. . If life has landed in the form of words in a book, then Malang is a living example of this. A book full of stories with small but deep emotions, Malang is a unique book in itself. These stories from the middle class are very interesting and emotional. For some stories- This composition, which tickles the readers, is actually an example of a sharp writing. When Bihari ascent and English combine, then the atmosphere that is created appears lively in this book. A mother's dedication to her son's future. The portrayal of unbroken love and affection between parent and son is very pleasing. A father's love for a son, a mother's affection. A sense of love and a feeling of responsibility, etc. This work filled with many emotions is really readable. . A must read.
मलंग was initially a 'for a change' pick for me But as soon as I reached 3rd or 4th story, I was totally into it. The book starts with a desi kick of comic scenes and savage slangs, making the 1st story so funny that I wasn't expecting the following tales to have moral lessons and emotional touch in them. But stories like 'पिताजी की मुस्कुराहट' & 'खीर' were so warm and empowering that they gonna stay in my heart for a long long time. The connection that the author had made with readers via different characters and vivid backgrounds is worth appreciating. This makes this book a great choice for bed time stories for both children and adults. Repetitive sentences & variation is font size are 2 most evident and frustrating quality issues which halter a great reading experience otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the simple and catchy narrative and looking forward to read more from सनातन मिश्र I Recommend it to anyone who wants to read something happy, emotional and empowing. Its worth it.

Malang is a compilation of 11 short stories, 1) Half shadi 2) Peetaji ki muskurahat 3) Kheer 4) Fir se 5) Gulzar 6) Barsaat ki raat 7) Dear maa 8) Gulab jamun 9) Chaar baar ishq 10) Window seat wali! 11) Kaki This bright yellow coloured novella begins with half shadi which is filled with humor n ends with kaki which leaves our heart wrenching. These stories are written in one go while sitting next to a window seat. Plot is simple, to the point, all the characters are well developed. Readers, non-readers anyone can pick this up, language seems gregarious but at the same time it's difficult to comprehend the bihari accent.
The book contains hindi short stories. The stories shows various shades of emotions. All the stories are superb and fascinating, though I liked the first story Half Shadi very much. I found it reasonably humourous and witty. I mean you'll also be curious, what half shadi is? The stories have so much to tell. How parents sacrificed their dreams to fullfill yours, the love of a mother and the woman who never forgets the boy she raised and many more.
The stories shows various aspects of human behaviour like sacrifice, love, affection etc.
I haven't read Hindi books in a while, but the stories were great and upto expectations.
This book is very nicely written it has many up and downs where you start the reading with the हाफ् शादी and ends this book with फिर से. पिताजी की मुस्कुराहट this story tells us how our parents sacrifies for us for our better future In the last chapter this line is very well written (जिससे मुहब्बत हो जरूरी नहीं कि उसी से शादी हो पर जिससे शादी होगी मोहब्बत उसी से होगा,) In काकी this story is very heart touching you will cry while reading this story.
Keep it up sir this kind of stories touch everyones heart
Let's start with the cover . Look at it how beautiful it is? Doesn't it carry Indian look? This book is set of 11 stories which our young author wrote it in a train . I read them while sitting in window seat of my bus . He mentioned north India as a country rather than part of India . The culture and habitats are different from other parts of India . These story are feel good . They make you laugh ,cry , happy , full fill your heart . It's such a feel good book . I really loved it .
Malang !!! Stories.... That someone told, someone wrote.... Stories that will touch your heart, mind and soul 😇😇 I have got mine .... get yours as soon as possible.... .
• a light read • collection of short hindi stories (some being moral lessons) • character building is worth appreciation • Relatable characters from all phases of life and circumstances. Some characters gonna stay with me for a really long time. • vivid background: all kind of stories ranging from funny to emotional to dramatic to hopeful and empowering. • appropriate for children as well as adults • खीर was so touching story, and hence my favorite. • a bit too dramatic at time(not that I'm complaining) • Repetitive sentences & variation is font size are 2 most evident and frustrating quality issues • Happy ending are my thing, so thats another plus point.
I like the narration, The book is full of sentiments, Funny too as well as sad, When it comes to Hindi I always prefer a book with sentiments, When I finished this book I was looking for the next chapter but it was not there, that time I realize that I have finished it. The language is so easy and friendly cover looks so good and title is also good main thing the narration it's was so good, So that's it. Thanks for reading guys.
You can definitely find this book as yours. Each and every story connects us with the little things that happens around us in our day today life.they are powerful to keep u intact for a time and to make you break apart, i loved the way how writer beautifully observed the people, incidents, surroundings and framed it in a form of story, much awaited for the second session. Best thing about the book and writer is that he has kept everything short.
Good attempt ! But the language in the last chapter could have been a little bit better. Since I am verbally telling these stories to senior people, the last story of window seat should have had a bit better language :) Else, everything was great !
A first time reader of a hindi book...loved the start...amazing way of story telling...i could imagine myself next to Dhirendra while he described his half shaadi.
The stories are nicely framed in India's most spoken dialect. All the stories are gripping and entertaining. It depicts the various shades of the persona and the emotions. 'पिताजी की मुस्कुराहट' is the one I liked most. All these 11 stories are the inscription of multiple cultures and even included a village environment and slang in a few of the tales. The narration is so simple and went on as if having a conversation with a fellow friend.
