Secrets and lies tore us apart. Can love keep us together? SERGEI Willow thought she got away from me, but she was wrong from the beginning, wrong about everything. I find her trying to take down a human trafficking ring, unsure whether I'm there to help her, or drag her down. But from now on, Willow doesn't have a choice. She will be my wife. She will submit. She will play her role. 30 days until she becomes mine forever. 30 days for her final chance to run. 30 days, and Willow will be my wife, mine until the end of days. WILLOW Sergei wants me to trust him. He orders me to marry him, and he’s giving me no choice in the matter. But our enemies are circling in, enemies we didn’t even know we had. Evil is closer than ever, so close I can feel its hot breath on the back of my neck. He's hunting me, and there's nowhere left to run. I'll have to face the devil himself - and I have a feeling he will make me pay in blood. I don't know who to trust. Is Sergei the perfect liar... or the perfect lover? This is a dark romance, complete with trigger warnings! Part 3 of a 3 part series. The complete series is now available. No cheating, HEA guaranteed.
Thirty days of hate is the final book in this series and I'm sad it's finished. It's been a rollercoaster. This book has had more story, more twists and more disturbing scenes. It finishes the series off perfectly.
Willow and Sergei seek revenge on their enemies. They both want redemption from a past neither were to blame for. They don't want to love each other. In fact, they hate it. A perfect match, so wrong, but so right.
Willow and Sergei's paths cross once more. This time Willow wants answers. These two can't live without each other and finally, it's time for Sergei to come to terms with it. Willow will be his wife. She just doesn't realise it yet.
Thirty days of hate gives all the answers. It concludes the series with a happily ever after. 4.5 stars out of 5. I found this book via Hidden Gems, however, read it on kindle unlimited.
*Third book in a three part series. Spoilers if you haven’t read the first two books.*
Thirty Days of Hate picks up eight months after the ending of Thirty Days of Shame. Willow is in Russia working as a volunteer for an organization that’s trying to shut down Cataha and other human traffickers. She doesn’t know whether to believe if Sergei was being honest when he claimed to be a trafficker, so she’s doing everything she can to find out. Despite still loving him, she hates him in equal measure for what he put her through, and she promises herself that if Sergei is a trafficker she will kill him and live with a broken heart.
The plot is just as exciting and anxiety-inducing as the first two, so it flows steadily. There are some really shocking moments that I didn’t see coming, but left me walking away thinking, ‘ooohhhh, now that makes sense’.
Sergei’s evolution wasn’t as impressive as I’d hoped for. Actually, beyond his minor attempts to pretend to have a normal relationship with Willow and promising to stop lying, not much else changes. He still physically punishes her (quite harshly, too) when he perceives she’s misbehaving. What’s ‘misbehaving’ to Sergei, you ask? Well, when he thinks Willow is considering disagreeing with him, but she actually doesn’t. Now she needs a severe punishment for just thinking about speaking her mind. Beyond giving Willow two (usually undesirable) choices for her punishment, she’s not even given the illusion that she’s allowed to make her own decisions.
I like dark romance, but I prefer HEAs where the hero or heroine isn’t still treated like shit. Still physically abusing Willow (yeah, maybe she enjoys it to an extent, but more often than not she screams no and begs and cries) just to break her down and make her ‘behave’; threatening to humiliate her knowing she hates it; forcing her to marry him… yeah, that isn’t my idea of a healthy relationship.
Potential triggers: Emotional and physical abuse, violence (bloody and sometimes gory), rape, and pedophilic rape. There are references to child rape that have some depth and detail that were particularly hard for me to read.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Stockholm Syndrome, not romance. Very rapey. Ends on a cliffhanger, so maybe the main character (I refuse to call him a hero) does something spectacular to redeem himself. Like build a time machine and go back in time and not be an unrepentant raper. Doesn’t seem likely so I’m done.
Thirty Days of Pain Thirty Days of Shame Thirty Days of Hate by Ginger Talbot
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
As I started to read this book, well all three books, I knew I was in for a journey. It’s a story of life being born into a mob family. The curtains are pulled back on the horrors and atrocities that take place, especially to women and children. There were moments that I had to sit back and hope and pray that this only lives within the mind of the author, but sadly, I don’t think that is true. The love that blooms between Sergei and Willow is conflicting at best, especially for me in my suburban life. However, as I separate myself and my sensibilities, and peek at a possible other life, I can see how their story is heartbreakingly beautiful.
One of the things I love about these books is the internal struggle that Willow has over her feelings for Sergei. It’s evident that the author knows, this is not norm, nor should it be. The character knows it is inappropriate and weird for lack of a better word. I love that the author doesn’t try to sell out Willow, to make is seem that it’s ok to be in a relationship with a man like Sergei and as long as a man shows some redeeming quality, us weak women have to forgive and forget. I despise when I read books like that. Books where subtly or not so subtlety, the woman is some how blamed for infidelity or abuse of some kind. It’s not that it doesn’t exist. I understand that, but I love that in these books, it’s pondered and not blamed or excused.
Here is a quote from the book that I felt was compelling.
“I’m built from different materials then I was led to believe. It’s like I was told I was fashioned from gold, but it was really lead. Everything that I thought was true about myself is a lie. I feel different from the inside out. I’ll start to forget, I’ll start to feel a little better, and then it comes rushing back to me and I feel disgusting all over again.”
This is a difficult book to read, but extremely compelling. I am giving it 5 stars out of 5 because this author is amazing. These characters are beautiful. This love story is epic.
I will say, I read all of these books all in a row, I think that made it enjoyable to me. I would hate to be on a cliff hanger with these charachters.
I've downgraded my negative feelings toward Sergei from hate to mere dislike. Perhaps loathe. I still think he is completely unsuitable as a partner. He doesn't need a wife and family. He needs a psychiatrist. This is not the way I generally feel after reading a romance, dark or otherwise. That said, as with books 1 and 2, the writing itself is good. The story is good. There is suspense. Intrigue. I felt the need to continue to books 2 and 3 even though I flat out hated Sergei during the first two books. That's saying something. I recommend this book IF you are tolerant of dark content, and you are okay with books featuring a relationship dynamic where one person causes considerable physical pain to the other (even through their begging for it to stop). If you read and liked Captive in the Dark (another one where I wanted the "hero" to fall into a wood chipper), then you will probably like this series. It IS good writing. It is just a relationship dynamic that I don't personally understand, and frankly makes me angry. That does not mean it isn't a "good" book, and for that reason I still gave four stars even though my HEA for Willow would have been quite different (and sans Sergei, who would have fallen into a wood chipper).
The way the 2nd book had ended had left me completely devasted. What would happen. Why Sergei had done the things that he did. What would happen to willow. So many questions, I couldn't wait to start this one. Then right from the start I WAS BLOWN AWAY. I just did not at all thought it would start on such a high note. AND I WAS COMPLETELY HOOKED. This book was truly EPIC, as in it has it all lots and lots of ACTION & SECRETS REVEALED & YES, DIRTY DRAMA BW SERGEI & WILLOW. I have to applaud to how far willow has come as a lady. She is brave, courageous, selfless and kind. Especially in this book she takes this traits to just another level. But did she really have to go to war of wills with Sergei for that reason. But then not a normal lady can deal with Sergei so I suppose she can be a little stubborn also.😉 Sergei though, that man can make you hate him so much that you would want to murder him in the same breath as leave you panting and swooning for him. Yes, he is a ruthless, harsh but also giving which he himself doesn't realise. The way he saves so many lives. Even though he is a controlling person yet he deeply cares and protects the people around him. I'm gonna miss Sergei and Willow. THIS SERIES WAS EVERYTHING. LOVED LOVED THIS ONE. 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very difficult to review because on one hand I wanted to give it 5 stars as I did book 2, but I wrestled with myself because I did enjoy the series but I couldn’t understand a few things? What Sergei went through as a child I could understand making him hard but what I struggled to understand was how he could punish Willow so violently and the anal was practically rape, being as he loved her? I mean wasn’t the violence and anal rape him, his friends but especially his brother what caused him to lead the life he did? so knowing how he felt and the guilt he carried over Pyotr surely would’ve hurt him more treating Willow that way? Maybe it’s just me but I was really hoping for bigger change in him, sort of liked the ending but again would’ve preferred his tender side at this point.
I have to start by saying that I read the 3 books in one go to get to review this one. This is book 3 in a series that ends now and I'm not sure what to think of it. My brain and my feelings are in conflict here.
Just so we're clear. I don't have a problem at all with the writing itself. I think Ginger Talbot did a great job at writing this series. I can't find any fault in that part and I can't also find any fault in the structure of this series, or each book separately. I applaud the author for this because it's not easy to do.
I also think the characters were well done, with a steady background and a steady personality. Some authors deviate from character personalities and that's something I did not see here, so I'm happy in that regard.
Now, this reviews is about 30 Days of Hate and you have to read the other two books before this one if you want to understand what's going on, because it's all intertwined together. That being said I managed to get confused some parts of this story, in particular, because it was too fast, too rushed.
I did not like the ending of the book. It was HEA, yes, but I truly don't like when the hero treats the heroine like crap until the end and beyond. I always like my hero's to redeem themselves before the book reaches the point of no return, meaning the end. I had a huge problem with Sergei for that reason. I get that Willow may like some of the things he did to her but the man was just plain abusive and the relationship was not healthy. That being said, this is a fiction novel, so I don't know how much should I expect from characters to behave.
It was a good read, even if the book didn't keep me until wee hours of the night to finish it off. I think my problem started when I got lost and then just went down from there. I do not like when books confuse me to the point of losing the thread of the story. I'm sorry but that's me.
There are some things that could be triggered for other people here: physical abuse, violence, humiliation to the point of being emotional abuse, rape, even pedophilia. It's not a book for the faint of heart and even for me it was a hard read, honestly.

30 Days of Hate is the final book in the “Hate trilogy” written by Ginger Talbot, and is the focus of this review. This book is not a stand-alone book and the two previous books should be read prior to this one in order to fully grasp the storyline. Ginger Talbot is a new author for me, but after reading this trilogy, I am looking forward to reading everything else she has written. Yes, this trilogy is that good!
30 Days of Hate begins about 8 months after the previous book ends and we find Willow in Russia trying to make amends for the horror that her family has brought to many Russian women and their families. In doing so, Willow and her friends get caught by a group of men thought to belong to the traffickers. It turns out that Sergei has organized all of this to scare Willow by showing her how dangerous her actions are. This is the first time that Willow seen or has had any contact with Sergei. Willow continues to have a strong moral stance and the backbone to continue to stand up for what she believes in, even in the face of everything she has experienced. Sergei is still Sergei, just a slightly softer Sergei. He’s still a dominant male who believes that Willow should do what he tells her to do without question, but, Sergei has allowed himself to love Willow and to stop lying to himself and others, especially Willow, about how he feels about her and how important she is to him. Sergei, once again, refuses to let Willow leave and keeps her, this beginning another 30 days of intense action and emotions begin.
I really enjoyed reading this whole series, and this final book in the series brings everything to its exciting conclusion. However, getting to the HEA does not follow a straight line because Ms. Talbot adds some clever twists and turns that have to be navigated before our couple can have their HEA. Willow and Sergei have become one of my top 5 couples in the Dark Romance genre. Thanks go out to Ms. Talbot for this fantastic trilogy and I truly look forward to reading your other books.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
First, let me start by saying that this is a trilogy and must be read in order to understand what is going on. If you have not read Thirty Days of Pain (Book 1) or Thirty days of Shame (Book 2), please do not read any further. If you have read both books already then continue to my review of this book.
This is Book 3 and the final book in this trilogy. We begin this book with Willow in Pevlova Oblast in Russia. She decided after several months of feeling sorry for herself and not really doing anything after Sergei destroyed her heart and soul and left her so he could return to Russia. Willow is now helping a small group of people who are trying to thwart the men that are drugging and kidnapping woman in order to sell them into sexual slavery. She hasn't seen or heard from Sergei for the last eight months and she is only trying to find out if what he told her about being married and a human trafficker is true or just a lie to break her heart and dump her. In the process of saving a woman from being drugged and kidnapped they are both snatched up and brought to a warehouse, along with the two young men that were trying to keep Willow safe during her mission. They are forced to sit and watch as a woman is basically hanged in a video by the notorious human trafficker known as 'Cataha' meaning the devil in Russian. Willow tries to escape with the other three people she is with and comes face to face with Sergei once again. Grab this heart stopping conclusion to find out if Willow has given her heart to a monster or is Sergei up to something else? This is an action packed book and ties up all the loose ends from the first two books. Loved it and definitely recommend to anyone who is a dark romance fan. There are things in this book that may be triggers for some people and it's not for the faint of heart.
This is a dystopian look at human trafficking in Russia. Its a dirty, grimy, mean, cruel and sometimes sickening chronicle of how women💔 are treated worse than animals by gangsters and the Russian Mob.

ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I know some of the scenes in the book📙 may seem simplistic and unbelievable, but human trafficking is real. The more people know about what is truly happening, the fewer places the monsters have to operate and hide in.
Willow is in Russia taking down the traffickers one day at a time with help from her crew. She had come here with the hopes to find Sergei and find out if what he had said to her had any truth but she was unable to find him so she is working her life to help save women from a horrible fate. Sergei is still trying to find Cataha but what happens when he catches up to both Willow and Sergei and they now have a new fight on their hands.
What I enjoyed most about Thirty Days of Hate was watching how brave Willow is when it comes to saving these women whom she doesnt even know, while trying to live her life the best she can without the man she loves by her side, seeing Sergei finally finding Willow and watching how he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe, watching Sergei become closer to Willow and watching how a woman has finally changed him some for the better.
This is a great Series, just WOW. The ending will leave you speechless with new secrets revealed and finding out just who exactly Cataha is. This book has Willow a woman who has had love and lost it and has decided to help woman in this horrible world of Trafficking by putting her life on the line everyday, Sergei a man who finally has found love and now knows what love is willing to protect her at any cost including breaking her heart but when he see's what it could really mean to loose her he knows that his heart is telling the truth and he doesnt want to live a day with out her, a love story. If you like stories like this, then Thirty Days of Hate is a must!
In this love battle Willow put up a needless fight because she was fighting herself. Sergei has changed for her and tried to be what she needed in some ways. Willow was almost irritating to read because she kept on fighting him. She follows him to Russia and joins an amateur anti trafficking movement and changes her identity. He finds out that she has endangered her life and calls her on it. Since he has already set up organizations and protection to stamp out sex trafficking he doesn’t see why she is engaging in dangerous behavior. In the first two books Sergei would never tell her the truth about what he knew on her family or his tortured past. But here he goes deeper than ever. It is just as I thought, the identity of Cataha is revealed. This is the main sex trafficker that he has been searching for. This is the man responsible for his pain, his brothers death, the childhood abuse he and others have suffered. I felt a little cheated on Cataha’s death but it’s cool. This is a great series. I really enjoyed reading it. Sergei just should have secured her somewhere safe and medicated her well so that he could stamp out the danger. Willow was almost irritating honey. After all she went through to get the man, she wanted to be his woman, and when he finally wants to marry her; she’s on this “please understand this has to be my choice.” Which is total crap. She already chose him two books ago. Ugh! Either they work together or just let Sergei handle the danger. She was too much almost! Four ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Completely Engrossing!
Sergei is a damaged young man who’s only thoughts in life are revenge for his pain and treatment as a boy. He wants to make sure that everyone involved pays for the pain and torture that he and his brother and his friends from childhood went through.
Willow is a young woman who is born into a family that makes their money off of others pain. She is a pawn in Sergei’s revenge, until he has her and realizes that she is the only person who can keep the darkness at bay.
In the concluding book of this series Willow’s true strength and self come out. She is now working to save the women who are being taken and sold. She has to prove to herself that Sergei is the man that she thinks he is and the man that she loves. Sergei needs to keep her safe at all costs.
Willow’s past will come back to haunt her in this book, and she will find her peace in the end.
This was a very good story. I loved reading the entire series and found myself having all the feels in this series. It drew me in so much that the ending was too soon. If you like dark romance with some twists and a strong alpha male who will do anything for the woman he loves, you need to get this series. I also loved the ending of this story.
Did not disappoint a deviously demented finish to a very dark and depraved "romance" And it just gets darker and deadlier and more demented! Even as we close the final chapters on Sergi and Willow - I am torn about how I feel about Sergi and his actions, though I will admit he is all Alpha all the time - I felt in this final book we were given the opportunity to see into the darker corners of his mind and possible understand him a bit more. Even with this bit of insight Sergi is still, for me, a bit of a hate-hate love his character. Willow did develop - a lot over the course of this book - I felt she found herself as well as an understanding of the why's and how's of who she is - she has a lot of surprises in this book that are a mix of emotional baggage and strengths And you are never going to foresee some of the twists that occur - I think I said trust no one in one of the earlier books - it still stands As previously the supporting characters are just as interesting and the main characters and I am really hoping that Talbot gives us the opportunity to read their stories
*I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinion stated are solely my own and no one elses*
5 stars
This is the third book in this series therefore, if you havent read the first two books I would strongly urge you to do so.
Sergei and Willow have had one hell of a journey so far and it’s definitely not about to get any easier; in fact things are gonna get even more dangerous.
I liked Willow’s high spirited nature but at times I just wanted her to think before acting recklessly. Apart of me admired her courage to help others but apart me wanted her to stop being naive.
Sergei was controlling and dominant but he’s changed too; he expresses his feelings and fears and shows more emotion than he ever has before.
Several twists and turn in this book - Willow doesn’t welcome Sergei back open heartedly. Her body betrays her but her heart fights Sergei every step of the way - for control, honesty and the right to choose.
A broken, damaged man who was once drowning in the darkness of his past has finally found his way through to the light. Willow couldn’t tame the beast but it’s his wildness that makes her body sing and burn with never ending fire and passion.
This is definitely one of those series that I could read again and again and not get bored. I’ve enjoyed all three books but I have to admit, this one had me gripping my seat - I think my eyes were popping out at some point lol. The epilogue ended things beautifully.
Willow Toporov is in Russia to find out the truth about Sergei after he left her when she and her anti-trafficker friends are kidnapped and terrorized for hours. This is Sergei's idea of scaring Willow into stopping her dangerous activities. Sergei Volkov lied to Willow to protect her because being with him paints a target on her back. But Sergei missed Willow and has come to realize that 30 days with Willow would never be enough and wants forever with her by his side. When big time trafficker Cataha captures Willow's friend Darya and offers to trade her for Willow, Willow sneaks away from Sergei, only to find out that she's been betrayed. Sergei is going crazy after offering $50 million for Willow's safe return but not getting any calls. Will Sergei be able to find Willow before it's too late and get his HEA with her?
Ginger Talbot delivers an action-packed, suspenseful and steamy story full of twists and turns that you won't see coming for a page turner of an ending
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
The final book has much more genuine action than the previous two, had a stronger romantic suspense element and Willow was much more badass (though STILL let down too much by betraying body syndrome). On reaching the end of the book overall I was satisfied with where the story went, though I felt there were things we missed and the timeline of 30 days didn't work. The time between must have been only a week to ten days, yet Sergei's inner monologue whilst waiting for her made it feel as though it had been months.
When reading the trilogy I never felt as though scenes and events were added just as filler, but on reflection, this would have been a much more powerful, much sharper read had it been trimmed down to a duet. With hindsight there was a lot of repetition in the punishment and sex scenes, and elsewhere in the plot.
I still enjoyed this and the pace held my attention from start to finish. If you don't go in expecting too much then this is still an enjoyable read.
****I voluntarily received an Advance Review Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review**** This is the third book in this series and I recommend reading the first two book to comprehend the overall story. Sergei Volkov is a Russian mob boss, who is a sadistic, controlling, damaged man out for revenge for his childhood past. Sergei lied to Willow to protect her from the enemy, Cataha, a human trafficker. Willow Toporov was an innocent pawn in the game of cat and mouse within her family organization. She ventures to Russia in search for answers about Sergei. Her reaction at times seems out of human nature. The book covers family hidden secrets, betrayal and tormented abuse leaving Willow wondering who can she trust. who is real in her life filled with lies and deception. The amazing twisted surprise was a shocker and I loved it. I highly recommend this book to anyone with with a love for adventure. I loved it!
This is the final book in this outstanding trilogy. You have to read the first two books in the trilogy first (30 Days of Shame & 30 Days of Pain); I found all three parts to be exciting and well-written. This review is only for 30 Days of Hate. If you have not read the first two books, there may be spoilers ahead! This book takes place after Sergei breaks both his and Willow's hearts. Willow attempts to redeem the sins of her family and moves to Russia to help the anti trafficking movement. Secrets, twists, turns, and betrayals abound but Sergei's controlling Willow is the major issue. This powerfully dark, BDSM romance kept me up reading until the wee hours. Beautifully executed story, great plot, and these two very strong characters work so well together. If you like dark romances and BDSM, you will not be disappointed.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
This fantastic last part of this superb trilogy deserves 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I can’t say enough about this inimitable writer, she can do no wrong. If this is her debut trilogy she will go far as one of the best writers to be an international best writer. The intrigue and the twists and turns of this book just keeps you reading, I didn’t want this book to end it was absolutely superb. I was blown away by Sergei and Willows love for one another. They would die for one another too. ‘Willow pushed him towards the light”, ‘Willow his Yin to Sergei’s Yang” what beautiful prose. Who would have guessed the brilliant ending, not me. I hate to give out spoilers for other readers so will not mention how this perfect trilogy ends. All I know is that I could have killed Cataha myself, I hated him so much. I can’t wait for more books from this great author. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
First let me say, again, if you have any triggers do not bother to read this trilogy. Now that I have the warning out of the way let me say I don't think this trilogy could have been written any better. This last book, Thirty Days of Hate, was beautiful, horrific, amazingly written, had some crazy surprises that I honestly didn't see coming, and had the best ending that I thought wouldn't happen. Willow and Sergei grow so much together and apart in this last book. You go through every emotion with the both of them and for some time in this one I couldn't see the light at the end of their tunnel. I really wish this could have gone on through another book and at the same time so relieved it's finally over!
What a great finale to this gritty, incredible series! Sergei, upon the completion of his vendetta from “Thirty Days of Shame”, has returned to Russia – without Willow. Willow has matured – determined to right the wrongs of her father while careless to the danger that surrounds her in Russia. Sergei’s treatment of Willow is still often times brutal, as he attempts to control all aspects of her life in order to keep her safe. Willow struggles with her trust issues with Sergei and rebels against his demands to plan their wedding. Surprisingly, I actually found humor in some of their interactions. Nonetheless, this story brought about some very interesting revelations, and some very welcome conclusions. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a wonderful follow up of the 30 Days... it's the third part of Sergei and Willows story. Definitely a dark story with loads of triggers.
We follow Willow as she goes to Russia to save innocent women and children from a terrible fate and also to see if Sergei did indeed lie about things when he broke it off with her.
Really great characters, who are who they are, they can't change it but give it a go. Sergei is a strong intimidating dom, who loves deep but is scarred. Willow is a stubborn strong willed woman who is the perfect submissive type for Sergei as she challenges him as well.
Well-written intriguing story with real world problems, thoroughly pulled into their story.
What a brilliant end to a great dark romance series. I am thoroughly impressed with Ginger's ability to keep me as a reader intrigued and hooked on a romance that keeps me guessing at every stage.
This series has concluded brilliantly and you are kept on the edge of your seat as the dark romance plays out. Willow remains strong and sassy throughout. Sergei dark and demanding who you aren't sure whether to love or hate. These two have a wild journey to their HEA and at times it brushes the line in terms of how dark some of the scenes between Willow and Sergei are but, it is so well written it is so worth every dark and uncomfortable moment!
