISHMENT. LORD I WAS FANNING MYSELF TO COOL DOWN. Freaking awesome love. Wished it could have been longer, But I still loved it. And the story following it. Have it on my list to Read 💞💞💞💞💞

Good chemistry

Miscommunication and trust were the issues that separated Melah and Lukas. However, it was communication and trust that reunited them. The couple had good chemistry. Some of the story was repetitive like her parents' relationship. There was a little inconsistency about where she was for three years, it changed between Dallas and New York. There were a lot of flashbacks, but they helped to develop the story. Even though some aspects were predictable, it was a good story overall. It showed that the heart wants what it wants, regardless of time apart.

Nice!!

The story between Melah and Lukas is amazing. No matter how much time you are apart and meet up again true love will always show itself. For as Cassidy she needed a beat down for the things she did to interfere with their relationship. Even though Melah had trust issues because of what her dad did to her mom, she learned that all men was like her dad. Good read!!!!

Loving during the rough times

Great read! The Epilogue was sparse but this is a must read. It amazes me how one just leaves without having all the facts. Lukas Kostas and Melah Kostas are soulmates that let pride keep them apart; but not for long!

Be Mine

This is a story about how lack of communication and comforting one fear instead of running away can lead to years of heartache. Melah & Lukas story takes the reader on that journey. Overall enjoyable read. Recommend

Well written

Melah did a lot of maturing from the beginning of this story. Lukas was a forgiving but stubborn man that loved his wife beyond reason.

2.75, respectively!

I think the OW drama is the thing that really saved the story for me. If you’re wanting to read a book about OW drama, perfect for you. Other than that…

First off a husband who’s been watching you since you left him, but doesn’t want to go after you?! Make that make sense!

I also know that some guys are very oblivious to other women’s subtle advances on them. Yet your wife is telling you, ‘hey I have a problem with your secretary. I understand you think you guys are just friends and you see her as a sister. I don’t think she sees it that way. Could you please talk to her or have her not be in your space.”

If he had just compromised and was respectful of his wife’s concerns she would’ve left in the first place.

Overall very ridiculous, and the only thing that was saving it, was the drama between the secretary and the wife. More so the secretary!

I was tempted to give this book a 1

The writing style was amateurish. I went back to see when this book was released thinking it was either an old book or if it was new, it would be the authors only one. As many books as she has I think the writing should be more refined.

Plot - weak/underdeveloped
Characters - annoying. Melah had big talk before she arrived and the moment she ran into Lukas, I knew she'd take him back. Lukas, the cheater talks about taking his vows seriously and yet he had an emotional and physical affair with Cassidy. (I count kisses) And he was clueless of her true feelings for him. Lastly Cassidy was way to interested in Lukas' relationship with Melah. It was obvious she was jealous of Melah and wanted Lukas for herself. The drama with her was just pointless.

This book should have been called, "Two Morons and a secretary".

This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read. The characters were one dimensional and dumb ass hell. It felt like it was written by a horny teenager. There was no plot. Just one unsexy graphic sex scene after another. There was no indication that the main characters, dumb and dumber, even loved each other. They just liked disrespecting one another then make up by having sex.
The grammar was atrocious. Its like Hodge never heard of proof reading. I felt dumber for having read that steaming pile of...nonescense. Save your time... Don't read this if you value your time.

Rushed and very weird!

I have read several of MS. Hodges books, and this one is the first like it... I waited for it rather impatiently and was disappointed by the outcome...
For the first time, I am reading a MS. Hodges story and there were several grammatical errors, and even the underlying story was botched...
It was rich and extremely weird, not to say that this is not MS. Hodges at her best

This was really good. Both husband and wife made mistakes and that is life! I am glad that Mehla matured towards the end and did not fly off the handle and leave Lukas when his crazy assistant tried to say that she and Lukas were having an "affair" behind Mehla's back! That girl is a true psycho! Most wives would have smacked her down before she could utter another word! LOL! Anyway, it was good and I am glad that Lukas and Mehla Kostas got their HEA! Whew!

Uhhh...No.

This was a bust for me. Way too much raunchy sex with TMI in those scenes. The main story was good...I liked the characters Melah & Lukas but their story was overshadowed by the over the top sex commentary. I
I have the 2nd story...Angels' Return as a standalone. It's a much better read.
Be Mine also had some distracting editing errors. 👎

Typo's!!!!.

There are way too many typo's in this book. That took away a lot from the story. I can understand not having the money for a editor, but what the hell is wrong with proofreading your own work?????? IJS!!!.

unrealistic characters, poorly outlined plot

Lots of grammatical errors, and a poorly constructed storyline. It was very difficult to get invested in story or any of the characters. Very unrealistic.

Alright storyline

Too many missing words, and the dialogue verse the lead characters is not romantic at all. An okay read but I didn't enjoy the caveman way that Lukas spoke to and of Melah.

Poor use of flashbacks. This read like a diary. The whole story is plotless. If you want to read about people describe it there sex life in unnecessary detail.

Ugh

He loves her but kissing a woman whom he felt like was a sister, with tongue? I stopped on page 40. She’d be an idiot to take him back. No thanks........

Not enough plot

I'm not sure why the main characters loved each other except for sex. There was so much bedplay that the story was submerged. A lot of editing errors.

This book was okay.
A bit shallow in places, alot of sex.
The h left and she should have sorted things out but I felt the H played down what he did. He participated, even if it wasn't as bad as it looked. To me he still betrayed his wife, even in a small way.
Some things were stated as happened and I would have liked to read it happening, meeting with his parents for example.
