About the author

Dr. George Kimball Plochmann was born on August 20, 1914 in New York City, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Columbia University in 1936 and completed his doctorate in Philosophy with honors in 1950 at the University of Chicago. Dr. Plochmann was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship in 1959. He is the author of many articles published in professional journals as well as the author of several books.
