Life is a series of events that happen whether we want them to or not. Some bring immense joy, others immense pain. “I want a divorce, this isn't working out any longer” or “On behalf of the military, we thank you for your service. We regret to inform you….has been killed in the line of duty”.....
Change is the only thing we can be absolutely sure of, and for Connor Evans, life was full of the unexpected. An unplanned family right out of high school and a wife who wanted to fulfill her military dreams.
After ten years of selflessness, supporting his wife and being a stay-at-home father, his marriage ends, setting in motion an unstoppable chain of events. When his ex-wife is transferred to Thailand and wants to take the kids, Connor fights for the best things in his life. Now a thirty-one-year-old single father of two daughters, his biggest challenge is yet to come. How does he navigate this one-eighty?
Daniella Kahele is lost in a life that has turned an about-face. Left without a husband, who was killed in the line of duty, she is slowly finding her way while raising a child alone. When her job uproots her from Hawaii to Seattle, she leaves the remnants of her life behind, ready for the challenge of surviving in a whole new world. After some bad dating experiences, Daniella guards herself against any prospect that could hurt her or her son.
Connor and Daniella are both finding their way in this new reality. Can they get through the tough times together and learn to let love prevail?
I am an obsessive romance reader turned writer. An amazing group of indie writers have inspired and encouraged me to pursue this crazy dream and now I can’t imagine stopping. Born and raised, I have always lived in Southern California. I am happily married, with two small fur babies. I love my job as a teacher and wouldn’t want to do anything else. Except maybe be a full time writer. Between reading, writing, and teaching, I have little free time. But in those rare moments I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, binge watching reality television and baking.
Teri Kay has written another story that sucked me in, had me totally invested in the lives of the characters and wanting them to fi d happiness again, with each other.
Connor and Daniella have both had love in their lives before and both had it ripped away from them, in different ways. No their paths have crossed too many times for them not to realize that maybe fate is throwing her hand in the ring. Perhaps they didn't have the most perfect first meeting but once they start to see the person inside and notice how their heart skips a few beats when they are around each other, they both start to realize that maybe, just maybe, there is something to this love-the-2nd-time around theory.
I totally enjoyed the slow-burn and sexual tension in this book. Teri really took the time to build the back story on these characters so the reader really understood their lives and what they've had to overcome thus far in life. She gave them real-life challenges and every day problems just like they were real people. They even have real life bodies and quirky personalities.
The ending took me by surprise, just a little. I think I saw it coming but it still shocked me, wasn't exactly what I expected to happen at a movie and popcorn night. Connor has some crazy women in his life, I just hope he doesn't let all of the sudden attention go to his bald little head, either of them actually.
Pick up One-Eighty today, enjoy the heart-wrenching story of Connor and Daniella and prepare for more in Three-Sixty.
4 star Review One-Eighty (A Full Circle Duet: Part 1) by Teri Kay
Teri Kay is a new author to me and I am not sure why. One-Eighty ends in a cliff hanger so be prepared.
Connor Evans married straight out of school to the love of his life. She wanted to serve her country so he became a stay at home dad to their two daughters. Imagine his surprise when she wants a divorce and is transferred to Thailand, planning to take their children with her. Connor fights for and gets custody but his life has changed forever.
Daniella Kahele receives the news you never want to hear, that her husband has been killed in the line of duty. Struggling with her grief she is trying to raise her son. When her job transfer to Seattle, she decides to try and make the best of it.
When fate intervenes and Connor and Daniella meet, there is attraction. However neither of them want to open themselves up and allow their vulnerabilities to surface, scared of being hurt. What happens when their feelings become to intense to ignore?
Will Connor and Daniella open themselves up to the chance of love, or will fear and circumstances drive them apart?
One-Eighty is a well written story which will tug at your heartstrings. I am excited to see where Ms. Kay takes their story in the conclusion to the duet.

One-Eighty by Teri Kay was an great story about loss and love and finding your way back from situations that you never expected to have to encounter in life. It is moving and real and has the reader wanting to know if Connor and Daniella can actually live life after the events of their past rather than just go through the motions of living.
Daniella was madly in love with her husband, who was in the military. Daniella receives news that she never wanted, that her husband was killed while deployed. Yearning to start over with her son and make a life of new memories, she moves from Hawaii to Seattle with her son. Daniella doesn't expect to date again, let alone fall in love, until everything changes when she meets Connor.
Connor was a stay-at-home dad who loved well being a dad. Being married to a women in the miliary wasn't easy, but Connor made their life work because he loved her. But when his wife comes home one day to tell him that she is leaving him for her secretary, who is a woman, everything changes in a heartbeat. Having custody of his children, Connor is trying to be both mom and dad while his ex-wife is deployed overseas. Connor has no time for dating or love, but all bets are off when he meets Daniella.
Connor and Daniella forge a friendship that turns into something more. Neither are sure of whether or not they are ready but they both know that the feelings they have for the other are something that cannot be ignored. Trying to date while wrangling children and jobs isn't easy, but they try to make it work because their feelings for each other are worth it.
But when the unexpected happens, will Connor and Daniella make it? I hope they do and I wait patiently for the next book in this duet to find out.
I loved this book. Why? Because it was not two perfect twenty-somethings with perfect lives and perfect sex. It's a real story that could be about your neighbor. Connor has become a single dad when his military wife finds love with her secretary, her female secretary. When his ex-wife and her girlfriend move to Thailand, his girls choose to stay with him. So his life revolves around activities with his daughters. His best friend Nic has even been absent since Connor professed his feelings right before her marriage. So this single dad with a dad bod is surprised when he keeps running into Daniella Kahele, a widow and now single mom, who moved from Hawaii after the death of her military husband. When their paths keep crossing, a true friendship is formed that leads into the beginning of a relationship. Both have their personal struggles about jumping into a new relationship but overcome them to take a chance on finding true love with each other. But that is all about to come to halt with Connor's ex and best friend Nic making an appearance at the end. Yes, Teri Kay left me hanging. I kept trying to turn the page, but it wouldn't work. I have to wait. Teri Kay, thank you for writing a story that feels real. A story that has you cheering for Connor and Daniella, wanting to slap others, and just wishing for a true HEA. I will try and be patient but you really should get back to work on Three-Sixty. I need more Connor and Daniella.
Connor is a divorced, single dad to 2 little girls, whose wife has moved to Thailand putting her career first. Daniella is a widow with a young son, trying to start over again raising her child on her own when offered a job back in Seattle. Fate steps in, and Daniella and Connor meet, with an attraction there, but fear takes over as neither wants to let the walls down to be hurt again. And that's all that I'm going to say about that. This is the first time that I've read by Teri Kay, and I did find her writing style talented, however, it took me a bit to get into the story at first. But once I did, I was a goner for sure. And unfortunately, it's a cliffy, so I'm going to get dramatic early, and say that I have to put her on the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and hash tag her #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE! Obviously, after the emotional roller-coaster ride that I was taken on, the conclusion to this Duet can't come out quickly enough. Yeah, I fell in love with this story that tugged on the heartstrings, especially since those kids stole my heart throughout. Not that I didn't start to love Connor & Daniella, because I did, but again, those tiny humans stole the show. Anyway, will the adults let love find them again?! Well, time will tell, I guess. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Let me just say that I absolutely loved this book. Teri Kay’s writing style and descriptions are fantastic! The story she wove was of courage, faith, hope, love and heartbreak.
I absolutely loved Connor and Daniella. They are both trying to find a new normal after their lives have done a 180. Daniella packs up her son after her husbands death and heads back to Seattle to try and start over. Connor has become a single father to two girls after his wife divorced him for another woman and moves to Thailand.
Both are trying to move on and get passed the hurt and pain. Then they come into each other’s lives, randomly thrown together by friends and at school events for their children. They slowly build a friendship and help with each other’s children. Connor relentlessly pursues Daniella knowing that she’s the one for him, until everything blows up and their lives yet again take a 180.
I cannot wait to see how Teri Kay wraps this up. I’m counting down to Three-Sixty.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters are well developed and storyline is great. Single dad, a widow, three children, ex-wife, and best friend. Connor and Daniella are both trying to find a new normal life after each of their lives have been flipped upside down. Daniella packs her son and herself up and moves back to the main land from Hawaii. Connor is trying to find a new normal while raising his two daughters after his divorce. Connor and Daniella come into each other lives randomly and fate keeps throwing them together again time and time again. Building a friendship slowly while getting to know each other and helping with each others children. Connor knows that Daniella is the one for him and constantly pursues Daniella until everything comes to a halt and their lives flip again. Can't wait to find out how Connor and Daniella's story will end!
There is nothing that I love more then a single parent romance. This book had it all! A newly single dad, who was focused on raising his two little girls and wasn't looking for love and a widowed mother who was focused on raising her son and had no intentions of falling in love again. However, sometimes fate steps in and has different plans in store. It was beautiful watching Connor and Daniella navigate the dating scene again and slowing falling for one another. At times I laughed, at times I swooned and at times I wanted to throw my book across the room. It was heartwarming to see the children bond with one another in this book and just when you thought Connor and Daniella's relationship couldn't get any better, the book took an epic turn that ended in one heck of a cliffhanger. I can't wait to continue their story in the next book Three-Sixty and see how their story ends!
If you enjoy a fun, light-hearted read, Teri Kay's One-Eighty is going to be exactly what you are looking for. Main characters Connor and Daniella are surprisingly real characters that readers will love to indentify with and root for as they experience complete "one-eighties" of life and love. Connor, recently divorced from his career-focused wife, is managing as a single-parent of two sweet girls (by the way, Kay's child characters are just as real as her adult ones. Very refreshing.) while Daniella has been shaken by the loss of her Marine husband and father of her son, Aaron. These twists and turns in life put Connor and Daniella on an inevitable road together quite by coincidence. They become quick friends, and eventually, lovers, but life certainly isn't done with it's shakeups.
One-Eighty is completely different than any of Teri Kay's other books, but just as amazing!!! Connor Evans and Daniella Kahele both had their happy lives flipped upside down in different ways. They are picking up the pieces are trying to start out anew. A chance meeting in a bar has them butting heads and becoming "Mr. Rude" and "Feisty Blonde", yet still somehow connecting. A few more random run ins has these two connecting more and more. Now throw in some twists and turns and bam cliff-hanger!!! Can not wait to see where this story end up!!!! Love where this story has gone so far and the non perfection these characters is refreshing. Bang on with that cover photo, absolutely love it! Now hurry up Teri, I need more!!!!
I really enjoyed this one. This is the first part of a duet so it does end on a cliffhanger. One of my favorite things about the book is the hero and heroine are the everyday person. They're not to society's standards and it's so refreshing. Connor has a single dad bod and Daniella has a few extra pounds. To me that made these characters so endearing. This book deals with real life issues. Connor and Daniella are experiencing a new path in their lives after life threw a wrench into their HEAs. Their kids are too cute! They bring a lot of humor to the book. I can't wait for the second part of this duet because it leaves questions of where do Connor and Daniella go from here.
Teri Kay has come a long way since her first book. One-Eighty is truly a heartfelt, romantic, funny and inspiring story. Most romance books have a six pack ab guy on the front, yet this one has a man with gorgeous blue eyes and a great personality to go with him. What you find on the inside is all that truly matters; and Daniella has found that in Connor. I really found these two characters to be down to earth and real. Even the kids in the book are something to talk about. Their little personalities are too sweet and funny. I'm looking forward to reading the next story since this one has a cliff hanger. Great job Teri!
This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. This is the 1st part of a duet, so it does end with the dreaded cliffy! Connor is divorced and a single dad who is raising his two daughters alone. Daniella is raising her son after her husband was killed in the line of duty. There is attraction when these two meet, but they are both vulnerable, and do not want to risk another relationship. This is a well written story, which pulls at the heartstrings, and I cannot wait to read the 2nd part of this duet.
Really enjoyed this story! The characters have amazing chemistry that jumps right off the pages at you! The story of Danielle and the heartache she encountered in her life mixed with also the love she is destined to find again. Conner, what can I say but I wish everyone can have someone like him in their life!!! I also really enjoyed the kids, they brought in humor and the real life feel to this amazing story. I highly recommend this feel good story written by the vey talented author Teri Kay Small spoiler alert........ you will be left at the end needing more!!!
I was lucky to receive this book for my birthday and boy it was a great gift even though it was heartbreaking at times it was so worth it. Conner and Daniella have to learn how to be single parents but when the find each other all seems right on their world until it isn’t. The book ends in a cliffhanger so I had to go get it.
Loved it! I really loved the way everything flowed together. And there were some surprises in it that caught me off gaurd a few times! I love when stories are not predictable. I can’t wait to read part 2!
One-Eighty is part one in the Full Circle duet and it was a sweet and satisfying read.
It falls in the single parent romance trope but it also has that second chance feel. Both main characters have loved and lost, and now they're moving forward on their own raising their respective children.
When Connor and Daniella meet, it's not a great first impression, but fate seemed to want to keep bringing them together after that. Eventually they hit it off, their relationship grew and feelings deepened, but they still had their share of fears and other obstacles to overcome.
The storyline was refreshingly realistic, the characters relatable. I remain hopeful Connor and Daniella will find their way to happiness. I look forward to reading book two!
Oh my gosh!! Teri Kay’s new book has everything we need to keep us turning the pages until the very end. A beautiful widow, a busy single Dad, three children, an ex-wife and an interfering best friend.
Connor is a freelance sports writer who is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. He does the best he can, but sometimes he struggles with being a single Dad and fulfilling the roles of both Mom and Dad in his daughters’ lives. They live in a nice neighborhood with an excellent school system, and so far his girls are happy which makes him happy. He has no time for dating but that doesn’t mean he wants to spend the rest of his life alone. He just has to meet the right woman who will love him as well as his daughters.
Daniella is a heartbroken widow whose husband died in a Marine helicopter crash. He was her soulmate who healed her heart when she had run away to Hawaii, and she is not sure she will ever meet anyone as special as him again. Her son is her top priority and she is glad she decided to return to Seattle when she was offered a job because they desperately needed a fresh start. When her best friend Addyson suggested that they needed a girls night out, she agreed to go because in her heart she still believed in the magic of true love.
What does Daniella think about Connor when she meets him and what happens when they run into each other again?
Will Daniella open up her heart to the possibility of happiness and love or is she too afraid to take a chance?
I couldn’t wait to read this book and I was so taken by the storyline and characters that I read it all in one night. I absolutely love second chance romance’s and this book is filled with fiery passion and hope for the future. I wonder what will happen with Connor and Daniella? We will find out in “Three-Sixty: A Full Circle Duet Part 2”, which comes out later this summer.
This is the first book I have read by Teri Kay and it won’t be the last because I really enjoyed this quick easy to read story. This is book one in a duet and it does end on a cliff hanger so if you like books that give you a HEA you may want to wait until the second book comes out, I can’t wait to see what direction book two takes us. Conner is coming to terms with his wife asking for not only asking for a divorce but moving to Thailand with her lover and after 10 years of being the supportive stay at home husband he now finds himself at the age of 31 a single father. Danielle is also struggling with life her husband was killed in the line of duty and she is slowly coming to terms with raising a child on her own. Can two people trying to find their way in life find strength and love in each other ......... This is a beautifully written story from a very talented author.
This is my first book from this author and cannot wait to tackle the 2nd. Connor is a single dad of two girls. His ex wife left him for her secretary and was trasferred to Thailand with the army. Daniella is a widowed single mom who moves back to Seattle after her husband was killed in action. They meet at karaoke night, with him being rude. They meet up once again as their kids are in the same kindergarten class. They hit it off, enter in Connors best friend, who leaves her husband, wanting a shot at him. Just as his ex wife is leaving the army, moving back, and wants another chance. You have two single parents, who are older and heavier than what you normally read about. It is refreshing to read something where the characters are more realistic, instead of model perfect. Definitely recommend. Cannot wait to read the second installment.
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved the story line and the characters are a lot of fun and very easy to love.
Conner is moving on after a divorce from his first love and Daniella is trying to survive the loss of her husband. These two are perfect together and seem to be headed the right until obstacles bring themselves to their doors.
This of course is not standalone so if cliffhangers aren’t your thing you’ve been warned. I for one can’t wait to see where the author takes us in the next book and very excited for it. Definitely recommend.

Slow burn 2 single parents trying to start over after their lives have been turned upside down, each in different ways. Can they each move on and try to find happiness with each other, or will others interfere? I absolutely love Connor! The chemistry between him and Daniella is intense. Such a fun, slow burn, relationship in the making. I really enjoyed reading about these single parents trying to start over. It’s a refreshing change to have a male lead that is on the heavy side. I think this is a book that many will enjoy. Bring on part 2 ❤️
Great story about two single parents trying to navigate life when their lives turn in unexpected directions. Not only are the characters likable, they are completely relatable as well. Conner is not the traditional alpha male like most of the heroes in romance novels, but that's what made me love him so much! Loving their story so far, and can't for the next book!
I was given the opportunity to read an Arc from Teri Kay.
Connor, a divorced father of 2 girls Harper and London, meets Daniella, a newly widowed mom.of a little boy named Aaron.. Fate brings them together after a rough introduction at a bar. Both are afraid of getting close to someone, they decide they will try to see where this takes them. Do they get together? Do other things come up that will put a divide into their relationship?? you going to have to read for yourself .
