A great selection of really good looking recipes, from lobster to chickpeas and spinach. Some are easier than others but there doesn't seem to be anything that I can see many people struggling with. Didn't realise that Spanish cooking was quite so varied.
And wonderful intros to the recipes too. Beautifully written and sometimes quite funny in a kind of dry, British way - 'Though it is seemingly obligatory for photographs of ajo blanco (Cold almond and garlic soup with grapes) to feature half grapes floating, island-like, on top, you will find in reality that this is a hopeless task to execute.'

The best book in English that I have seen about traditional Spanish food. It is very authentic - the recipe for Marmitako (tuna and potato broth) is perfect, even down to breaking the potatoes, not cutting them. Very interesting to read too. This man is an expert and writes with much love.
