Grape Seed Falls #3

Charming the Cowboy

A billionaire bachelor, the woman who's been crushing on him, and a fateful accident at his boarding stable...

Third grade teacher Heather Carver has had her eye on Levi Rhodes for a couple of years now, but he seems to be blind to her attempts to charm him. She's about to throw in the towel when an accident on his horse farm finally has him looking her way.

Levi, who started his boarding stable from scratch, thinks he has everything he needs. Plenty of money, horses, and his beloved Texas Hill Country. Women have never brought him anything but trouble, and he's not interested. No sirree.

Until his best friend's little sister gets badly injured while at his stables. Then Heather infiltrates his life in ways he'd never thought possible, and his strict anti-female stance slips. Will Heather heal his emotional scars and he care for her physical ones so they can have a real relationship?

Romance, clean, faith elements, series, but stand alone read
Heather and Levi's story was a wonderful, beautiful fall. L.I. knows how to tell a story. Two honest, hurting hearts, hoping that healing will come. Always a great read. Heather and Levi were heartfelt, honest characters. Levi's mistakes, heartbreak and hurts keeping him from seeing a future. Heather wondering if her heart will ever completely belong to anyone. Loved this read. Their misunderstandings, miscommunications, hurts, hopes, but best, beautiful caring and chemistry made for a perfect read. L.I. always delivers with her stories. Loved seeing bits of Dwayne from the previous novel in this. He was a great brother to Heather. Family, healing, and of course, a lovely romance. The pieces always fall together in the best possible way!

Heather and Levi have known each other all their lives. Levi is her brother's best friend. He left town for a few years and since he came back several years ago he really hasn't dated anyone. Heather has been going to the open riding at his horse stables almost every Friday for the past three years hoping he would notice her but he doesn't really notice any women. Then she has an accident when the horse she is riding gets spooked and the Levi starts to notice her. Levi has a lot of secrets that he has not told anyone, not even his family. But after he convinces Heather that she should stay with him while she recuperates from her injuries, he feels enough trust in her to start telling her some of his secrets. Then they start dating after a few days and he starts to talk more about more of his secrets and finally gets all of them out over a couple days but then he walks away from her. He won't talk to her anymore and just says he needs some time, so she give him time. She moves back home and finally goes back to work but when he finally calls she doesn't answer his calls and finally tells him she needs some time. Will Levi ever tell his family all of his secrets and how he got all his money? Will he be able to get Heather back when he realizes that he loves her? Will Heather forgive him and admit that she loves him too or will she walk away because he seems the type to not talk about things that are important?

CHARMING THE COWBOY by Liz Isaacson
Heather a teacher for ten years, looking forward to the open riding period and one handsome guy name Levi. Two years and nothing, what was there about him, and the other cowboys she dated they didn’t fit. Heather’s oldest brother was his best friend, and she was easy to talk to. He wouldn’t give up his freedom, even if he was unhappy. Everything changed when she got thrown off the horse. Her brother wants her to go to the ranch, uneven grounds, stairs. Levi’s offer his place main floor, chef, which will she chose. She’s had a crush on him , a jewelry box and a kiss on the cheek, was all it took. Great story of a love that didn’t die for her, readers will love it.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

In this third book of the Grape Seed Falls series, we meet with Heather and Levi once again. Heather has had an unrequited crush on Levi for years and her only consolation is that he doesn't look at any female let alone her. In some ways she is luckier than most as Levi is her brother's best friend and when he visits he at least has to acknowledge her. Her brother Dwayne has done his best to stear Heather's attention away from Levi however the hearts wants what the heart desires. It is only when Heather has a serious fall at Levi's stables that he acknowledges that his feelings for Heather go a bit deeper than he has allowed himself in the past. However, in order to start a relationship with the upbeat teacher, he first has to admit to his past and that is the hardest thing he has ever had to do. As the secrets start to come out, they become more and more difficult to swallow and eventually Heather withdraws knowing that until Levi has made his own peace with the past, she doesn't stand a chance with him. There is so much pain and suffering in this book, and yet at the end of it all there is redemption and healing for those who seek it. There are characters in this book from previous books in the series and in many ways it is a continuation of Craving the Cowboy, but it is nevertheless a standalone and has a happy ending. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Now I am sure that not everyone is as major of a Liz Isaacson fan as I am, but if you happen to be a fan of her novels about 'Three Rivers Ranch'- you'll love this book and the entire series! Wonderful characters, page turners, and inspirational are just a few of the adjectives that I would use to describe these novels by Ms. Isaacson!

"Charming the Cowboy" is the third novel in the Grape Seed Falls series and was beautifully written with an excellent story-line. This novel brings together two stories that we have come to love, the stories of Thatcher and Dewayne, as we find out what happens with their baby sister- Heather. Can Heather win over the love of her life, Levi, or is there too much time and distance between them? Can Levi overcome his dark past to have a bright future with the woman who has always been in front of him or are some secrets just to deep to rise to the surface?

This is the third novel in this series so far, but I look forward to the others to come later on in the future! The preview of the upcoming novel, "Courting the Cowboy" left all readers with an amazing story to look forward to. It also helps to know that there will be one more after that as well, "Claiming the Cowboy." Bring on the wonderful novels, Ms. Isaacson, your reader's (especially this one) cannot wait to read them!

We first met Heather in book 2 of this series ... she's Dwayne'so sister. Heather was so good at giving her brother advice on his relationship with Felicity, she forgot to heed her own advice.
Heather has a major crush on Levi Rhodes. Levi is her brothers best friend so they've known each other their whole lives. The problem? That's all he saw her as, his best friends sister. Heather goes to Levi's riding stables every Friday. He never notices her; that is until a freak accident that involves her and one of his horses. This accident is what brings the two of them closer, closer than either of them ever dreamed of. Levi has demons in his past that still haunt him. Will these demons build a wedge between their new found likeness for each other? Will Heather'so past relationships do the same? God works thru us all in mysterious ways. Will He be able to help the two of them? What will their families think?
This was another great story written by Liz Isaacs on and I can't wait to read the next one. Happy reading and hopefully you'll enjoy this as much as you have the others.

Teaching was sapping Heather Carver dry. After ten years, she was exhausted, emotionally and physically depleted. For two years she had been trying to get Levi Rhodes’ attention. “She seemed to live her life in almosts. She almost got married, almost went to graduate school, almost won a beauty pageant.” Levi Rhodes has “sworn off women” focusing instead on goats, horses, and the boarding stable. “He may never feel happy again but freedom was worth the price. He wondered if he’d lost the ability to love again.” Heather had been dreaming of winning Levi’s heart for years. “He’d left a decade earlier and returned a shell of the boy/man she’d known.” Can she finally catch his eye?

I really bonded with these characters. I loved their relationship and connection. “What was strange was how she’d always been there, and he’d never seen her.” This story is the perfect balance of romance with a fast-paced plot. This complex story unites a broken man with the woman who has always loved him.

I received a free copy of this book. All opinions are uniquely my own.

I'm not sure what it was about Heather and Levi's story, but I enjoyed it much more than book 2 of the series. I voluntarily listened to and reviewed the Audio version received from the author. It was the same narrator, but the narration seemed to have more life, more happiness, more promise.

Feeling that way was kind of surprising considering the subject matter was heavier than in the previous book. I thought it was great that Levi found solace and peace in prayer.

I felt badly for Levi, especially after he found some joy in his life. I thought Heather had a slightly harsh reaction to what Levi said, especially after he had shared his deepest and darkest secrets with her. I'm not sure, but did Heather ever accept that she had control issues?

Levi and Heather found their way to each other with patience and prayer. They ended up with their HEA after all. I would give this book 4.5 stars.

Heather is sooo in love with Levy and has been for years. As long as sh could remember. There was a little flame there once or did she imagine it? Levy does notice Heather but he doesn't feels he has much to offer to a woman, like marriage and a nice home.He wants to buy a cattle ranch of his own but everything costs money!!
Heather goes to the Open Riding at the ranch just so she can see Levy. Mr Mumbles never says much and he just ignores her. Then there is the accident. Levi's horse is spooked and falls on Heather. Levi feels responsible for the accident and Heather sees it as an opportunity to get closer to Levi. Will their romance have a chance? Heather is all about the Love and Levi is all about Money! This is the best novel written by Liz Issacson. Each one is better than the last because she pours her heart and soul into it. I can't wait for the next one!!!

I had started to fall in love with Heather and Levi in the previous book. After getting the chance to live in their heads in this book, I’m completely smitten. Levi has some big secrets he’s been keeping from everyone around him; burdens that could break him if he doesn’t learn to share the load. Heather’s suffered some dating disasters, most recently being her unrequited crush on Levi. What’s it going to take for Levi to see her as more than just his friend’s little sister? And is Heather strong enough to help him recover from the secrets that have been holding him back from life? I loved seeing these two strong, stubborn people learn how to share their lives and hearts with one another. And it was so much fun to watch them interact with their friends and families.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

This is my first one with this author . This is a good audio . It will certainly entertain you . This story has many layers that will certainly have you guessing . This is a clean sweet audio
This story is about the hero Levi. Heroine is Heather .

Heather has had a crush on her bothers best friend Levi . The problem in Heather eyes is Levi only sees her as her brothers best friend. How does Heather get Levi to notice her .
Levi’s finally notices Heather when he has to help her. Heather falls off a horse and Levi knows the house she lives in won’t do for her injuries. Levi suggested that a Heather stay at his place. Do Levi and Heather make a go of it .

Caroline did a fantastic work narrating this story . Her voice is great , clear , strong and steady. .

Sweet Cowboy/Veteran Read!!

Heather is a teacher looking for “more”. She rides horses out at Levi’s stables (as do many eligible ladies) but he never notices. Levi doesn’t think his heart can love again after a tragic loss. When Heather is hurt at the stables, Levi takes responsibility for her care while she is incapacitated. This leads to humorous and frustrating situations, and Levi realizes he is comfortable around Heather as he is not with many others.

An emotional journey for both these characters as outside influences, and past work against the possibilities of the future. Beautifully written.

Charming the Cowboy: A Christian Contemporary Romance
: Liz Isaacson

I missed the first two books in the Grape Seed Falls series. This is book three. I got to meet the characters for the first time. This is a sweet clean romance that has taken years to be realized. Will they find happiness or will past secrets and choices keep them apart. A nice story with cowboys, horses, peaches a dog and cats!
I will have to go back and listen to the first two books.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Caroline McLaughlin brings the story to life.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Heather had a crush on Levi for the longest time but she thought he didn't even know she was alive. Levi was a very wealthy cowboy and he kept quiet about his feelings for Heather. After she was thrown from a horse, he insisted she stay at his ranch until she was able to care for herself. They grew closer during her stay. She wished they could have a life together. He was wishing the same thing. Neither knew the others true feelings. Their story is a clean romance, an enjoyable read. I highly recommend Charming the Cowboy.

Fish tacos

I love fish tacos, and I’m hungry, so I’m going to go get me some. While I rejoice in the union of these two folks.

It’s easier to talk about fish tacos than talking about a stillborn baby. The anguish, the unknown, and the what if’s are overwhelming, the why did God allow this to happen?

But then there’s God and His healing. Renewal. Fresh mercies new every morning. And grace. Forgiveness.

Loved this book. It’s not a heavy read, but it did touch me. So buy the book. Feel the love of God.

** Audiobook review ** Another fantastic story by Liz Isaacson that Caroline McLaughlin brings to life with her beautiful narration. This sweet romance brings together two characters previously mentioned in other the Grape Seed Falls series. I was soooo happy that Levi & Heather got their own story...and what a story it is! I refused to take my lunch break until I finished listening to this audiobook. Ha! Make sure you check out the series on audiobook (or read the books if audiobooks aren’t your thing).

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Heather Carver has had a crush on Levi Rhodes for a long time, and goes to the horse riding on his ranch nearly every Friday evening. When the horse she’s riding gets spooked, she ends up with a sprained ankle and broken arm. The Dr. says she needs someone with her for the next few days, so Levi takes her to his ranch. He has a lot of issues from his past that must be overcome before he can be in a lasting relationship. This is a tenderhearted book that is worth the read.

Sweet, heartwarming cowboy romance

Overcoming the past isn't easy. Can Levi open his heart to Heather and get past his secrets? Can Heather accept Levi's history and can they move forward together?
Liz Isaacson's characters are flawed, believable people with faith to see them through their struggles. This story of moving forward is another example of her sweet love stories. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is a very romantic story. I really enjoyed it. I'm glad they got together. I cried when Levi decided to go back to Kentucky. I figured that would be his course to healing but was glad when he did! This book shows how much our pasts can really play havoc with our futures & that we have to put the in GOD's hands for is grace & mercy to heal us.

I greatly enjoyed this book about Heather and Levi. A good relationship requires hard work, dedication, and open communication. It is difficult when when of these fails or if someone has not forgiven themselves from past mistakes. The constant giggling from a grown woman is always difficult to read past, why can't she just laugh? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

The third in the Grape Seed Falls series, this is the story of how Levi, featured in the previous book, comes to see Heather as more than just his best friends little sister.
Again this features the usual Liz Isaacson themes of overcoming personal adversity to achieve your happy ending, plus pets and food!!!
This book is poignant and amusing in equal parts and will charm and delight you.

I was really excited this book was about Heather and Levi after being introduced to them in the previous book. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster through this book. There were so many highs and lows. Levi has a past that he'd rather leave in the past, but it gets in the way of falling in love. Heather and Levi are a great couple if they can get passed their differences.

Oh yes I finished this book in one day and my husband wanted to kill me because I stayed up so late to finish the book. Miss Isaacson is a very good writer. Her descriptive writing really puts you in the scene and her way of writing such a beautiful clean book and yet you could feel the love between the lovers.

Another fabulous Grape Seed Falls romance

I am completely addicted to this sweet, romantic series by Liz Isaacson. Levi and Heather's story isn't your typical HEA story. They are well developed, realistic characters who find several roadblocks along their path to happiness. I enjoyed getting to know flawed characters who just might be better together than they are apart.

Two young people grew up together, he finally sees her as Brown up

This is a very sweet story. Tiny Texas town with ranches surrouding it. Everyone knows everyone and their business. Excerpt one young cowboy, who is very closed mouth and quiet about the time he lived out of state.

This was a great story. I really enjoyed it. Levi owned a stable, taught riding, and rented out his horses for leisure riding. Heather had a crush on Levi for a Long time. They had a difficult time bing together, but finally found a happy everafter. Enjoy their journey.
