Yes, I am the author of this book that will soon turn two, and has been read by many but reviewed by none. What follows is an explanation of the review process for my self-published series, including "Timekeeper's Solution".

When I got an excellent review from Kirkus for my first book in the Weaverworld Trilogy ("Grimsnipe's Revenge"), I was overwhelmed. With the tiny budget I had, I hired a small company to hire readers to write reviews, most of which were 5-star. I hated to do this, yet it is the game we are required to play as self-published authors. Eventually other readers weighed in, most with 3-, 4-, and 5-star reviews.

The second book got a slightly less glowing review from Kirkus ("Quest for the Eagle-eye Amulet" is an ambitious, wide-ranging book), but was still looked on favorably. So I hired the review writers again, and promising once again to be impartial, they still gave the book mostly 5-star reviews. Soon, others added their praise, but sales remained slow.

When "Timekeeper's Solution" was in production, I decided to go back and correct the typos and minor errors in the previous two books. At the same time, I made the decision to conclude the series (at least for the time being), so I declared "Timekeeper's" the final book in a trilogy and re-titled the first two books to reflect the order in which they were written. This may have caused some confusion, as the cover artwork on both previous books was changed. But the result is a beautiful-looking set of books.

Now, as to my review of "The Tinekeeper's Solution"... I will admit that I find it hard to read my books without trepidation because I fear stumbling across a missed typo or error (which, incidentally, I find regularly in international bestsellers). However, I am extremely proud of this third book. The Kirkus reviewer took exception to my choice of ending, essentially spoiling it for any future reader, so I declined to publish that review. But everyone who has read the book so far has commented that they found the ending exhilarating, unexpected, and emotionally satisfying.

I love my characters, and two years on, I find myself missing them. In the intervening years, I have made a major move, relocating from Quebec to British Columbia, Canada. We have only just begun settling in to our new home, and already I'm thinking about my books and how the characters in them are just waiting to be discovered. I have no publicity budget to speak of, but hope to generate interest by engaging in promotional activities in my new province.

If you read and enjoyed the first two books, I hope you will read "Timekeeper's". If you enjoy it, please help it along with a review.

Thank you.
