Ramona Meisel is an artist, writer and mythology nerd living in Germany. She’s a strange human hybrid of mended bones and a soul ripped apart at the edges. Her tongue is sharp enough to cut and her mind keen enough to bleed. When she’s not haunting the net she’s perfectly content to lose time in prose and poetry.

I was relieved to find out that this was Meisel's first book of poetry because it shows. There are few gems in this collection. Most of her work reuses several phrases over and over, which takes away from the punch. I also found that less of these poems were image-oriented and did not make much sense. So I am glad to be finished with this collection and hope that I can go back to enjoying her new work.

I know, I already said it with other words but what (else) can I say? Ramona Meisel stole all the most beautiful and painful words in the world to make them extraordinary. It's criminal how much I love everything she writes.
