The world of the shifters was fading, until an alpha and omega fell in love and everything changed.

Seth is having the worst week of his life. His father has been attacked and Lucas, his younger brother, is missing. His uncle thinks they should give Lucas up for dead but Seth isn’t prepared to do that, leaving to track Lucas down with the help of his cousin, Hunter. Only his brother has been taken by Zane, the crazy alpha who tried to steal Hunter’s mate. They track Zane as far as an abandoned lighthouse where they hope to find Lucas. Instead, they find an omega. Zane’s omega, locked up like Rapunzel in a tower.

Dara is trapped, stuck in a lighthouse with no way out. But escape would be meaningless without his brother, held hostage by Zane. Dara would do anything to keep Max safe, which is how he’s wound up pregnant and hidden away. When two alphas break into his tower and plan to steal him away, he’s determined to keep quiet about what he knows and not break Zane’s rules. But the connection he feels to Seth is more than skin deep and suddenly being stolen doesn’t seem like such a terrible prospect. Not if it means they can save both their brothers. Not if it means a chance for him to find love.

Stolen is a novel-length read. Beware happy endings, some angst, mpreg, littermates, paint throwing, and scenes not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen.

Claire Cullen is an author and aspiring baker. Since she was a toddler, she has loved making up stories. Getting them down on paper proved a challenge in the early years when her preferred medium was finger puppets. This is turning out to be a nice mpreg series. It’s not super amazing, but a nice way to spend a few hours.

Dara (real name Darius), is Cade’s omega brother and was captured months ago together with their alpha brother Max. Dara has been held captive by Zane, a dormant pack alpha. Dormant, because he can’t shift. He is trying to get Dara to bond with him so Zane does get the ability to shift, but Dara can’t make himself love him.

Seth is Hunter’s cousin and son of the alpha of their pack. He is trying to find his younger brother Lucas, who was kidnapped by Zane. But instead he finds Dara. Heavily pregnant Dara. Seth rescues Dara and takes him to River Den, where Dara’s family is. But while they are driving, Dara goes into labor and Seth has no choice but to play midwife in the back of the car.

After Dara is rescued he is grateful he is with his family again, but he has a really hard time accepting that he has a son, who is also the son of Zane. Zane had blackmailed Dara into having sex with him by threatening to kill his brother Max. But Zane never wanted the baby once he found out Dara was pregnant.

Now Dara has to find a way to accept his new son, and to juggle his overwhelming feelings for Seth….

This book felt lighter than the first book. I think that was all because of Seth. Seth was funny and even though he was an alpha, he was also young and quite carefree. There were some really laugh out loud moments with these two.

I do have to admit that even though I like this series, I am still missing that extra special thing that makes some books so amazing. I think I might take a break with this series and get back to the other two books at a later time.

I liked this one, but not as much as the first one. Seth and Dara didn't have as much chemistry as Hunter and Cade had in the pervious book; I never felt much in their scenes, and Seth and Dara take a much quicker and even less believable leap to "love" than Hunter and Cade did. At least with them we had some build up.

With Seth and Dara..not so much. It all just became really rushed, and the sex was even least steamy in this than the first one. It was pretty much written in a way that...it didn't really need to be in the book because it seemed like there wasn't much interest or effort going into writing the sex scenes.

This started out really interesting too but then the big action packed event happens way before the end and the last 40% or so is shoving in Dara's pregnancy with his and Seth's children (and it almost felt, at times, like a retelling of when Cade was pregnant in the last book. Like...these are mpreg so there had to be mpreg in this too even though it felt like it didn't quite fit? idk how to describe it).

I did like moments here and there with these two, and I did enjoy both of these characters individually (Seth was really great) but it just didn't quite live up to the first in this series. Good, but not great, in my opinion.

Stolen
By Claire Cullen

This book was a tad disappointing in the romance portion of it.... as in there wasn’t much of it. Seth and Dara have very little chemistry until close to the end and you wonder why they're even together for most of book. There's no affection or romance up until towards the end. So while they're supposed to be together you're just wondering why when you can't even feel the need to root for them as a couple.

As for the four stars I gave it anyway? That was because of the great storyline in the background with Zane, the fight in the arena, etc. However I was extremely disappointed in the fact that after Actually in light of just that reason I'm taking 2 stars away. (Which, BTW, coming up for a use for lands LONG after the fight wasn't enough to care for leaving the stolen and kidnapped omegas and shifters behind. Especially the children.

This is a great series from Claire Cullen, I'm really enjoying it! I like that it's a bit different for shifters - they have multiple forms they can shift into, they have litters instead of the usual 1 kid, and most shifters can't even shift - it's the omegas that help bring about that change.

I loved Seth. He's a joker, wise-cracking alpha, who would rather make a joke that deal with anything seriously. Hey, it's his way of coping! He meets Dara when he's trying to rescue his younger brother, and their connection is instant and powerful.

I do think that the ILY's came a bit quick (OK, kinda too quick for me) so there is definitely some insta-love in this one, moreso than the first book for sure. But he and Dara were so sweet and wonderful together, I still really enjoyed reading about them.

I look forward to more from this author and this series!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This installment picks up where the last one left off with non-shifting Seth finding the Red-Fang Alpha's pregnant Omega. As with book 1, mating an Omega gives the wolf (and the rest of his pack, eventually) the ability to shift again.

At first I worried that Dara was maybe jumping into the relationship; these aren't mate-on-site shifters, so his agreeing to mate Seth felt a little like he was making the best of a bad situation & doing what he had to do to save his brother (just as having sex with Zane was). Thankfully, the author addressed that later, and laying to rest the question of such a quickly escalated romance.

Jensen and Liam are up next, so I'll definitely be putting Book 3 on the TBR.

Still good...

***3.5 stars***

While I’m okay with having some unanswered questions in the end, this book seemed to have too many unresolved issues to assume they will be answered in the next book. Especially when the certain ones pertain to the two MCs. In addition, some of the time/detail that was in the first book wasn’t as strong in this story, which was a bummer for me.

A solid 3.5 book.

While I liked this book, book 1 was better. Seth and Dara's story was more cute than anything else. There was some other interesting things going on with the plot that made the book better. I am not a big fan of insta love, but it didn't bother me that much in this story.

I am fascinated with the world the author built here. It has completely drawn me in. I was glad to see Hunter and Cade and their children again.

I honestly hate when life gets in the way of my reading. I read the first book in this series and enjoyed it so much my plan was to jump straight into the second installment. That was two months ago. Sigh. The worldbuilding that Claire Cullen has created is different and very interesting with a shifter society that has lost many of its abilities and, in fact, much of the lore being relegated to fantasy in books. It’s only omegas who can affect their mate’s abilities and make them stronger shifters, which is where Cade and his brother, Dara, come into the picture.

Cade and Hunter mated in the first book and now it’s Cade’s brother, Dara, and Hunter’s best friend, Seth’s, turn to find love and a powerful mating. Unfortunately Zane, who terrorized Cade in the previous story, is back and wants the powers an omega’s love can restore. But Dara doesn’t love Zane and even though he has kept him locked in a tower and gotten him pregnant, Dara will never be able to give Zane what he wants. It’s luck that brings Seth and Hunter to the tower searching for Seth’s little brother, Lucas, whom Zane abducted, but instead they find a pregnant Dara who ends up going into labor and they rush him back to River Den for help.

Alpha Seth accompanies his cousin Hunter on a mission to rescue Hunter’s little brother Lucas from another wolf pack. During their mission, they discover Dara, a pregnant Omega locked in a lighthouse.

Dara and Seth become close and eventually mate allowing Seth to finally shift.

While there is a little drama, it resolves itself fairly easily and quickly.

This book was Lovely and so very Sweet!

I loved the MCs relationship... They were so sweet, loving, protective and supportive of each other.

Seth was really funny and lovable... It's impossible not to love him 😍❤️.

Dara too; he's a Sweetheart and a Brave one. He goes through a hard time in the beginning of the book, but he works to overcome it.

I loved the sense of family here... And the babies too, of COURSE. 😖

I'm enjoying this books so much, so I'm going to continue with the series.

I'm off to read book #3 - Hunted - which is Dr. Jensen's story.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Wow, another great book. I enjoyed this book more so than the first but it features insta-love well a lot more than the first book but when you got through what Dara had been through after being held hostage by Zane the Red Fang alpha and trying to be coerced into mating by trying to save his brother Max, instead Dara got pregnant with Zane’s baby and couldn’t mate because omegas can’t mate if there’s fear. Zane was furious thinking Dara tricked him and he didn’t acknowledge Skye. Seth’s father has been attacked by the Red Fang’s and his 6 year old little brother Luke is missing. Seth is planning to go off and try and rescue Luke but Hunter goes with him back to the Cove to speak to his dad and his dad and his uncle Shane try and stop him but his mum tells him that it’s okay and to bring Luke home. Hunter comes up with a plan to play good and bad cop with the first Red Fang wolf they find, and fate is on there side as there happens to be one broken down on the side of the road and they get out of him that he doesn’t know where Zane is but he’s heard that there’s a secluded lighthouse on the land that Red Fang acquisitioned and someone could be hidden there. They go there to try and see if Luke is being held there but they find Dara instead who just wants the strange alphas to leave since he’s trying to protect Max so he can’t leave as Zane will come back and when he starts having a panic attack they start to take him outside to get air, but Dara says he’s sorry and starts to run but trips down the stairs and dislocates his shoulder.

Dara’s in pain so they decide to take him to the Den so they can get help but then because of the stress Dara starts to go into labour. Seth showed him kindness and helped calm him down when he was panicking so he was in a lot of pain while in labour which shouldn’t be the case for shifter so with the help from Cade, Dr Jensen and Joe the midwife over the phone Seth helped deliver Skye, Dara’s son while in a spending car heading towards so that would bond you pretty quick. I didn’t have an issue with the quickness of them falling in love like I usually do but since there was a reason for it, they just clicked. I loved how much humour Seth brought to tense situations like when Dara was in labour or when they went and rescued both Luke and Max. I loved what they have planned with the wolf packs and the dens, so the shifters can get back to what they were originally. Dara is a bit uncertain about what he wants to do but mainly because of his PTSD with everything he went through with Zane and then what his brother Max went through as well. Seth is great in talking things through and coming up with alternative options which makes him a great pack alpha. I really don’t like Axel’s dad Shane, and I’m hoping Axel and Joe find their happily ever after. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Hmm, I both enjoyed this and felt disappointed by it at the same time.
You know when you watch a movie - like a mindless action flick, a romcom or one of those crime series - while you're partly doing something else like eating, playing on your phone or whatever? I love that because it's effortless entertainment, but honestly it basically means that you can be distracted and not paying attention half the time without missing any unexpected plot elements. Reading this felt kind of like that.
I loved the action and drama and rescue mission. That part was all fun and games!
But the emotional parts really fell flat - I'm not buying into this "romance" at all. With everything Dara had been through to readily bond for life with a stranger he has known for three days - including a new home and pack and a basically guaranteed second pregnancy with a whole litter of cubs after just having given birth to an unwanted child - yeah no. Just no.
And the world building, which I had high hopes for, seems to be getting more vague instead of elaborated. And even then it still manages to seem inconsistent. Like how much can this bonding thing be influenced now? There has to be a connection, okay, but otherwise it can be decided on a whim - but you can't force it? I don't get it. And the supposedly inevitable biological response of a heat can now be suppressed until a convenient moment? Doesn't feel right to me either.
So yeah. It was a fun read mostly, but it had some major flaws for my liking.

This book shows how mpreg should be written. Claire Cullen is one of my favorite shifter authors, for this reason. The mpreg is not just a tiny portion of the book, it is the reason for the book. We get pregnancy, labor, delivery. And then, we get the FAMILY. I really hate how many mpreg books end once the baby is born. Not this author. She perfectly balances the characters in the book, and she writes in such a way that I will come back and reread, time after time. This is a series that should be read in order, because of the pack structure and the awesome characters each contains. The characters don't disappear once their book is done, they are pack and constantly in contact with each other. That aspect - the community feeling really draws me to a new series. Seth and Dara are very well written; I was in love with Dara with the first can of paint he threw. Compassionate and brave, this omega is strong. And Seth. How he shines as an alpha. Caring, considerate and young, he is finding his way as an emerging pack alpha.
Set in a world where packs are losing their abilities to shift, Dara knows the secret. The rest of the packs are learning too, thanks to Cade and Hunter showing them the way.
The River Den series is looking to be my favorite series by this author, and I highly suggest it be on your reading list too.

THIS IS FASCINATING

Seth is a non shifting Alpha who is very young, still pretty carefree and devoted to helping his cousin. When his Alpha Father is attacked and his young brother Lucas kidnapped, he blames himself for not being home. Dara a shifter Omega and his brother Max a shifter Alpha have been being held captive for months. Seth and his cousin Hunter while on the trail of the kidnapped Lucas, stumble upon the captured Dara. THIS is where the story begins its many twists, turns and revelations. This is a sometimes sad but always loving and caring in its approach story. All the characters are fantastic. There is humor, emotional understanding and no problem is too small. And don't get me started on them babies, I could read a story of them doing nothing but shifting!! This is the second book in the River Den Omegas. It is just as FASCINATING and amazing as the first book. I believe this is going to be another Claire Cullen classic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS INCREDIBLE SERIES!!!!!

Seth’s brother, Lucas, has been kidnapped by Zane, a crazy wolf shifter obsessed with restoring his ability to shift by forcing an omega bond. I honestly can’t remember why Zane kidnapped Lucas, but the end result is that Seth storms Zane’s territory and stumbles upon Dara...a pregnant omega locked in a tower.

Here is why you need to read the series in order. Seth’s older brother, Hunter, mated Cade...who has been searching for his lost brothers, Max and Dara since they went missing while on a search for a new den—in the previous book.

Of course Seth and Dara bond despite the fact that Dara is pregnant with evil Zane’s baby. There’s lots of drama and angst as they decide how to accomplish the original mission to rescue Lucas while falling in lurve.

Heart breaking

Dariaus, Dara, an omega captured along with his brother Max. Dara did what he needed to do to make sure his brother was kept safe, even if that meant letting the crazy alpha Zane force him into sex that ended with him being pregnant. Seth alpha comes home to find his father attacked and his brother taken. Seth comes across Dara and both set out to rescue their brothers with the help of family.
I wasn’t able to stop reading . Cried and felt the emotions Dara felt. Can’t wait to continue the stories.

Sometimes it’s about the story...

...and not so much the pure heat.
This is one of those times: a strong plot line about survival, enduring & sustaining faith, family, and fate.
And yes, it IS also about a slow-burn steamy relationship, too, between a (new) Alpha and the omega he rescues, and who rescues him.
Last but not least, it’s about the renewal of a community and the hope that brings to a greater world. As to whether that hope is justified? Well, that’s for “River Den Omegas Book 3”, I think. (And hope!)

It seemed unnecessarily long. Didn't like it as much as much as Chosen.

MPREG, even with shifters is not my favorite genre. It tends to aggravate my complaint about M/M stories that they very often make one of the characters sound like a woman. One of the men almost never seems to respond as though they are a man, pregnant or not. I ground my teeth every time Darius was called beautiful by his mate.

Some angst but a lot of humor

Another book to enjoy. I really liked Seth and Dara. Seth has this wicked sense of humor and it made him fun to read. Though there are moments of angst, they are short lived and don’t drag on the entire book because GASP the characters actually talk to each other to clear up misunderstandings. It’s so refreshing to read. There can be moments of daily drama that don’t go on forever to still make a compelling read.

Now, on to the next book!

Rescuing the Omega

When the Red Fang pack mortally wounds his father and kidnaps his young brother, Seth goes searching for him. He ends up rescuing Cade's brother Dara. Gradually, they realize that they are mates and struggle to figure out how to manage their relationship. In the end, they reach their HEA, after much drama. This book ties up some of the loose ends from book 1 and is hard to put down. Book 3 is next on my TBR.

This is the second in the series and probably the last one i am going to read. The story focuses on the pack and although there was some good parts to the story, it was highly predictable. I was hoping to find out more about Omega's but it just didn't answer it. i had started it and invested time in the story so decided to finish.

Great Read

The storyline is captivating and very entertaining. The love between Seth and Dara was really a binding of soul mates. Something wolves and other shifters seemed to have forgotten. They had started mating their young for ties to other clans losing there shifter abilities.

It has "STOLEN" my Heart.

Book Two of the River Den Omega series was just as entertaining as the first, with the same great detail to the characters and the storyline. A wonderful introduction to the new couple, as well as building on characters from the previous book.

Great read.

Part of a series and better when read in order but can be read as a standalone. I like the writing and characters but the story wasn't quite as good as the first one. However, I did enjoy it and will read more in this series.

Charming as the first book and continuously loving the River Den family. I loved Seth, his warm charm and love for the family, and Dara who was strong and didn't give up his will to save his brother. I want more of this books, I want the rest of the family finding their other half.

Solid book. Lots of fun. Happy I read it.
The Plot was nice but I prefered the one from Book 1. The Couple though - I liked even better than the Book 1 couple. I LOVED THEM. (duh... they are just typical characters I like)^^

Seth is awesome

Seth is one of those rare characters who constantly jokes and is genuinely funny. He's generous and kind and it's easy to want everything for him. I've been making my way through Cullen's back catalogue and this is one of my favorites of those.

A series to remind you no matter how bleak, the future can change!

Seth to be torn apart and fighting his own family...then rescue mission but never losing his humor. Data a survivor that sacrificed all for family. To see you can have fairy tale if you follow you heart! MM romance
