MORE MAGIC AND MAYHEM WITH A DASH OF MYSTERY AND ROMANCE! It took losing everything for Truly Mason to discover she was so much more than she'd ever imagined. But being a witch has its own pitfalls, including becoming the prime target for every ambitious supernatural being in the country. When nefarious forces combine to try to strip her of her newfound powers, Truly must balance her own safety with that of her friends and the half-shifter she cares for as she tries to solve the murder of a beautiful demon. But just like Baal—her demon guardian trapped in the form of a cat—Truly knows how to use a little DIY magic to land on her feet. Don’t miss the thrilling and romantic sequel to THE BAD LUCK WITCH. Writing as Heather Hamilton-Senter, Heather Hamilton is also the author of the bestselling Young Adult fantasy BOUND IN Book One of the Sword of Elements and its sequels.

Magical Mayhem

Truly has her work cut out for her. Not only with inheriting the title of Lady, but juggling all the magical mayhem coming her way. Trust is definitely tested this time around. As life always leads to it," We win some and we lose some!" Truly has been dealing with this her whole life, even on a mundane level. Bad luck is rearing it's ugly head again and just when she thought she was settling in, she is going to be thrown right into the fray again. Mundane, Sirens, Wind Witches, Merman, Wolf Shifters, and on and on.

It's hard keeping all the supernaturals listed, but I love all things supernatural and magical so this is a perfect read. I'm definitely waiting on the next book in this series. I did find a few editing issues, which is why I took a star away. But I am Truly, TEAM TRULY ALL THE WAY!

Author Heather Hamilton, I am in love with this series!

This is a pretty good sequel to The Bad Luck Witch. The universe has been expanded to include elves (which are not Tolkienesque elves, but are not fae either) and hedge witches, who perform magic using spells (as opposed to the witches, warlocks, sorcerers etc who are humans with innate magic). I knocked a star off the rating because the protagonist, having been incapacitated by a mysterious package, voluntarily picks up another mysterious item which she knew was from the same person who sent her the package.

A note: the first chapter of this book is not included in this book, and is actually the last chapter of the last book. Both books tell complete stories, so this is a mild annoyance.

This story is a follow up on Truly Mason as a bad luck witch which doesn’t skip a beat from the book one. You are able to have some of your questions answered but end with even more questions by the time you get to the end. I love the introduction of additional new characters to the story. The story was well constructed so it moved along at a good clip. Truly is certainly growing in many ways both with and without her powers, she is very good at “winging it” as some would say. Cannot wait for the next book.

DIY

I loved Truly and her circle of crazy in book 1. This carried over in book 2. There was lots of magic, lost magic, and mayhem involved here and I hope book 3 gives us some happy fixes. Here's books may seem short when you see the page number but they are jammed packed with lots of good reading-ness. (I am totally making that a phrase.) I am on team Truly and Aiden, sorry Caleb.

Great series

This is a great series with a great cast of characters. A fantastic storyline that includes our world which is some fairy races edge witches and Mundane humans. Follow the adventures of the lady in the circle as they try and keep a balance between the worlds. Fighting her curse and trying to break it as well as holding everything else together. And intriguing and action-packed series check it out

Entertaining

The fun continues in this book where Truly Mason finds out what being the Lady really entails. It's funny, sad, angry, poignant, and bittersweet, in turns. The story is well-told and well-edited, giving the reader a smooth, easy read, perfect for a lazy summer day. This is a very good representation of the genre. Kudos to Ms. Hsmilton!

When you have lost everything, there is nothing left to loose.

Great read. Her bad luck is running true when both sides of her magic are cut off. Can she do anything to stop a megalomaniac from taking over as Supreme Witch. Dead bodies, betrayal and time running out. Great plot that really has you cheering for her and her inventiveness. Great characters that are all woven into a satisfying read. However you do feel somewhat sorry for her in the romance stakes as she seems to be a lose all round.
