This is an excellent book for anyone who is working in the oil field, whether they are new to the job or a seasoned worker. It provides clear descriptions of real life situations that oil and gas personnel encounter on the job, and guidelines for preparing for and avoiding dangerous operations. The book should be required reading for everyone from management to the hands. Colleges and universities should provide this valuable text to students in petroleum programs.

“MU CT BHA and RIH to clean out to FC.” Writes Mr. Hatami. If you did not read that as “Make up the coiled tubing bottom hole assembly and run it in hole to clean out to flow check.” You will struggle with this book.

The turgid use of weighty jargon has almost shut in Mr. Hatami’s rich well of experience. But if some pleasant quotations and gory stories can propel you through misspellings and the passive voice, you can learn a great deal from this industry expert.

Oilfield Survival Guide is a must read if you want to understand what is it to work in this industry. I highly recommend it. Oil Companies should give this to all of their employees. It should be handed out. I really enjoyed it and think it will be a standard book for practical application in this business.

Sets the Standard in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Highly recommend this book to everyone that works in the industry or is considering entering the oil and gas business. This book is focused on practical application not theory. Should be required reading. It is a masterpiece, probably save companies a lot of trouble and money.

This book contains loads of practical information, which some I found to be a bit too detailed for a casual reader. Despite a slightly preaching tone, it was very professional and showed the author’s extensive knowledge about all sorts of oilfield situations.
