Oversoul Seven

The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time

Rate this book
Inspired by Jane Roberts’ own experiences as the author of the immensely popular "Seth" books, these three novels — now collected in one volume — are one of the most imaginative tales ever written. Jane Roberts’ beloved character, Oversoul Seven, an ageless student of the universe, explores the entire framework of our existence. . . .

As we follow Seven’s education, our own beliefs about life, death, dreams, time and space are challenged and stretched, leaving us with a refreshing and provocative perspective on the true nature of reality.

In The Education of Oversoul Seven , Seven explores the true nature of his being as he learns to communicate with four of his "incarnations" — four all-too-human people whose lives are separated by centuries, yet who also coexist.

In The Further Education of Oversoul Seven , the adventure continues with Seven facing new lessons as his human incarnations struggle with the problems of sanity, free will, and even godhood.

In the third saga of this exuberant adventure, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time , Seven is instructed to take up residence in a human body while also journeying to the Museum of Time in search of the "Codicils." The Codicils are eternal truths that bring about the greatest opportunities for vitality, understanding, and fulfillment. The adventures of Oversoul Seven, are at once an intriguing fantasy, a mind-altering exploration of our inner being, and a vibrant celebration of life.

For anyone who has read any of the Seth books, get ready for a fantastic spiritual adventure. Jane Roberts not only channels the unforgettably personable Seth. She is also a talented novelist. She will take you on a absolutely delightful spiritual voyage that will help you flesh out the understandings you have gleaned from the Seth books.

I must confess that I have only read "The Education of Oversoul Seven." It is my favorite spiritual novel. That says a lot since I am the author of a series of spiritually-themed novels! The characters in this book are engaging. I loved the way Oversoul Seven drew on his different incarnations in order to continue his education of the nature of his soul.

The book speaks to the eternal moment of NOW; that is, all of our lives intersect and influence each of them for the better good. Whether or not you believe in reincarnation, this book is a delightful fantasy. Perhaps it will open your mind to the possibility that you have led other lives. Oversoul Seven is like a delicious dessert. You won't want to put it down until you are finished. I am thrilled to learn that there are further adventures in store for me.

I can thank Jane Roberts for squarely putting me back on a spiritual track. The end result is that I am now a published author within the spiritual realm.

A hugely enjoyable way to find ultimate truths.

I can only try to express how much I loved this trilogy. I was grinning at times, laughing at others, then teary, and then gasping as particular lines hit straight to the heart of truth; settling into my awareness in a way that has left me utterly changed and uplifted.

It is a bit of a mind bender, but I find that comprehension depends on how often you think about the concepts in these books etc. It gets easier and clearer as you go.

I have read some of the authors 'Seth' material, and while I recognize them for the priceless gifts that they are; I also struggled with understanding it at times. This trilogy is a wonderful way to grasp those concepts in a way that is so fun and entertaining that I am sad there are no more Oversoul Seven books.

So to sum it up, I read an absolute ton of books each week/year, and nothing has touched me quite like this one has.

Highly highly recommended.

This trilogy is unlike anything I have ever read and I believe if after ten or twenty years I came back to this book I would still be amazed, whether you believe in spirituality or not this book will interest you it will honestly interest anyone since the events that unravel are really exciting.
And aside from the exciting events and revelations that unfold throughout the book, Jane's writing style is really unique.

So now I guess I'm going to confess to a slew of reading that took place for me in the mid-eighties, symbolized by this cracktastic New Age book. I may, in trying to jimmie open that section of memory, slosh a bunch of other freaklicious New Agey books into this one which I read around the same time, so, don't crucify me. Although... come to think of it... if you catch me on a point of detail that will just prove that you read the lame ass thing as well.

I grew up in a household devoid of any religious observance. My grandmother had taken me to Jehovah's Witness services as a child, and shoved bibles into my chubby little fists from an early age, but none of the patriarchal beliefs had taken hold, so I was left wandering the planet with a vague sense of spirituality and nothing to hang it on. When I left home at 16 and felt all aimless and ungrounded, my search for SOMETHING began in earnest. It began really with Richard Bach's 'Illusions'. Aha! Something vague, profound and magical I could gravitate toward! Eventually that lead me to a crystal-grotesqued book store in Santa Rosa's Montgomery Village. I haunted it's aisles on a weekly basis, dragging home obscure volumes of belief: Seth Speakswas the beginning of the Jane Roberts books - where a pot-bellied Gestalt follower channels the soul of a pirate from the afterlife. These channelings go on and eventually Seth is reincarnated into like seven lives at the same time... one of which is a young girl and another of which is a firefighter or an astronaut or a time traveler... I don't know... it was very confusing. In the end it was like trying to figure out how many angels dance on the head of a pin. Like most religions or spiritual belief systems it all became ridiculously specific until I said to myself... uhm... really? That's just silly. And went back to watching Monty Python episodes and learning to juggle, cheating at my job by putting too many toppings on the Round Table pizzas until they took me off the front line and made me work the salad bar for the rest of my employment history. One of the fringe benefits of reading New Age books was that it influenced my poetry. This period of my life ended by my writing a poem for a co-worker about how we had been soldiers together in a former life, killed each other on the field of battle, and died crying salty tears which made rivulets down our dirty faces as out souls spun away into the void. I read it out loud to him during a dinner break. You could hear crickets chirping after I was done as he looked at me like I was from Mars... or worse... and tried valiantly to find something to say other than "Wow, you are a terrible terrible poet, please stop assaulting me with your creepy, stalker-like, uber geek self."

Anyway... Overshoe Seven was a cracktastic journey into the mind of a complete snake oil saleswoman. One of the infamous New Ageys whose main purpose in life is to find a magical spiritual silver bullet which will cause them to manifest their higher selves as millionaires with fancy estates and Ducati motorcycles. Uh huh... that's what happens when you're really spiritual. That's why Ghandi spun his own diapers and ate nothing but lemon juice for weeks on end. Whatever.

I read the original books of Jane Roberts "Oversoul Seven" when they first came out and loved them. Now, after reading the Triology, I still love them! I was more fond of the original "Seven.." than the other two follow-up titles, but enjoyed how she was able to change the perspective a bit to interest the reader all over again. For those on a metaphysical path, i highly recommend readign this book.

I have just discovered Jane Roberts, and through her "Seth," who writes about reality beyond which most people from Wisconsin have ever experienced. :~)

Read "The Education of Oversoul Seven"!!! Jane Robert's is the best book to show Seth's explanations of reality. We improved a play of this book and it was a big hit at the Rocky Mountain Seth Conference.

Excellent! A saga that explores the true nature of one's being (in this case Seven's) as he learns to communicate with four of his 'human incarnations/otherselves' whom all (co)exist at the same time, yet whom lives are 'separated' by centuries...

Nice fantasy book that walks away with a comical and dramatic views. It kind of wraps the ideas of her Seth books into living character's.

These were the first 3 of a projected 7-book series. It is extremely unfortunate that Jane died before completing all 7 books.

Jane writes about related reincarnated lives that help the reader to understand that reincarnation is not a series of time-ordered events but there is no time-ordering at all. Thus, the same person could have reincarnational selves operating within the same lifetime. Furthermore, future lives can alter events for past lives (due to there being no linear time). Both ideas that are really hard to imagine, but the events in these three books help.

These books also help to grasp the benefit of such conditions as senility and why they occur. This alternative viewpoint on senility and Alzheimer`s could give people watching loved ones suffer these terrible conditions to get some relief - I am not being facetious, but speaking from the relief these ideas gave me.

Deeply engaging (and well written) and thought provokingly mystical series of stories on their own, as well as an easy to read introduction to the Seth material. I find myself stepping back and opening more to the possibilities of life and time and pondering the diverse threads and connections that make up our engagements with the world as well as with ourselves.

This book was required reading for my Transpersonal Psychology undergraduate class. I thought it was interesting to use fiction as a way to explore concepts like the afterlife, reincarnation and more. Some of these concepts have rules outside our material world stuck in Duality. Our education never really ends as we learn and eventually become mentors ourselves. Who created this system??

Poorly written: incoherent & schizophrenic. Roberts should’ve stuck to non-fiction.

I love Roberts’ spiritual insights and channeled ideas, and there is probably a book yet to be written exploring them thru a spiritual fantasy/thriller-fictional-plot (as Roberts attempts here) with functional and coherent narration (as here Roberts tries & assuredly FAILS)- but this definitely ain’t it 😂

I can't even begin to describe how life changing this book is. I have only read the first book (twice) & I'm still only just wrapping my head around it.

Highly recommend for the spiritually inclined. Why do you feel the way you do? Read this book!

It was enthralling when I was 31 and my only child had just died. At 71, it was just irritating and far too contrived to read, even.

Jane Roberts is an excellent writer and that fact remains. It wasn't needed for me to have her SETH information put in fairy tale form....And, though I've been reading the SETH books for decades, I never felt moved to read Oversoul 7 etc. And, now that I have, I stand by my original opinion. I plowed through most of it and kept wishing it would end, but CHOSE not to give up totally on it. I get the message....We are multidimensional beings, and all of our manifested and un-manifested realities are simultaneous. I'm an artist, author and speaker and gave a seminar talk on simultaneous time about 10 years ago and used ACTUAL events in my life to make my case..so to speak. I guess, I just didn't like all the made-up characters....and of course Jane says she identifies with Cypress. I had to smile when reading this. I kind of identified with Tweetie....everything new and fun!!! Read it, you might love it...and it seems many do. CJKnapp

Oversoul Seven alternates between 4 human avatars as he attempts to connect and relate to each of them. From the perspective of a young soul from the ether, where time does not exist and everything happens all at once... this is the story of the exploration of the purpose of life and how we are all interlinked spiritually. Experience the multiplicities of self in this insightful journey and interpretation. Definitely recommend for anyone into allegorical reads, kabbalah and spirituality.

Interesting

I am a huge reader of Jane Roberts and the Seth material. This book will challenge all conventional thinking as it pertains to world we live in. It was difficult to follow some of the characters through multiple time zones but the author pulls it together nicely by the end of the book.
If you are a Jane Roberts fan this book will not disappoint you.

The difference between the Proteus' plastic, simulated Earth of the future, and the "real earth" he finally gets to experience really gave me a new appreciation for the beauty all around me. Nature is a gift and after reading this I find myself reminded of this more often, and so thankful we haven't messed things up to the point of a fake/simulated world yet.

Anyone reading this book would know that Jane Roberts was a remarkable natural medium who channeled an entity named Seth. Many of Seth's books are widely available.

This book is a fiction based on what Roberts learned through Seth. It furthers the understanding of reincarnation, spirit guides, linear time and physical space. It is very readable and fun.

Interesting insite into the world of the soul. It teaches how we need to listen more intently at our intuitions

You'll learn that all time happens at once and what to learn, discover will effect all time. You can change the past and future.

Nice tale for children but not any links to reality that I could find. If you live in a fantasy world of your own maybe thi is for typu but for those of us who prefer sciene, reality and those things we believe to be factual this is not the book for us!
