Anything that means he might have to swim and Jack is the first to duck out of it. But when he falls into a small stream at Camp, he's not just embarrassed—he's been transported to a raging river where dangers lurk around every bend. Luckily, the inspirational adventurer Bear Grylls is there to guide him through the treacherous waters and give him back some of his lost confidence.
This book is the fifth book from the series of Bear Grylls adventures. The book is called the river challenge. I would give this magnificent and riveting book five shiny golden stars. What I like about Bear Grylls adventures is that every child has a big fear about something and Bear helps them face their fears. A boy called Jack is scared of water however he has won his five metre badge. When he goes in to the brand new, deep, big pool, he is all most drowned! But when he meets Bear, an adventurous person, he faces his fear of water and learns that there’s nothing to be scared of.
I don't like the water either! I enjoy this series of kids books because they help kids face and triumph over very common fears. This one is in China & they got to see a panda ❤️. I learned a lot about how to survive going down a river 🙌🏻
Another excellent adventure with Bear! In this one we get to meet a Panda!
We LOVE the Bear Grylls books! A lot like Magic Tree House they are fun fiction combined with nonfiction information. In the Bear Grylls adventures the children have not only a personal challenge to overcome but also an environmental one, learning survival skills along the way!
A middle grade series of books about kids learning to work through their personal fears using outdoor solutions. My kiddos got me addicted to these books last month and I wish there were more! Lots of great info in each book not just about basic survival, but about being in the world.
