Gothic Princess

Rate this book
High up in the towers of the Kingdom of Glass and Steel, lives a princess of untold beauty. Cursed to live forever, she resides, not in some far off land of make-believe, but instead in the modern city of Chicago… The Gothic Princess is random, quirky, epic, and—oh—also free.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story is rude, vulgar, graphic, and... well, you get the point. And the fun thing? It was once a children's book.

Falcon Storm was born in the frozen wastelands of Alaska. All that time spent in the dank, dark cold was quite enough, so he moved far, far away to the slightly-less-cold state of Michigan and now continues to seek out warmth by making others laugh. From role-playing games to spinning tall tales, he’s always been a storyteller. These days he writes about funny and fantastical worlds set just beneath the surface of our own and works from home writing conspiracies and raising his sassafras daughter, Phoenix.

Think snarky messed up urban fantasy fairy tale and you'd get something like this. A man climbs a tower, some bros get stoned, sentient beings hate on pigeons, and some things go splat in the night, while a princess is less than amused. Darkly humourous and very original.

Quirky short story, this is right up there with the original Grim fairytales but with a bit more snarky dark humor. The Gothic Princess in the steel tower is living in downtown Chicago not a fantasy world. I enjoyed this weird dark tale.
