Eric Parker, a fourteen-year-old boy who lives in Brooklyn with his cousin Benny, is sent to Alabama to stay with Benny's great grandmother Lois for the summer. While exploring the house that Lois lives in Eric and Benny discover an old 16mm film camera with a curious set of lenses. These lenses allow the boys to see glimpses of the past and leads them to become witnesses to a murder that has haunted the family for 80 years.
