This book has sat on my shelf for years. It is a copy signed by the author Chloe Holt Glessner herself. Last night I picked it up and today I finished it. It is part autobiography of this retired school teacher turned author, part Christian testimony and part Oklahoma history. It was written in 1966-67 and honestly, I learned a lot about this woman and the state she called home. It was interesting if not a bit slow in parts, but perhaps that was the almost 60 year disconnect in time. My favorite part though, was the chapter dedicated to my aunt and my family….thus the signed copy. It was a walk thru the past of a simpler and maybe a more hopeful time. All in all I found it a good read.
