Rate this book
TEARS in the WIND: Where Christians Dare, Book Two of The Leeward Set by D.I. Telbat, continues the action and adventure from Fury in the Storm. Five years have passed. Military commanders send trackers after their runaway children, and death closes upon those whom God has sent to protect and rescue the innocent. It will take more than good planning to survive—it will take a miracle! From the shores of Nigeria to the jungles of Myanmar, follow the operatives into the heartbreaking scene of children forced into military service—and the believers who are determined to see them delivered. Where tears of fear were once shed, now a wind of salvation blows upon desperate and yearning hearts. With only faith and prayer, God's people dare to risk all for the lost and needy.Tears in the Wind—a 80,000-word novel of clean action/suspense, with cover design by Streetlight Graphics—will prick your heart as you become closely involved with the rescued children and those who selflessly serve them. Who was to know that God would take and use such broken men for such a mission? But we learn that God uses anyone who is willing.Bonuses a character sketch, a glossary, three maps, Endnotes of a ministry serving child Vision Beyond Borders, and a chapter from another D.I. Telbat novel.

I've been writing novels and short stories since I was a young teen. God has greatly impacted me, and I now desire to honor the Lord with my life and writing.

My stories can be read in several online and print publications, as well as three anthologies. My bestselling COIL Series include novels Dark Liaison, Book One; Dark Hearted, Book Two; Dark Rule, Book Three; and Dark Vessel, Book Four, and are available at most e-retailers, as are Jaguar Dusk, a Christian Special Forces novel, Sea Scribe, a Covert Christian Mission Suspense, and End Times Novel, God's Colonel. See my website for other novels and stories added often, including Dark Cover, COIL Book Five, to be out late 2014.

I offer free weekly Christian short stories, or serialized novels, my Author Reflections, and occasional challenges to the Christian Church on my Telbat's Tablet blog at http://ditelbat.com.

When I'm not writing, I'm very involved in Christian ministry. I've kept my home office in the NW U.S. where my assistant, Dee, lives and helps with my editing and writing needs.

My motto: There is no redemption without sacrifice.

Enrichen your life, all while enjoying this great read!!

I enjoyed this book just as much as any adventure fiction I would read, BUT ended up a more humbled, enlightened, and stronger woman of faith because of it. This is obviously a Christian book(says so in title haha) but anyone who has a heart for exploited and mistreated children would love this book. It’s about faith, hope, and love...the greatest of these being love (as the Good book so perfectly says) 😍

Another great read

David is a master writer. His books should be required reading in every Christian school. They are not only interesting and entertaining but they inspire and educate. He invokes personal reflection and though his characters are flawed like all humanity, they never cease to challenge me to think outside the box and partner with God to change my little corner of the world. He is the only author i actually reread a book. I have read every book and will impatiently wait for the next one. If you like drama, suspense, and current events you will love his books. A clean and thrilling read. This book brings attention to the plight of children in war torn countries and the bravery and sacrifice many are making to save them. I am a retired educator and I am hard to impress!

So sad it is over.

I find myself spoiled by your stories about God's love and care for us His children. At the end of this series I hope you find it in your heart to write spinoffs from these stoies and characters. I so enjoy the stories and the characters of all the books I've read by you. I have yet to find a writer so close to God's own heart and so obedient to His calling to write with in your book the message of the Good News and the path of Jesus Christ we as His followers need to show in our actions as well as our words. Thank you God Bless you and keep writing these wonderful tells until we are called home!

If only...

To be as brave as these characters, to be young again and know what I know now. Once again Mr Telbat has brought us into the lives and heroics of a small band to people willing to give everything up to save the children. To give them the opportunity to have a life. It was interesting to see how not all would change their ways, to see how the dark had taken them over and no light could get in. It would be interesting to read about the 6 months interim but all good things must come to an end. Thank you once again Mr Telbat.

Another fantastic story by DI Telbat

Continuing on from the first story, follow Juan, Troy, Dmitri and Abdul in their next adventure. This story is another touching read by the king of putting things in a perspective of loving people God's way. This one involves children who have been kidnapped, sold or otherwise taken to be soldiers. This is something that truly does happen. I have to say, reading Mr. Telbat's stories strengthens my faith. Other stories dim next to his.

This is a sequel to Fury in the Storm by the same author. Tears takes places a few years after the Fury book. Brave men and women are still rescuing refugees from horrible, dangerous areas near and in North Korea. They now have a ship on which they can rescue more people and care for them until they can get to safety. They encounter many obstacles. It is fast-paced and based on true stories.

Incredible story of rescue and redemption

Another of DI Telbat’s wonderful books of courage. This time from a ship, our hero saves children physically and teaches them spiritual salvation. Parts brought me to tears while other parts brought great joy. My only remaining sorrow is that it’s over!

Tears in the Wind

This book was such an eye opener to the tragedy of kidnapping children in order to make them soldiers in these war torn countries. Though fictional as far as characters go, the story represents real faith and sacrifice and the ever present love of God. Wonderful book!!

Compelling and inspiring story

I very much enjoyed the character development in Tears in the Wind. It was impressive how the author was able to wind so many stories together. I kept thinking to myself I could never write this well. The Christian tone in this book made me feel safe to read, but I recognized the harsh nature of the subject. Highly recommend.

Uplifting and faith building

In America we are so protected and spoiled. In Third World countries weather can be so much evil Christians depend on miracles in a way that we've never learned to do. Don't Mrs. book and the first in the series as well

Another great book by D.I. Telbat

To finish this series by D.I. Telbat the team of Christians that search and rescue children and adults from persecution find some new players that God has put in the mix. How they interact with the team is interesting and makes for a great story.

Amazing Read!

This is the first time I've read this author's work. Exciting story, beautifully told. I strongly recommend both books in this series. I'm looking forward to reading more of his books.

Captivating!

This book gives insight to the use of children, in many countries, being kidnapped and trained for evil purposes. How many can be rescued? How will they get away and where can they go for protection?

Amazing book!

Amazing book and series, although the books can stand alone. David Telbat shows what a powerful God we serve and how He rewards faith and our loving obedience. I love how he uses things that are really happening in his books too.

Years in the wind

This is a very good read. I like the combination of adventure and Christian storyline. But I really like the books with the end times connection.
