Sebastien—
Unlike my last name, St. Clair, no one would ever call me a saint. In fact, fans of my NHL team, the Atlanta Comets, call me "The Sinner." According to my sealed juvenile records and the various women I’ve used and discarded, it's not far off the mark. Doesn’t bother me what they think. I’ve never had a reason to change.
Until the day I spotted the hot blonde in the stands, pounding her hand on the plexi, loudly cursing me out. I didn’t know anything about her, not even her name, but I did know one thing… she was going to end up in my bed, preferably tied to it.

Kylie—
I like danger. Love the rush I get when I do something I shouldn’t. Mostly to get under my overprotective brother, Rocco’s skin. So when Rocco’s biggest NHL rival and new teammate, Sebastien St. Clair, approached me with a proposition, how could I say no?
My plan was flawed from the beginning, but I couldn’t have ever predicted I’d develop feelings for the man they call The Sinner. It’s not like I could act on them. Rocco would kill us both if he ever found out what we did.
But when an unexpected surprise spins my world off its axis, I have to make the most difficult decision of my life.

Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.

Heather was born and raised in New England and after spending 15 years in Atlanta, GA, currently lives north of Houston, TX with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.

Heather loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.

My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.

Happy reading!

The Sinner was a book that had a lot of potential to be really good for me, but unfortunately I ended up having too many issues with it and couldn't fully appreciate the story being told. The characters were my main reason for not enjoying the story because honestly I didn't like any of them.

I'm a huge fan of a heroine with an overprotective brother so that was one of the big selling points of this book for me. But I didn't like Rocco at all and I thought his way of being overprotective bordered more on the side of being a bully. He was so dependent on Kylie being with him and wasn't letting her live her life, which was frustrating, and then more frustrating was the fact that he would then guilt-trip Kylie into not standing up for herself and telling him to fuck off. And that was also something that annoyed me about her, the fact that she kept letting him run her life. I mean, she moved with him in her last year of college just because he threatened to quit in order to stay with her. It was just odd to me.

Then we have Sebastian, the "bad boy" of hockey. For me he was just an asshole, plain and simple, and with some homicidal tendencies it seemed. I was just confused by him because he didn't seem redeemable at all. And honestly he wasn't. I can say that the middle of the book showed a change in his character and I liked him more in those parts, but as an overall character he was still this crazy violent person that I couldn't connect with. He had these outbursts of anger, broke things, went after other hockey players for hitting his brother - who was also a hockey player - during games. It was all too much for me.

There were also parts to the story that I didn't really understand the point of being in there since they weren't explained very well. Like a failed attempt at a one night stand with Kylie and some other person. Who that person was and what happened during that, I have no clue since it wasn't shown. Only the aftermath of her coming home late and having a bunch of inner dialogue about what had almost happened that left me feeling like I was missing something.

Overall, this was clearly not the book for me. Having characters that I couldn't connect with or understand ended up being the downfall of my enjoyment. But there was some things about Seb's brother, Remy, that got my attention so I may give his book a try when it's out and maybe that will work better for me.

WOW!!! Sebastian St. Clair is a very complicated character and I found myself obsessed with him and the way he grew throughout the story. He had a horrible upbringing and didn't think he deserved love. He definitely deserved his nickname, Sinner. Anger issues, lack of social graces, and an inability to be pleasant make for a horrible unsociable hockey player, but he can really play hockey. Relationships--not so much.

Kylie Calloway is the younger sister of Seb's enemy on and off the ice, Rocco Calloway. He took guardianship of Kylie when he was a rookie at age 19 and she was just 13. His biggest fear is loosing her. Kylie knows that Seb is taboo. Kylie knows she should stay away, but she can't. As long as no-one knows who she is related to no big deal. Right? Kylie was easy to hate in the beginning. Seb deserved better than her secrets. Rocco deserved honest for everything he had done over the past eight years.

Nothing is that simple. Someone is bound to get hurt. Maybe more than one person will be left crushed. If Seb discovers love what will happen to him? What happens if Kylie just walks away? What will happen if Rocco discovers Kylie's secrets? This relationship is just waiting to explode. And then what happens?

I loved chapter 15. I reread the chapter three times. It was so beautiful. Butterflies fluttered. I was left giddy and looking forward to reading book 2, The Saint, when it releases. I can't wait to see if Remy is as screwed up as his big brother.

Oh my… steamy, hot, sexy, alpha male story. Seb, The Sinner, is everything a NHL hockey player should be. He is fierce and ferocious with a history that would make more people run in the opposite direction. Kylie is the younger sister of Sebs rival. She is not scared of a hockey player and wants to take on Seb. I just had the feeling when they got together life would never be the same for either of them.

I loved how Kylie went into meeting Seb with open eyes. She had no fears of meeting him, she has no fears of being with him, and she isn’t afraid of what he stands for. Kylie is looking to walk on the wild side and push boundaries, which makes her perfect for Seb. She stands up for herself but knows when to back down also, especially where her brother, Rocco, is involved.
There is no doubt that I am a Heather C. Leigh fan. The St. Clair Brothers is a series that I am excited about. I want to know about Remy, Seb’s younger brother. I’d love to know more about their history, their upbringing, and their family. I also think Rocco needs to have his story told and maybe a love interest of his own.

Pick up a copy of The Sinner right now. You will not be able to put it down.

I thought this was a great story! Sebastian was a hockey player who liked things rough on and off the ice. No strings attached is how he liked his relationships. Except family, he will do anything to protect those he loves. Kylie is the sister to Rocco, the one guy Sebastian despises above all others. What happens when Rocco and Sebastian end up on the same team and Kylie and Sebastian fall for each other? You have a story filled with lots of steamy chemistry, strong willed men and a story I enjoyed from beginning to end.

I'm not going to lie I had a hard time liking Seb in the beginning. I was a big fan of his attitude, but I hung in there with him because he does win me over. I liked him when Kylie entered his life. Things sure get interesting because Seb is Kylie's brother's rival on the ice. It's a journey with Seb in this book because the man at the end of the book grows a lot through the book.

Hockey and romance

The Stanley Cup finals interwoven in a romance leaves me with goosebumps and giddiness! Terrifically fleshed out characters that will make you smile, chuckle, and steal your heart and a fight for the Cup just makes it better.

This was more than what I was expecting when I read the blurb. This was a hot, intense story. Seb and Kylie were perfect for each other and the chemistry between the two was just straight up HOT. Enjoyable book with just enough angst and hotness to keep me satisfied.
