It is so hard to really explain just how great this series is as it is very different from other authors. This is my second time getting hooked into one of the author's series and I have recommended them to many friends. The action and the romance will keep you reading long into the night.

Rosie is another character that it is so easy to love. She is a person who really cares about others and has not had an easy time of it for many reasons. Discovering she has this connection to a whole other world has brought her more pain but also new people that she has grown to love very much.

Bastien and Kerdik are two of those she has let into her heart. They are very different and both have caused her great pain. She has some tough choices in the future and I can't wait to see what is next.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

I'm so sad I have to wait for the rest of the series to release, because this left me on a cliffhanger.

I also really want to know what other changes are in store for Rosie after Kerdick's gift (I can't explain it better, because spoilers). I was dead set on Bastien and Rosie, but Kerdick is really growing on me. I wish I could explain this more, but so far into the series I'll give it all away.

I feel like I can tell how this story will end, but there's something interesting that happens in this book which leaves just enough doubt about whether I'm right.

Can't wait to get the rest of the series!

Faîte Falling is an 11-Part Urban Fantasy Series based in French Folklore.

I usually begin my reviews of this series with a quote to whet the Beautiful Bookworm’s appetite – However I find that I could not focus on just one quote for this book!

So, I will elaborate a bit on the courage and tenacity that Rosie showed with her brain and spirit while she was being punished by her mother. The way author Mary E. Twomey, crafted this part of the book was authentic, heartbreaking, beautiful, haunting, and really gave the reader a keen insight on how Rosie’s learning disability had such a negative impact on her formative years. Yet, Rosie utilizes the coping mechanisms she developed to be able to hold on to her sanity while enduring this physical and psychological punishment.

I Tip My Hat to Ms. Twomey!

Book five was also bleaker and creepier in timbre, with more physiological and physical brutality – which was applicable to the narrative. Nevertheless, there were continued episodes painted with amusing dialogue among the tremendously well-rounded characters to relieve the strain.

Evermore, I will not divulge ANY spoilers, Dear Reader as I wish for you to relish the Continuing Journey of a new heroine: Ms. Rosie Avalon.

I gave this book five (5) stars as I Unequivocally Cherished this Fantastical French Fable and I passionately counsel you, Dearest Reader to buy this new series.

Broken girl by Mary E Twomey continues Rosie’s epic journey through Avalon and the new life she has discovered. She may be technically an adult, but when it comes to this world she feels very much like a child, needing her hand held and someone to guide her through things so she doesn’t make a serious misstep.
Rosie’s father has awakened, and is every bit the king he once was. Rosie is patient with him and the way he treats her, after wanting a family for so long. I do keep wondering at what point Rosie will snap and show that she is done being ordered around. He may be king, and her father, but she doesn’t fully consider herself a part of this world yet, continuing to want to return home.
Rosie and Kerdik grow closer, and I am happy for their growing friendship. They need each other. I do grow frustrated that Kerdik often takes his time answering Rosie. You would think that the fact that she only seems to call during life and death situations, he might hurry to her a bit faster. I am glad that the author doesn’t abuse his powers having him save everything every time she calls. There are likely times Rosie calls him for the fun things she promised, times that we just don’t read about.
Fans of fantasy, wild adventure and magic should definitely try this series. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Each episode in this adventure/saga just gets better and better. I don't even know where to start to entice you to read this series! Although this is book 5, you do want to do two things: 1. start from the beginning, because it's so important to get the background and 2. continue until you finish this story! You won't be sorry! This is yet the best book in this emotional rollercoaster of a drama that keeps you mesmerized as you work your way through the story and learn the characters. Mary E. Twomey does the best job in drawing you in and making you believe you are actually there, cheering for the underdog, yelling out loud, grabbing your tissues and just plain immersing yourself into this superbly written series. Rosie, the "star of the show" takes you for the emotional ride of your life, and every aspect of her lift and story leaves you breathlessly waiting for the next in the books to arrive. They are relatively quick reads, so it will be easy for you to catch up, I can absolutely tell you, if you don't read this series you will totally be missing out! Each book is a mini cliffhanger, but always leaves you anxiously anticipating the next in the series.

Five books into this 11 book series. Five books better than the first. Casting a spell, sucking you in, breaking your heart, mending your soul then shattering your optimism once again leaving you reeling, praying, hoping that this roller coaster of a series will have a happy ending.
After all the hurt that Bastien has caused, I can't help but to still be in his corner, even if only a little. So when he returns to Rosie with promises in his eyes and good will on his lips I couldn't help but wish it would be true. But of course; Me "Silly reader" Rosie has a long way to go. A lot to learn and a mother who is still out for blood. And blood she shall get. Coming closer than ever before to taking Rosie's life than she's ever gotten before. Even with her trusty Guardien by her side. Which leaves things up to Kerdik. And his love for Rosie has made even his best intentions twisted. This act of 'good will' is most certainly his most drastic one yet. With consequences even he couldn't begin to understand.

I'm doing a happy dance because of how much I loved Broken Girl! Wow! Don't get me wrong, it is still a torrential emotional roller coaster that will have you laughing and crying within a second of each other, but wow do I love it! These characters are so intricate and interesting, Mary E. Twomey just has a way with her characters that is beyond anything I have ever read. And everything in this book was just... I hate spoilers, so I won't say anything specific, but read this series now! On to book 6!

Deeper into the well

This is my favorite series from Mary Twomey and this book adds to the excitement.
If you haven’t read the first books you won’t know what’s going on but in true Rosie fashion she shows courage, candor and beauty that comes from the soul in an ugly world of Avalon.
As much as I missed Judah, I’m not sure I’m ready to see him!
Morgan Is cruel and with everyone rosie loves in danger, will the changes to her help or hinder her in rescuing her family?

I wish this series didn’t follow the usual formula of Mary Twomey’s other series. Bastien doesn’t deserve Rosie and for the love of god she needs to stop getting injured all the time.

I wish Rosie would end up with Kerdik. I loved all the Rosie and Kerdik scenes. My stars are all for Master Kerdik.

Link is my favourite side character. His banter is the best.

Seeing Mad take care of Anabelle was so precious!

I feel like Link is the only sensible romance option here.
But for now, I can see a redemption arc for Bastien, while Kermit gives me the creeps.
He's the typical nice guy trying to get into a girls pants by being her friend.

Also, I miss character growth. Rosie continues being naive and a bit stupid. It's like she's 12 instead of 22 or something.

I think I’ve read too many ‘why choose’ books because I’m still holding hope Rosie will make an Untouchable sandwich with Bastien, Madigan & Link….
Also, the slow burn is driving me nuts! 5 books in and she still hasn’t had her 🍒 popped! Just let me out of my misery already! The sexual tension is too much 😩

Normally i would give this series a 4. This one however didnt meet the other standards. The protagonist was portrayed differently and that made it sour for me. Hopefully next book in series picks up.

Why would she take him back?
I hate how she's just so willing to forget and take him back.

Arg! Holding my breath! So many questions!! What exactly Is K's curse? Details!! Could they get together in the other place without her changing? Or now that she has His infusion? Or something specific happens? Or does love change any of it? I just wanted to scream it when they were "in heaven."
And if she can hit him, why nothing else? I was expecting her to rattle the house when she got so angry! Blood tears have to be more than visuals. Magic?? What power did she receive? Nothing?! Arg! She should be more than just shiny now!! So many questions in this book!! Pulling out my hair!
Also, is she not just completely exhausted from being attacked yet?! I Am!!
Also, why exactly is queenie cracked? What broke her to be so evil, even to her own blood?
ALSO? (Yeah, I can't stop with the questions in this one!) After all this reconstruction, she's still got the dyslexia!? W.T.F.?!
Of course you know I'm immediately on to the next one!! These books destroy me like an addict!
