Since the author enjoys a good run & has a nutritional background there are lots of helpful tips to optimize your runs.
It's called the Runner's Cookbook, but the recipes are really for anyone who enjoys healthy & delicious food.
Of the recipes I have tried (so far) my favourites were the Turkey Pilaf & the Cherry recovery drink.
Totally something I would recommend to everyone!

Great introductory book on eating & running. Short, easy to read chapters containing the essential information. The book also has nice drawings and photos. The recipes are nice, healthy, a lot of vegetarian options (easy to make vegan). For me, there are too many different ingredients, but I'm lazy, so that is highly personal. Great book for beginner runners especially, not exactly for the recipes but more for the first half which explains all you need to know around food & running.

I read the intro to this, and the general nutrition advice it provides for running various distances seems solid. Can't give it a rating though, as I haven't tried any of the recipes. I suspect a lot of folks with digestive difficulties would struggle to make use of these recipes, laden as they are with dried fruit, legumes and the like.

This isn’t just a recipe book as it contained a whole 2 sections at the beginning on how to fuel for a run. So I classed it as a Good Reads book as I wanted to take in that information and not just use it as a casual reference book. I found the information really helpful and will hopefully utilise it to help my runs in 2023. There was quite a bit of repetition however, but it was probably helpful to keep in mind the way to fuel and drink fluids. The recipes look good and I look forward to making some!

The front section which details how to fuel running is useful and practical without being too technical.
The recipes that follow are easy to prepare, use ingredients that you can actually find, and most importantly are delicious
