Blackmail, lies and unprotected sex. What could possibly go wrong in a relationship built on those things?
Hannah Williams has a system. She doesn't sleep with a guy who rates over ten on a little scale her friend invented for her in high school. It sounds stupid, especially since she's still following the system ten years after she graduated. It's led her to live a rather boring but safe life.
That all goes out the window when she shows up at her ten-year high school reunion and Curtis Power starts whispering in her ear. The man was a hunk in high school and years playing professional hockey hasn't changed that. If anything, it's made him even more desirable.
Hannah never imagined she'd have a chance with someone like him. The scale doesn't even go high enough to rate Curtis, but that doesn't stop Hannah from letting him show her everything she's been missing in life.
When secrets start pouring out, Hannah's world is rocked. Will Curtis' love be enough to put things back together? Or is she destined to live a meaningless life with strict rules to keep the dangers lurking in the world at bay?
Reader beware: There's sex and cussing on the pages ahead. Only mature readers should proceed.
I have always had a passion for the written word. Along with that, I've always had ideas for stories swimming around in my head. It finally got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore and had to start getting my thoughts down on paper. There are still too many ideas, but I am working to get them out as fast as I can. My hope is that one day my brain will be mine again.
Other hobbies of mine include: drawing, baking, arts and crafts, motorcycles, hockey and archery. I like to think I have eclectic tastes where my hobbies are concerned. I love to laugh and try to make myself smile at least once a day. With the crazy thoughts going on in my head that usually isn't hard.
I was a bit disappointed with this book considering that i super love the author... I just found it so unrealistic - 3 months into the relationship and they get married? seriously? I get that the H Curtis Power always had a crush on the h Hannah Williams but to fall in love with her so soon after 10 years? uhmmm no.. I'm all for insta-love and all that but not that fast..
Seems like a step back for this author, who I enjoy. Good story line and characters with potential clearly sketched out. And then they trudge to rhe end. The intriguing vignettes and crisp dialogue that would bring them alive was just missing. Readable, but not exciting.
