Why do I have to have my tail in a knot for the one hot, sexy Werewolf who can’t seem to keep his Johnson in his pants?
I’m a nice girl—really I am. I’m just a typical computer-hacking, knife-throwing, Star Trek-obsessed, overeducated Werewolf nerd who can’t seem to get her love life to compute.
However, it’s time to grow up and face the music or more accurately the man I’m in love with… Junior aka Jacob Wilson—the Alpha of the Georgia Pack. First I’ll have to stand up to some nasty gals who’s pants are so tight I can see their religion. Then I'll claim my man.
What should be an easy feat, gets sucktastic when you throw in a three hundred year old fabulous gay Vampyre, an antiquated motherboard from the 90’s and a challenge from the vicious, deadly Alabama Pack. Not to mention a libido that is out of control. Mine.
So I’m just gonna dive in—head first and eyes closed. Love conquers all. Right? As long as reality doesn’t wear me out, I plan to win.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable. This was my least favorite in the series because of one main thing. No, not the insta-love. No, not the inconsistencies with the rest of the series. It was the language. I really wanted to sign these yokels up for some grammar lessons..... or kill them. Anything to make all of the "dangs", "mother-humpin'", "What in tarnation!", "nard hole", "goddang" just STOP!!
Who the fuck talks like this??? Well, except this guy:
Yeah, so reading the hero's dialogue with this voice in my head was all kinds of not-attractive. *shudder*
Speaking of *ahem* culture. The heroine does get a pretty funny jab in at a chick who is after her man:
Skanky chick to this "great catch" of a man: "Figures you would have picked one of them cultured gals," she hissed. "I have culture. And I can guarantee I'm a lot better in bed than the hussy you mated."
"The only kind of culture you'll ever have is a yeast infection," I shot back.
Need some aloe for that burn?
The best part in this book is that Dwayne's theory that Jesus' middle name is Hesus is catching on. (From the Jesus H. Christ), so all of the characters will occasionally say "Jesus Hesus Christ", and it was always funny for some reason. So, I'm guessing I will also need that aloe for laughing at it.
Were Me Out by Robyn Peterman Shift Happens series book 4. Paranormal wolf shifter. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Sandy is ready to do the mating thing and her instinct says it’s Junior, the alpha of the pack. Junior has lusted after Sandy for awhile. Now they have just a few hurtles to jump to get their happily ever after.
Absurd humor and loony antics, and even a bit crass, this addition to the series is for Junior who is a nerd at heart, and uber sexy to the women of the pack. Sandy needs to prove herself and knock those women out of the running for his attention. Little does she know, he only has eyes for Sandy. Of course there are complications as the Bob’s interfere and the WTF council members are revealing themselves. Read along as this couple gets their hea.
Hollis McCarthy narrated the fourth Shift Happens audiobook as we get Junior aka Jacob Wilson and Sandy’s romance. Sandy has had a thing for Jr since she was a teen, but could never imagine those feelings being returned. Now that she is back from college he has been pestering her, but the man has a reputation and if he wants Sandy, he will have to work for it.
I love nerds. Both Jr and Sandy love all things computers and Star Trek. Jr isn’t a smooth Casanova, he is also a klutz but like Hank he is a sexy alpha were and apparently Sandy is his true mate, only she is being stubborn because Hank was a manwhore. 🤣Mix in some danger, a scary MIL, and you’ve got yourself a good time.
So, it was a cute book. Though it felt like things were changed in previous books to make the plot in this one work. When did Junior become the little brother? Hank was always the little brother in the last 3 books. What happened to all of Sandy’s brothers? Only one was mentioned in this edition. When did Sandy become Essie’s best friend? When Essie recused Sandy in book two, Essie said she knew Sandy but never called her a best friend. I think the author didn’t anticipate binge readers who would pick up on things. Lastly, is there some sort of beef between Robyn and MaryJanice. There are so many digs in Robyn’s books that feel directed at MaryJanice. Maybe I’m wrong but having read book in the same space of time, it sure feels like it.
I have been waiting for Juniors story for as long as Junior has been waiting for Sandy to notice him....lol
I love an exceptionally hot were wolf who geeks out and hides in the bushes outside his mates house for years instead of going up to her and trying to um Talk....lol Junior cracks me up he can man whore all over town and i mean all over town but when it comes to the ONE woman he wants forever he just can't utter the words it's ridiculously sweet and you really just want to punch the dickwad for being such an idiot for so long.
I totally get Sandy's shyness the youngest in her rowdy family and the only girl top that off with her larger than average figure when she was younger, her little shifting problem and her humongous brain and yep there you have all the makings of a very shy nerd who had no idea the hottest guy in school had eyes on her.
So imagine what happens when everything comes out and Sandy realises Junior is actually in love with her, he is not just dicking around and then she also realises she loves him to and always has... OMG talk about hilarious, rolling around laughing because with all the brains the two of them have they totally messed up the equation on them together = magic.
So glad after so much awkwardness, miscommunication and hilarity Junior and Sandy discover each other and boy do they discover each other (fanning myself here) so hot, so sweet, so funny and there is even a few beat downs as well our girl Sandy may not be that good at hand to hand fighting but if you threaten her mate look out :-)
Sandy and Juniors turn for some wicked good humor. The Alpha and the nerd or rather 2 nerds, and doesn't Robyn play and pun it up for all she is worth which is a shipload of worth. The head on this amazing writer is too scary to contemplate, so just grabb this latest installment and run with it.
The gang from Hung Island are back! This time Junior needs to prove to Sandy he's worthy. Sexy, silly, and totally entertaining! Once again, Robyn Peterman proves why I will always one click her books.
Laugh out loud goodness from the first page to the last. Paranormal rom com at its finest. Buy this book and enjoy. I really loved all the characters and was thrilled that Junior and Sandy got their heads out of their tails and took the plunge.
Another delightful book in this series! More hot sexy couples, more crazy granny and offbeat 300 yr old gay vampire and more background on the two sets of parents. Loved it!
Junior finally gets his story! Junior has been one of my favorite characters since the first book of the series. He is a MENSA smart, somewhat spastic redneck with a reputation as a player. Despite outward appearances, Junior is talented and capable. His love interest Sandy is his female counterpart minus the bad reputation. In this book, the alpha of another pack has challenged Junior for control of the Georgia pack. The book is full of Robyn Peterman's trademark humor and the entire Shift Happens crew makes an appearance. I highly recommend this book and series.
Another hilarious book by Robyn. I can't wait to see what the gang will be up to next and if the council comes back for Sandy and Junior. If you enjoy funny books Robyn Peterman is a excellent start. I love everything she writes.
I love Robyn and her sense of humor and the numerous way her characters curse. I laughed and laughed and freaking cried because I was laughing. Her characters are so crazy and ridiculous and quirky it all just fits perfectly together. I can't wait until the next book comes out. I'm always a little frightened but in a good fun horrified way not in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre way. I want to live in one of her worlds and just take it all in and watch it in color.
After reading about Essie, Hank, and Dima, now Junior and Sandy get their story told! Sandy finally sees what’s right in front of her; that Junior is her mate. He has never had any doubt, and has been somewhat patiently waiting for her. OK – waiting might not be the right term, but at least he’s ready now! News of a looming threat forces Sandy to see the real Junior, and thrusts her into action. Dwayne is always fabulous, and Granny is still her crazy self (as evidenced by the royal blue velour boob tube in her purse). Will he or won’t he have to wear the monstrosity that is Sadie’s wedding dress? Tune in to find out! A very fun read, and unlike many books, the mating isn’t the end – it is really the beginning. Robyn has brought forth another winner with laughs and snickers, and of course true love.

A truly laugh out loud book. A must read book and series. Unforgettable characters Junior & Sandy, Essie & Hank granny and DeWayne will touch your funny bone!!!
Was a little shorter than I had expected, but was still a good read. I always look forward to the antics of Robyn's characters, and I always learn new expletives too, lol.
Peterman has added another hit to her Were series with Were Me Out. Junior and Sandy were made for each other.... just took her a bit longer to figure it out! I love the Weres of Hung Island.
. . . Never tell a woman something is impossible till after she's done it! And if you have any brains at all, you don't argue with her if she decides to agree with you after the fact she's just proved your bass wrong! Everyone knew Sandy was a hacking genius and the only one nerdy enough to hand Junior Wilson! Everyone that is, except Sandi herself. But when a challenge comes from the Alabama pack leader Giles Giles, Sandi does some serious reconsidering of her true feelings toward the Alpha Werewolf Sheriff of Hung Island, ( Not to mention the fact that he's the smoking hot Georgia Pack Leader.) No one believes she can fight Gina Giles, but she is determined to do just that. Never underestimate a woman in love, especially a geeky nerdy werewolf protecting her newly mated ruby's hot register! - Definitely another power couple coming to terms with life in Hung Island, with WTF intrigue up the Whazzoo to and spice to the mix.
I've been waiting for Juniors story since the first book and I'm so glad he finally got his story. I loved learning all the new things we never knew about Junior before this book and I thought Sandy was just as adorable as Junior. I really hope Caleb gets his own book and maybe the rest of his and Sandy's brothers will also get their own stories. So if you like hilarious book with some good romance and crazy friends you should definitely pick this book up or for that matter any book by this author.
As a huge fan of Robyn Peterman's stories, I was thrilled that Sandy and Junior's story was finally going to be told! This was not a disappointment! Sandy, the knife welding nerd, is just perfect for Junior, alpha of the pack! I adore how Robyn is able to intertwine characters from the other books in the series while developing new ones to enhance the story! You will love this book if you love humor with your suspenseful paranormal :) !
I have been waiting on Juniors story, and now we have it. Junior has been in love with Sandy forever...but she would nothing to do with him due to him being a "manwhore". In this book Sandy comes to the terms, that she too has loved Junior forever. In my opinion....it's about darn time!!! Love these shifters that Ms. Peterman comes up with and all the wacky people in their lives...Kudos on Junior and Sandy's ...LOVED it!
I was lucky enough to be able to receive an advanced copy of Were Me Out and I have to say that I never get tired of Robyn Peterman's books, she never fails to make me laugh and her characters are so much fun to read that you just want the story to keep going.
Sandy is a nerdy werewolf shifter who is in love with the Alfa wolf shifter who has quite the reputation, but when she realizes her needs her all bets are off. I absolutely loved Sandy and Junior together. What an awesome read.
I blew through this cute little series that reads a lot like an elemental assassin novel. The dialogue was fun, the characters colorful, and the plot well-developed enough for a fun read. Great literature? No. Fast fun. You bet!
This is such a fun series. The characters are quirky, intelligent and care deeply for each other. Make that extremely quirky. The author weaves humor into her stories in a way that makes you feel like you know these shifters. Junior finally has his chance with his true love. She has been avoidant and he has been promiscuous. The physical attraction is a given but as the story progresses each character deepens as does their love for each other. It is a quick and fun, that I enjoyed a lot.
