Jack’s mind and body begin to betray him as he prepares for an inevitable showdown with Batman, and Bruce himself struggles to keep his team united. As the game gets tougher, Batman seeks counsel from a shocking source—and after Wayne Manor is infiltrated, a car chase for the ages aims to curb Napier’s supercriminal crew once and for all.

A VERY SECRET ROOM
…maybe if you two weren’t so stubborn… …you’d realize how similar you’ve become.
There is a war in Gotham City…
…in one side, there is Jack Napier, formerly known as The Joker, reformed, certified sane, and willing to do what’s necessary to make a better, safer Gotham,…
…in the other side, there is The Batman, obsessed, recklessly violent, and too much eager to do what’s necessary to prove that Joker shouldn’t be trusted…
…and in the middle there is the citizens of Gotham, suffering the consequences of this epic conflict. However, hardly, Jack and Batsy are the only ones playing a hand in this dangerous card game…
…Dr. Harleen Quinzel, formerly known as Harley Quinn, smart, resourceful, and willing to do what’s necessary to avoid that those two fellows would kill each other…
…Marian Crews, formerly a second Harley Quinn wannabe, quick-learner, loose-cannon, and willing to what’s necessary to keep the havok unleashed on Gotham, and what better joke like doing it using insidious plans by Jack along with dark secrets from Wayne Family, kept in a room that nobody, not even Bruce Wayne knew about it?
GTO, the new special enforcer unit of GCPD, is beginning fine in its new mission to keep safe the streets, but the problem is that The Batman isn’t willing to share the responsibility for the safety of Gotham with anyone, not matter if Nightwing and Batgirl are in the new joint task force.
This is my best issue so far of White Knight. The seemingly disjointed subplots in the previous four issues are now slowly building together towards something definitely satisfying. Sean Murphy may lack cgaracter depth in writing, but therebis no doubt that the action scenes and his overall art is spectacular.
I am just glad I did not give up with this series. White Knightb may not certainly be in my best Batman stories list (though it is way too early to say that too), but at least now I'd know it would be a memorable one.
I think this may be the best Batman title I’ve ever read. I just really love this take in the Gotham/Batman mythos, and while somethings, namely the Robins, are different compared to the canon, it just adds to this story and makes it feel fresh.
I sit and read Dark Knights Metal, wandering what the hell I'm reading and why I'm reading it. I read this and all I think is when is the next issue coming out?!
At this point I just go through them because the White knight Curse series look promising and I want t have all the precedent event in mind while reading it. I just hope it will stay on track and that I don't do that to myself for nothing!!
This has several moments that are worth smirking over, and the quality of the art remains my standard of excellence. We're mid-story so there feels like less need to impress and more attention paid to getting the conclusion prepared, so that's likely why I wasn't as blown away as previous issues.
(I'm experimenting with a personal checklist in order to understand what I look for in the genre. This got 36.25/50)
Wow! This series had been consistently awesome! As far as publishers go, I'm most loyal to Image, but I do read a lot of Marvel & DC stuff. So without bias I feel like a can say DC is really making a strong showing with this series, Doomsday Clock, Mister Miracle & even the Metal event. It seems like it' s a great time to be a DC fan. I think this series has been the biggest surprise hit though, I just didn't see it coming, but I'm lovin' it!
5 stars. Batman is just as obsessed with Joker as Joker was obsessed with him. Batgirl and Harley both try to get that through to Bruce and he’s having trouble seeing it but it’s true. The people are turning on him for Jack and his plans for Gotham and then we have the “the other Harley” trying to awaken the Joker within Jack and bring him back to life. Everything about this series is just hitting for me so well.
"I meant everything I said. That maybe if you two weren't so stubborn... You'd realize how SIMILAR you've become."
Neo Joker and Hatter breaking into Wayne Manor, Bruce finding out his parents worked with Nazis, Mr. Freeze knowing Bruce is Batman and Batgirl and Nightwing working WITH the GCPD and Batman is all alone?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Not much to say with this issue as it's mostly follow through on stuff from the last one, thought I gotta say I'm real iffy on Bruce's family having nazi connections and him not knowing about it, seems like something he would have discovered during his years of training to me.
There is a feud on the line. Dirty secrets are about to be spilled. There is a fallout and there is emotional upheaval ob everyone. The toll is heavy on the Dark Knight. The White knight gets more stoic, and creepy in his own way.
Que adictivo me encantaaaa ... Aun no lo había terminado wtf regreso el Joker qué vrg va a ir todo a su contra otra vez nmms, será que están jugando con el lector?
Es que quede literal en 0 ya no se en quien confisr JQJQ
The beginning of this issue #5 was so excited that I was looking forward to turn the next page immediately. From this moment to the last issue of the storyline made me realize I was reading one of the best Batman story. Highly recommend it.
Reading ''Batman'' and ''super- villain'' as a description is astonishing. This grew to be one of the best pieces I've read my entire life. It's very well explained, it takes an alternative worth exploring and I am so excited to read the rest of it. It's like the downfall of Batman, or maybe it's not even an alternative. This might happen at any given time if Alfred is not here anymore. It was said before, Alfred was the morale guide for Bruce, and now he lost it, so he lost his way.
