New York Times Bestseller Dianna Love has created a unique shifter series with immortals, mages, witches and ... sexy big bad shifters.

Eight years ago, shifters came out to the public and, since then, the world has never been the same for many.

Tess Janver and Cole Cavanaugh fell deeply in love in college ... then he disappeared without a word. She feared the worst, or thought she had. After seven years, he returns as a beefed up version of his former self. That’s not the only thing different. As someone working in a preternatural criminal investigation unit and the daughter of a senator determined to rid the world of dangerous shifters, Tess is caught between performing her duty to humans, protecting the only family she has left and risking her heart to a man who once destroyed it.

Cole had no choice in becoming a Gallize shifter and now faces a deadline from a fatal mating curse he can’t stop. The only woman he’s ever loved is human and wouldn’t survive bonding with him. He never planned on Tess finding out he was a wolf shifter, but she’s in danger from a rogue pack. He’s not leaving until she’s safe ... and he has a chance to redeem himself in her eyes before his time is up.

Second chance shifter romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜🖤
Heat/Steam: 🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😠🙃😍😘
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Cole - he is a wolf shifter, a Gallize shifter with more power than regular shifters and who works covertly solve crimes committed by or against shifters. It has been 8 years after shifters were outed to the world. He remembers a time when he was human and in love with a human girl. At twenty he discovered he was no longer human and took control of his raging wolf. Though now he has been trained by the military to kill and uses his skills to protect humans, shifters and his Gallize counterparts.

The heroine: Tess - she was a top legal expert who worked with shifters. She had a patient that was hurt badly and listed as a John Doe. She had researched all types of shifters when she got her masters degree after shifters became known to the world. She is now a liaison with SCIS investigators and is looking into the Black River pack, wanting to take them down for multiple crimes, including the murder of her mother. She had changed her career direction after her boyfriend left and then her mother died in just a few months while in college.

The Story: Cole and his two teammates went out after a tip came in on their current case. He hopes to find his missing teammate and mentor, a deadly bear shifter named Sammy who is said to have joined up with the Black River wolf pack. The Black River pack makes and distributes synthetic drugs and the tipster stated that Sammy was involved in the murder of two hikers. It is true that the murdered couple had Sammy’s scent on them, but it didn’t make sense that he would kill them or join the Black River pack.

Cole is in danger of dying soon due to a mating curse that can’t be stopped unless he finds his fated mate. He has only loved one woman, Tess, the girl he left behind in college after he found out what he was. Humans and shifters can’t be mates, but when Tess comes back into his life and is in danger, he can’t help but protect her.

The story had a good premise, though I kind of hate stories where the shifters are known to humans and many of the humans want them to be treated as less than human. In this book the shifters have different rights and laws than humans and there is prejudice against them. It just bothers me I guess and this one had a lot of that. Tess’s father was a senator who led the charge against shifters and he was unyielding about it.

I did like that the Gallize shifters were a bit different than regular shifters and that they were the good guys, a sort of covert shifter police or military force that worked to enforce the laws on shifters. The fact that they had this mating curse when other shifters didn’t and were stronger and more powerful than normal shifters was pretty cool.

This story was told in multiple points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Steven R. Thorne. He is a good narrator, though doesn’t have a deep sexy voice like some of my favorite narrators. Though Steven does a fine job.

Cole found out when he was still a teenager that he was a wolf shifter. Now he works for a secret organization to keep people safe. He ended up leaving the only woman he's ever loved but he had plans to go and tell her the truth before his wolf took over and he had to be put down for good.

Tess has always been a bit strange because of a secret she has. But things really start to go south when Cole leaves her without a backwards glace and shifters come out to the human population that they exist. When her mother is killed by shifters, her whole world changes.

Cole is running out of time because of the mating curse. If he doesn't find his mate and have her accept him, his wolf will take over for good and he'll have to be put down because his wolf is too dangerous to be let loose. But when he gets held by an organization that wants answers from him that he can't give, he finds that Tess works for them. When he escapes with the help of his teammates he finds out that Tess is in danger from some shifters so he now has to go to her and try to keep her safe.

This book had the most ridiculously romantic ending and I loved it. Cole's teammates are great and so is their leader. I'm really looking forward to getting to know more of the secondary characters in the next books because there are some really interesting ones. I loved the world building so that we got a good picture of what was going on in this world and the people in it. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book now.

world building had potential but didn't really come through particularly early on to fill in why this shifter series was different than others, found MC's to be a bit annoying and just couldn't get myself to like/care about what happened to them -- a lot of strife btwn them was lack of communication (which is a plot i hate) & assumptions getting made with little or no support (which also gets annoying). also heroine is suppose to be strong, intelligent woman in a position of authority but felt like she let the main male char around her (hero, father, coworker) walk over her & disregard her opinions and feelings while she just silently seethed over it after wards. hard time getting through the second half, skimmed a lot so as just to finish it.

For her first venture in writing a paranormal book, Dianna Love has created a story overflowing with vividly imagined scenes. The League of Gallize Shifters series is definitely original in many areas, and I was totally intrigued during every compelling incident. From characters with unique capabilities to escapades where the situations are not the norm, I was constantly captivated because the details were always fascinating and held my complete attention. GRAY WOLF MATE is a truly ground-breaking paranormal romance. Ms. Love is a writer who can conceive an innovative idea, and then cleverly bring it to life for readers to enjoy.

When the fact that shifters were living amongst humans was revealed, Cole Cavanaugh was stunned like other mortals. Then his college days and relationship with Tess Janver were suddenly over when he shifted because Gray Wolf made its presence known inside his body. Cole is a Gallize shifter, and he now watches over all beings to make sure rules are followed. His actions can also turn deadly in an instant if an event requires it. Though he sometimes has a difficult time controlling the part of him which is wolf, he is determined to be the one commanding his actions.

While Cole is still capable of carrying out his missions, Gray Wolf is becoming very demanding lately plus the mating curse that affects Gallize shifters is starting to bother him, too. With no potential partner, his time left to live is growing ever shorter. When Tess unexpectedly comes back into Cole’s life, her work investigating shifters puts her at odds with him. But after his enemies also become hers, he will do whatever it takes to ensure she is not harmed.

I was certainly excited when I learned Dianna Love was writing in a new genre, and GRAY WOLF MATE never disappoints as the inventiveness of the story only increases with each new development. The Gallize shifters are so distinctive when it comes to beings that can change shapes, and I would like to think there would actually be such a group watching over humans if one day the supernatural proves to be factual. Numerous individuals with specific abilities related to their species left me in awe at times, especially since many of their gifts are ones which I have never before encountered in a book. Also, many of the different groups mentioned are very unusual, whether they are comprised of humans or preternaturals with unusual origins.

From the very beginning, I was taken with how ethical Cole was regardless of what he attempted. Despite abruptly losing what was most important to him, he accepted his destiny to protect others and rose above all the challenges that came his way. Tess likewise had to overcome plenty of hurdles when she decided to use her degree to make certain all beings are treated fairly, as she has a good reason to not like shifters. She and Cole are compassionate individuals, and it really shows in how they react to one another or even strangers. While they may have been apart for years, it only takes one touch for sentiments thought buried to resurface. When truths come out, I feared their already shaky relationship may not last. Several tense moments caused an adrenaline rush, while the scenes depicting profound feelings deeply touched me. What an emotional journey Ms. Love devised for this couple.

I voluntarily reviewed the book and all comments are my honest opinion

Gray Wolf Mate by Dianna Love

First in the paranormal League of Gallize Shifters romance series.
Shifters have been outed and the world struggles.
Cole left Tess back in their college days when he became a Shifter, the ring still in his pocket.
He is part of a secret group that protects humans. Tess works for a government agency that investigates paranormal crimes.
Cole believes he needs to protect and then leave Tess again, but his wolf calls Tess “Mate”.

An engrossing adventure and compelling read. I stayed up well into the night to finish it.
I really wanted this couple to work things out. I wanted to yell at him to “have faith” but since his concern was for her well-being, I couldn’t judge him too harshly. Maybe she should have shared more of what was going on with her physically. Like the healed arm that no one really talked about!

Lots of depth and back story that has barely been covered or explained yet. Lots of secondary characters I want to know more about. I can see this series going far and look forward to reading more.

Love, heartbreak, danger and suspense, Gray Wolf Mate is book 1 in a fabulous new series by Dianna Love. I found the story compelling with its well developed world and fabulous characters I couldn't put it down until the last page was read.

This is definitely a must read for lovers of a great shifter series!!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Not only is it a new book by Dianna Love, but it is the first book in a brand new series from her. My anticipation had been building for months, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I now have anticipation building for the next book in the series. This world is full of power and violence, but also loyalty and love. I really enjoyed the magic and Love's twist on the shifter lore. It was very interesting, and mysterious, especially with all of the different enemies. Tess and Cole were perfect for each other, but things just never seemed to go right for them. If I am reading a book with a complex story, intense action, and really hot romance, I want it to be by Dianna Love, because she always gets it right.

It had all the elements of a book I should enjoy - shifters, mages, and a cult of evil shifters, with a human h who had special powers. But, so much telling that I started skipping pages by chapter 3! It was tedious at first, then the complexity just became boring. Little steam, sad outcome for some of the secondary characters, a very disappointing read for me.

Started of good but fizzled after a few chapters. Decent world building for a first book. Interesting story but just had too much telling and not enough actual events.

The world knows that shifters exist. That knowledge has resulted in so much discord and fear. Tess Janver is determined to learn as much as she can about them. She needs to know what really happened when her mother died when she was caught between two battling shifters. After all she lost everything, the man she loved disappeared without a word. Her father's hatred damaged their relationship. She needs to find answers. I was surprised that in spite of her personal tragedy she wants to understand shifters. When a rogue shifter is captured by SCIS, she feels a connection. Why? Cole Cavanaugh is a Gallize shifter. He's loved Tess since college. He broke her heart when he vanished. He couldn't let her know his secret. What a tragic turn of events. I knew that these two belonged together. I didn't think they had a chance to find a way to be together. This new series is an emotional roller coaster that left me drained. Tess and Cole are surrounded by evil that can't be stopped. Death is unavoidable. I cared for the characters. I didn't want hatred to triumph. I felt angry and frustrated. I couldn't stop listening to Gray Wolf's Mate. I felt the might of the destructive forces but I hadn't taken into account the power of love. Dianna Love put me through the wringer. The narration by Stephen R. Thorne added more emotion to this story. I can't wait for the next adventure. I want to see the League of Gallize Shifters triumph.
I received a copy of Grey Wolf's mate which I voluntarily listened to. My comments are my honest opinion.

Wow!

Shifters have been outed to the world and many fear and distrust them. Tess Janvers’ father is one of those people but he is a senator and has the power to get legislation passed to the detriment of shifters. He, and others like him, don’t accept that the human half of a shifter is no different to any other person. There are good and bad shifters just as there are good and bad humans. Tess is a lawyer and considered to be an expert on shifters and, as such, she is put in charge of a special force set up to find and secure a criminal group of wolf shifters.
Cole Cavanaugh is a special breed of shifter called a Gallize. He and Tess were a couple when in college but were torn apart when Cole became a shifter. Tess didn’t know what had happened to him, only that he suddenly disappeared. It took her years to get over him and he never stopped loving her.
This is a shifter story with a difference. It is filled with good guys and very bad guys, witches and mages. It highlights human frailty showing our weakness in hating anybody who is different. There is action and suspense galore along with hot romance. A great start to the series.

This is the first time I have read a book written by this author & will admit that I really enjoyed reading this intriguing shifter romance. It has a somewhat different approach to the storyline than the other shifter romances that I have read. Naturally, I am definitely not going to give the plot away but it is definitely worth reading as this is the first book in the series “League of Gallize Shifters” & this series looks very promising. The plot is interesting, well-thought out & written. The characters (a Gallize wolf shifter, Cole) & (a human female, Tess) are unique individuals who struggle with personal issues and acceptance as they continue to develop throughout the storyline.
There is: shifters, humans, curses, rogues, mates, special abilities, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, secrets, adventure, action, political intrigue, devious plans abduction, mystery, evil, danger, threats, conflict, violence, enemies, romance, loyalty, love, some steam, happiness, contentment & a satisfying conclusion.

DNF.

I almost forgot why I switched to MM over MF (minus the fact that MM is just incredibly hot?) because the start of this book was actually really good!

But...

MF is just always too cliche and cheesy. Also I hate in MF how one touch / one lick and the female protagonist orgasms like five times. If only!

Do you have a wolf?

First time reading this author. Loved how strong Tess is. She’s the head of a group that intervenes between humans and shifters. She is hunting a group of wolves that are killing humans. She meets Cole and Gray Wolf. Cole recognizes her has the girl he loved and had to leave in college. An Tess save Cole and in turn capture the black wolves?

This is the first book in the Gallize Shifters series and it was a big hit for me. I love supernatural romances, and the level of detail in the world building here is great. As for the two leads, Tess and Cavanagh were a perfect match. I can't wait to read more about the other shifters in the series. Gray Wolf Mate has everything I look for in supernatural romance.

Don’t speak for me

I finally got back to the first book in this series, and it was fantastic! Cole was certainly a deep pool, too bad he almost couldn’t get out of his own way. I was so glad that his lady love is as strong headed and hearted as her father. Together they found the perfect balance making for an amazing journey to their HEA, but not without a little heartbreak along the way. This book is a wonderful series starter making me anxious to get started on book two.

It was a little hard to learn the world, but so worth it. I love these characters. Cole is a sweetheart alpha, and I love his friends Justin and Rory. Tess is a spitfire. The love between Cole and Tess is deeper than most shifter novels. The intrigue with politics among humans, shifters, Gallize, Cadell, and mages is intricate; I love it!

----SPOILERS----
Cole discovered at 19 that he wasn't human; at 20 he tamed the raging wolf. He's now 26. He's a Gallize, something beyond shifter. 8 years ago, a jackal revealed the preternatural world, war broke out for 2 months, then 5 Power Barons (mages) showed up. They now govern all non-shifters with extraordinary power. That had all happened while he and Tess were in college, human. Black River pack members deal drugs to enhance strength. Cole is looking for Sammy, his mentor bear shifter, partner for 6 years. Supposedly he's now a murderer and drug dealer with the BRs.

Cole/Big Bad gives his custom windbreaker (deflects knives and claws) with cash in the pocket to a homeless veteran. Justin/Smokey, bear, and Rory/Hobbes, jaguar, are assisting in this mission. They're following a lead that a food bank is a cover for dealing Jugo Loco. A homeless old woman goes inside, Cole follows. He finds the source dead with a ticking bomb with a note saying Surprise Cavanaugh, grabs the woman, gets out, though seriously injured. He dreams he meets Vercane, the Gallizenae druidess who gifted his ancestor with the powers Cole possesses, who says It's not your time to die, go get your mate.

He's in the infirmary. He smells Tess, but that can't be. Emotional pain worse than physical.

Tess watches over John Doe shifter. She doesn't like jackals in SCIS, Shifter Criminal Investigation Service; they sometimes attack injured shifters. Combining her existing law degree, her unusual credentials (masters in shifters), and a buttload of hard work and determination, Tess earned her reputation as a top legal expert on shifters. She’d become the liaison between SCIS and all human law enforcement agencies. Shortly after Cole disappeared, her mom was killed by shifters, hence the profession. Her mother's case file is sealed and senator father won't help. Her buzzing energy is strongest is been since Cole left (stops watches, kills all electronics). Her energy won't let her leave Doe's room. Her energy heals his arm and hand. He talks to her, perhaps telepathically.

He wakes, she's there. As soon as he's healed sufficiently, he'll be put in prison. No representation as it's a national security thing because they're trying to take down the BR pack. After she leaves, he tries to turn on the healing IV.

Outside, Tess runs into Brantley, who's interested in her but makes her feel uneasy. Brantley goes into Cole's room; Cole thinks Brantley is a Cadell, enemy of Gallize for generations. The magic that spawned the first Gallize had been denied to Cadellus, a dangerous witch. She bred Cadells for the sole purpose of killing Gallize shifters and taking their mates. Then 2 shifters come in, not medics, who give him a medicine to make his wolf come out.

Tess comes in the next morning, Brantley tells her that Colin shifted and attacked two medics. Liar, I can't be held responsible for what my wolf does when given medication I don't request or approve. She has to move him to a safer holding cell, she has no choice.

The only reason Gray Wolf didn't kill the jackals was because Cole said it would hurt Tess. Before they transport him, Cole gets a chance to talk with Tess: You’re too sweet, too honorable and too decent for this world. Then they hook them up in a truck that'll rip at least one limb off if he tries to move, much less shift. Tess hadn't known about the truck.

The drivers take him on a bumpy road, then someone attacks the truck. Helicopter comes, too. It's his team. They rescue him, blow up the truck.

Brantley is upset, Tess has to face congressional committee. She relieved Colin's alive.

Cole won't risk mating with Tess because his Gallize powers could kill her. Their Guardian, Väktare, 300yo eagle, can speak mind-to-mind in human form when in close proximity to any of the Gallize shifters. Cole and his buddies could use mind talk only in animal form. Väktare wants to go public with the Gallize shifters. He has called Sammy home, and he hasn't come. They're going to look for Katelyn, who'd agreed to marry Sammy but fled when she learned he was a shifter, so that he can spend his last days with her in peace. Väktare knows Cole is experiencing the mating curse.

Cole gets into Tess's apartment. He's Colin. He shares info about that night at the food bank, then tells her what happened 7 years ago. He gives her pleasure, her energy buzzing. Tess skipped 6th grade, graduated college at 20. He tells her to beware of jackals and Brantley, to stay away from the BR pack, and mostly to stay safe.

Cole gets Justin and Rory to help him wrap up his life before the curse takes him. Brantley proves more insidious than Tess thought. She has a hair clip from her mom.

Väktare tells Cole to meet with Katelyn tonight without backup. Cole, Justin, and Rory are going to buy Jugo Loco. SCIS has put out an APB on Cole.

Tess has dinner with her dad. He wants to brand shifters. He's working with Brantley, thinking he's protecting his daughter. He also hints there was another child. Dad leaves, she goes to a bar to meet Scarlett.

Isabella, the woman shifter guarding Katelyn, knows Cole's not normal, knows he's dying and that Sammy has the same illness. She met Katelyn two years ago and knew she'd be running from a bear, gave her a card and said call me when you have questions no one else has the answer to.

Tess meets with Scarlett, a cougar, who tells her there is a mage intern in SCIS. She has also found the alpha who was implicated in Tess's mother's death, though Tess knows he was trying to protect her mom. On the way home, Tess gets kidnapped.

Luckily Justin and Rory were watching. Cole rescues her, takes her to a cabin in the woods. He tells her Gallize and Cadell history.

Brantley calls on Cadellus, who's been helping him and the BR pack. A Power Baron is helping, too. Brantley plans to mate Tess.

Cole and Tess make love. He takes her to her apartment, making sure she's safe, then goes to meet Katelyn.

Tess gets email from the alpha involved with mom's death. She calls him. He relates what happened, a BR wolf was threatening her, that he was with her at the end. Mom said, Tell Tess to follow her heart. He protected her mom because his sister had been hurt by BR wolves and committed suicide. Now she has to figure out how to keep Cole *and* her father. Then she receives a message that someone has her father and will cut off his hands if she doesn't call and meet.

When Cole arrives at Isabella's house, it's been destroyed and Isabella is wounded. She reveals she's half Cabell half shifter, the Cabells tossed her aside because she was female, they have no idea what her powers are. Whoever did this took Katelyn, who was in the basement. Her people show up, ready to attack Cole, but Isabella says he's in my circle. Then she has a vision, he has to get to Tess right now and make her his mate. He calls Rory, who sees an ambulance and follows it. Rory says the ambulance is driving crazy, gunshots, jaguar sounds, then silence. Good thing Cole put a tracker in her mom's barrette.

Tess wakes up, Rory beside her. He's shot in the shoulder. Then a jackal comes in and injures Rory with titanium pole, which, if left in his system long enough, will kill him. He won't shift, though, because that'll leave Tess unprotected. Cole arrives, unchains Tess, pulls out pole so Rory can shift. Then Sammy shows up in bear form, except Sammy's not there. Cole changes into wolf form, but he's never bested Sammy before. Cole asks Rory to shift back to human so he can talk to Tess. He then talks to Sammy, who tells him a wolf killed Katelyn.

Rory tells Tess that Cole would be stronger if they were mated. She tells him that Cole didn't want her; he lied to you. I told him I love him; that's a good start, but you have to accept the mating bond. Can I just tell him? No, don't distract him or he'll lose to Sammy.

Sammy's got 3 fatal wounds. Cole tries to reach him one more time, and Sammy actually sounds like Sammy now, though far away. A wolf killed Katelyn, Sammy's sorry he killed that couple but they gave him Jugo Loco and his bear was starved, he couldn't control him. Then Brantley walks in. With a BR wolf with magic.

The wolf rips out Sammy's throat. Cole fights the wolf. Rory still won't shift. Cole kills the wolf, and then more Gallize show up. Väktare kills Brantley, goes to Cole, and says he's too far gone. Tess won't take that as an answer. She holds him, energy buzzing, says don't you leave me. I love you, I give you my bond freely and if I can't hold your power than at least we go together. Cole shifts, says I accept you as my mate forever, and dies.

Nope, just passed out from lack of blood. Tess argued with Väktare to bring Cole to her apartment, and all the other Gallize thought she was a mouse batting at a tiger. Väktare said Tess must be a Gallize female because she brought Cole back with extraordinary power. That's when the others cheered. Väktare takes Cole to her apartment, where he's in a coma for 3 days 6 hours. While he's asleep, Tess's dad is delivered to her apartment. He thanks Väktare for rescuing him, nicely asks Tess to come visit, and leaves. Cole wakes up, she tells him all that's happened. She says our bonding wasn't a dream. Cole had bought the ring, was going to propose that night, and had to go for a run because he didn't feel well. He shifted because his wolf didn't want to be left out of the bonding. They're going to visit her father next week so she can introduce him as her fiancé.

Gray Wolf Mate by Dianna Love is the first book in her new League Of Gallize Shifters series. I was very excited when I found out that Dianna Love was doing a new series revolving around shifters, and I always enjoy whatever Dianna creates for us. Upon finishing Gray Wolf Mate, I am happy to say that I loved it.

Cole Cavanaugh is a wolf shifter who works for an elite group of shifters called Gallize, who are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups. Shifters became known 8 years ago, when a jackal shifter exposed them, causing them to be constantly watched, especially with some other shifter groups at war with each other.

Cole is on assignment to stop a shipment of a lethal drug, as well as to find his missing friend and member of his team. When he tries to save an elderly homeless woman, Cole realizes he has walked into a trap, and the warehouse explodes.

Tess Janver, our heroine, works for SCIS ( preternatural criminal investigation unit) , who monitor and investigate issues with shifters. 7 years ago, Tess and Cole were college lovers, but one night he disappeared and she never saw him again. Tess does not recognize the badly damaged shifter in the hospital, who unbeknownst to her is in danger from other shifters who want to kill him

This is an exciting, action packed adventure that will have Tess question her knowledge of shifters, and how her Senator father was determined to have them all under confinement; and her shock on discovering that the injured man was Cole. Can Tess forgive or even trust Cole, especially since he is now a shifter?

Tess and Cole can feel the electrical attraction between them is still alive and even stronger. Cole and his wolf can identify that Tess is their mate, but Cole does not want this life for her. A slow built romance begins to sizzle, with both knowing their love is real, but can there be any future? The jackal shifters, and the Black River pack are determined kill the Gallize shifters, which will also put Tess and Cole’s life in danger.

What follows is an exciting action packed story, but I do not want to give any spoilers, as saying too much more would ruin it for you. The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the wild climatic ending; it was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive. I loved Cole and Tess together, as well as Cole’s team members, who we will learn more about in future books.

As always, Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful series for us to savor and enjoy. Gray Wolf Mate was a fun, exciting adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains. I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate and enjoy the ride.

Gray Wolf Mate is a brilliant start to this epic new series by Dianna Love!!!
As soon as Dianna announced that she would be releasing a brand new series of shifter stories I was so excited and just couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of this book. It's based around the League of Gallize Shifters who are the strongest of all shifters and are part of a secret team of protectors. They are highly skilled warriors who protect humans from other shifters who are bad/evil or from those shifters that can't control their own animal that lives inside of them.
Cole is a wolf shifter that grew up not knowing that he would one day become one at the young age of 19. He just happens to be part of the team who are on a mission hunting the evil Black River Wolf pack when he gets caught up in the crossfire and gets captured and taken to a facility where the woman he loves and gave up years ago just happens to work. Tess is the daughter of a senator who is against all shifters, she is in charge at the facility where Cole gets taken. When Cole disappeared years ago Tess never could find out what had happened to him until now!
Cole and Tess's story had me so totally gripped right in from the very first page. It's such an angsty read and the drama is so intense that I nearly had no fingernails left by the time i'd finished it. It's a pulse racing ride of terror but becomes so absorbing and consuming that you get sucked right on in and you just can't let go of where the story takes you. Exceptional writing with very in depth characters and plot.
As with all previous books that I have read and loved by this author this one doesn't disappoint and will be a firm favorite amongst her books. An amazing 5 star read!

This is a great book; this is the first book in the League of Gallize Shifters Series written by Dianna Love. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I have been a big Dianna Love fan through everything she's written so when I heard there would be a new series I was very excited. When I heard it was wolf shifters I was a little less so. Paranormal is my favourite genre, so I've read a LOT of wolf shifter books and series and lately they've seemed all the same. I should have known Dianna wouldn't let me down and a big sorry to her for ever even letting a little doubt enter my mind. The Gallize shifter is an intriguing and innovative new twist and I absolutely love this new book. Dianna has combined the action and excitement of suspense and the fantastical of paranormal in one amazing story. Cole and Tess are wonderful (I'd love to be Tess one day), the bad guys are villainous and I was so immersed in the story it was a shock when I read "The End". Diana's Belador series was my favourite, but I believe this new League of Gallize Shifters will be taking its place and bumping the Beladors to second, for now until the next Belador book I suppose. This series is a must read, I highly recommend it. I'm in love with wolf shifters again.

This is the first book in new League Of Gallize Shifters series, Gray Wolfe mate. I always enjoy whatever Dianna Love creates for us so I was excited when I found out that Dianna’s next series involved shifters. I loved it and couldn’t put it down!
Dianna has created a story that is definitely original in many areas to shifter books I have previously read, Such as humans knowing about shifters, and how the human world handles this. We get to see how both sides of the law, the Gallize shifters, and the preternatural criminal investigation unit SCIS, are dealing with the crime involving rogue or out of control shifters. Both sides are investigating the Black River pack that are making and distributing lethal drugs to shifters turning them into uncontrollable killers.
We also get the story of love lost, and love reignited in what seems a hopeless situation that will take everything they possess to overcome the odds and be together.
There is a great mixture of backstory, action, and romance that makes this a page-turner!

I (guiltily, sadly) got out of the habit of rating books, but the new series by Dianna Love got me back in gear.

I'm particularly picky about my shifter-style series and I have to admit I had a small bit of trouble in the beginning connecting to Cole. Tess pretty much set things right immediately.

There is a little bit of the usual world-building needed for the first in a series but the action is pretty much non-stop. It was all around a great ride and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Gallize Shifter, Cole, was torn away from all he knew/loved when Grey Wolf emerged. Now part of the shifter version of special forces, his days are numbered not by his enemies, but by his own wolf's desire for a mate.

Tess lost the love of her life with no explanation or warning only to have him delivered to her gift-wrapped (ok, bandaged) to her proverbial doorstep 7 years later. Shifters have already taken so much from her, including her fiance and mother. Can she face Cole now that he's one of "them"?

This book was Fantastic!! It is a new series by Dianna Love. Full of action and suspense.
Cole Cavanaugh is a shifter. His elite group of shifters protect humans by the other shifters out there.
When out on a mission he is hurt and sent to SCIS, where he later escapes with the help of his shifter teammates.
The Black River Pack is out causing all kinds of trouble, and Cole and his group need to find out who is behind them before it is too late. They are positive that they have got Sammy (another shifter brother).
Cole sees Tess, his college sweetheart, where she works for the SCIS. She wasn't sure what had happened to him. He just left and its been 7 years since she has seen him. He tries to explain to her the best he can, not being able to tell her everything. They must learn to trust each other before it's too late.
I am excited to know there will be other books in this series.

Gray Wolf Mate-League of Gallize Shifters, by Dianna Love is her new venture into the world of shifters. This book has action, suspense, romance and of course, shifters. The story revolves around Tess and Cole who have opposing views of shifters for very different reasons. Even though the tension and love story are centered on both Tess and Cole and their personal conflicts and views, there is more to the story than just a "love story". Love, family, trust, commitment, and hard decisions abound.
Dianna builds a world suited for her dynamic characters at a time when humans have only recently learned shifters exist. Fear, uncertainty, danger, and ambivalence and at times acceptance play a substantial role in the plot. With its fast pace, smooth read, great story, it keeps the reader engaged and turning pages to the very end. I know. It was difficult to put the book down and I am anxiously awaiting the next story in the world of Gallize Shifters.

Gray Wolf Mate is the first in an exciting new shifter series by the fantastic Dianna Love. There are shifters and then there are Gallize shifters. Gallize shifters were created to keep the other shifters in check. They are strong, smart and sexy as hell.
Cole is a Gallize shifter that thought he was human until his Gray Wolf was called. It forced him to abandon the woman he loved 7 years earlier. This story has them reuniting but still apart. Cole thinks he is protecting her. Tess thinks he is an idiot and she can protect herself. Can they protect their hearts?
I liked Tess. Tess is super smart and ambitious but not to the point of running over folks to get to where she wants to be. Tess focuses on fair. Her father focuses on hate. That is going to cause a problem.
I really enjoyed this new world and look forward to visiting often.
