Set after the end of Beyond Surrender, this story contains spoilers for basically the whole Beyond Series. If you don't like spoilers, don't read on!!!
Once upon a time, two best friends decided to write paranormal romance. And while that was awesome, they also sometimes wanted to write insanely dirty stuff that wasn’t paranormal at all. This is that stuff.
Kit Rocha is the dystopian-erotic-romance writing alter-ego of writing duo Moira Rogers.
It's a nice gesture on the authors' side that they still write there short stories for people to revisit their favourite heroes and heroines from the Beyond series. However, I found this one to be way too short to be really enjoyable. Though, it was nice to be back in Sector Four.
Creative Incentives is a short story that was originally available through Kit Rocha's Patreon page where you can sponsor the author and read a short story every month. After six months these stories become available to download from Kit Rocha's website so you can now read this one for free.
Ace, Cruz and Rachel have always been my favourite romance in the Beyond series, the three of them are just totally explosive and they fit together perfectly. So as excited as I get for any stories set in this world I'm even happier when they are at the centre of things.
Ace is finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the physical therapy he needs to recover mobility from the injury he received in Beyond Surrender but Cruz is an expert at finding fun (and HOT!) ways to motivate him. I loved this story, in all honesty it would have been even better if it had been twice (or ten!) times as long but I'm never going to complain about any extra chances we get to visit the O'Kanes! I'm so excited that we've got monthly short stories to look forward to, it should help keep me going while we're waiting for the next full length book.
I LOVE getting a chance to look back on previous couples in a series. And Rachel, Ace, and Cruz are sex-ay even when they're not actively trying to be. Then Cruz goes and starts actively trying and the three of them generate enough steam to power a small city.
THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT, MY FRIENDS! Connections and sexy times found in unexpected places.
A very short read updating us on Rachel, Cruz and Ace. It wasn't really anything special and it really wasn't long enough to give us anything new but a brief glimpse into the trios relationship.
My favourite trio in a delightful little story, just the thing to get me out of a weird random Saturday morning funk. I love these little insights into post-series lives of our beloved characters.
