McKenna has gone through some horrible times, dealing with the death of her parents and wanting to protect and look after the sister she loves dearly. And on top of that she is a witch! But a good witch who can go into people’s dreams and push them in the direction of good. But when she has to go into Declan’s dream, a young man who pursues bad supernaturals, she is shocked by what she sees. This leads to Declan and McKenna, along with a whole host of other supernaturals, to come together. The chemistry sparks between the two and can’t be ignored, even when you are trying to protect mankind!

“Our worlds were turned upside down. Everything we thought we knew about this life was thrown on its axis. Someone abruptly turned off the lights in our bright world and we’ve been walking around trying to find a lamp ever since.”

This was a wonderful magical ride! I haven’t read a supernatural story in a long time and I’m so glad that this is the story that has thrown me right back into the supernatural world! An exciting ride and a story that was so different to anything I have read in a long time.

“Because we are real.

We do exist.

I’m a Strix.”

McKenna was a feisty witch, she was young but had an old soul and after her parents death, she grew up quickly and became more of an adult than a young woman. That didn’t deter from her protective, loyal and kind personality however. She was a great heroine, a strong female lead who you could be proud of and one who wasn’t afraid to go against the norm and to follow her heart and mind, even if everyone else is going the other way.

“He was tortured, begging and pleading to be a good, decent guy, but he was burdened with the guilt of his choices.”

Declan was a fierce protector. Fighting alongside his young brother to protect the world, he had been brought up to defend the world against supernatural, and had never come across a witch he likes. I loved how he stopped and thought about what he had always been told and considered that maybe everything wasn’t as it seemed; he was strong and determined and like McKenna- wasn’t afraid to fight against the crowd.

“I’ll chase those feelings—the ones I shared with Declan. The good and the bad—I’ll pursue those forever. Because they’re some of the best ones I’ve got.”

The story was a magical, enchanting, captivating ride. We are thrown into a world of supernaturals, a world that is rising up and the beginnings of a war. McKenna is no ordinary witch and people are starting to notice; good and bad people! The way some of the religious stories were woven in was so interesting and added a really intriguing element to the story. There were some real twists and turns and some of the secrets that were revealed really surprised me! Now it’s a matter of waiting (impatiently) for the next book.

“In a way, all of the trouble we went through was to get me here. My true place.”

Wow. Just when I thought Cassie Graham had found her groove in contemporary romance, she went and wrote a paranormal romance and... well... I think she hit the sweet spot. She found her home. Enchanting Wilder is a fun, wild ride with twists and turns in every chapter. I can confidently say this is Graham's best book to date!

First let me just say that I coined this author as the modern day Walt Disney after her first book, because seriously, she knows how to write the sweet, hearts and flowers romances. I love how easily I fall in love right along with her characters. But what I loved even more about Enchanting Wilder was that Graham showed a completely new side to her writing - there was action, there was suspense, there was horror, and there was hope.

Although I don't think anyone will take the place of Whitney as my favorite Graham heroine, McKenna was SO fun - feisty, strong, loving - she was such a pleasure to read. And Declan? SO swoony. However, I'm kind of TOO excited for his brother, Wood's, story. Like... GIVE ME THE GRUMPY MAN. #NeedTheAngst

What I loved most about this book is that the book you walk into in the beginning is SO FAR from the one you walk away from. Graham takes you on a twisted journey through these characters' lives and just when you think you have it figured out and you know who they are and what will happen, something else gets revealed that has your head spinning. It's a SUPER fun read and it will literally keep you guessing until the end!

This is the first book in a series, however, I would say you could read it as a stand-alone and be satisfied. Still, I don't think you'll be able to read this one and not wait with bated breath for the next one because SERIOUSLY there is so much still to come. There is a lot of set up in this book - a lot of getting to know who these characters are and what kind of world they live in. Conveniently, Graham sets up a glossary and family tree in the back of the book just in case you ever get lost. I definitely loved having that tool!

At the end of the day, I truly believe Cassie Graham has set up shop in the paranormal romance world and I hope she starts a franchise. She is so talented at creating a paranormal world and I cannot wait to see what she does in the next installment. Five Bewitched Stars! <3

Thank you, Cassie Graham for providing me a copy of this amazing book in exchange for my honest review. Where on earth do I begin?!

I love romance books. I’m a complete sucker for them. Especially paranormal romance books. This one…THIS ONE WAS ONE OF THE BEST ONES I HAVE READ! I found myself falling in love with Declan. Like for real? Who falls in love with a character in a book? Me, that’s who! McKenna and Declan are adorably cute and it makes me totally swoon. Declan kept reminding me of Dean from the show Supernatural and knowing Cassie’s obsession with the show, I’m sure she had those brothers in mind when she wrote the characters of Declan and Wood.

The structure of this entire story was strong. I love how the chapters go back and forth from McKenna's point of view to Declan's.

I loved the setting. The opening scene in the bar really set the tone of the entire book for me. I immediately knew I was going to love the book.

I loved every single character. You can tell that Cassie took her time in building these characters and their back-stories. They were likable and not at all cheesy like some characters that shall remain nameless.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone inside and outside of my reading circle of friends. If I could rate this book 10 stars I would. However, I cannot so a 5 star rating it is. I shall impatiently wait for book 2 to come out.

What I loved about this novel is that Cassie Graham captured the essences of falling in love so flawlessly. Declan and Mckinna were wonderfully matched and their supporting cast was just as complex and detailed. The storyline was enjoyable and so full of magic. I can not wait to see where this series goes.

Personally, I found that this book started off just a little slow. It wasn’t bad, so please don’t think that’s what I’m saying. The thing is, though, in the first book of a series (particularly a paranormal or supernatural type series), the author has an entire world to create. There are so many myths and legends about different types of beings out there that they have to generate both a setting and a baseline for things. You have to know what legend they’re going with. Witches, for example, are portrayed so differently in so many different cultures. It’s not as if the term “witch” evokes a specific image and that’s the only way it’s ever used. The author had a huge task ahead of her based on the type of story she decided to create, but she did it well. It’s just that the setup takes time and I happen to be an exceptionally impatient person at times.

Once I made it through the setup and things started to fall into place, though, this book was absolutely addictive. I couldn’t put it down! I literally binge read well into the night despite the fact that I had to get up early the next day. Suffice it to say that the latter half of this book more than made up for the slight lag in the beginning. If I’m being perfectly honest (and I always am with you guys), it took me a little while to get really attached to the lead characters and to find myself pulling for their relationship. But there is not a single thing in this book that happens without reason, and as more details fell into place, it became more and more compelling. That’s a quality I always look for in excellent writing. There are no loose ends when you get to the end, and it’s absolutely wonderful.

As I’ve told you guys a few times before, I tend to pick up on even the smallest clues when I’m reading, and it’s pretty tough to surprise me. There were a lot of twists and turns in this story, though, and it definitely kept me guessing!

Despite the relatively slow start, this was a really fun and interesting read. I really can’t wait to learn more about these characters and delve deeper into their world in the next installment!

Enchanting Wilder is a paranormal romance with hints of mythology, undertones of religion and a hot, swoonworthy hero that will have your heart thumping!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Think a cross between Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and what you get is Enchanting Wilder.

McKenna is a witch, a good witch, who loves her sister and is dealing with the recent death of her parents. Declan Wilder is a Pursuer (think Dean Winchester) who travels the country with his younger brother hunting supernatural bad guys. McKenna's witch power is to jump into people's dreams and give them a push in the direction of good. Only, one day, she is ordered to jump into Declan's dream and what she sees sends her reeling. Declan and McKenna's paths cross and sparks fly. With the rest of their Scooby gang of witches, demons, Pursuers and immortals, Declan and McKenna must protect mankind from the baddest of the bad.

Seriously, every time I read about or from the perspective of Declan, I has Dean Winchester in my head. That made reading this even more fun! Cassie Graham took her imagination and creative license and brought us a world of supernatural beings that have you wondering who is really good and who is really bad. Underneath all of the supernatural goodness is the romance blooming between McKenna and Declan. It's epic from the moment they meet.

I haven't read any other books written by Cassie Graham, but I'm a believer now. I loved this book and I bet you will, too!

Paranormal love at its best. Sometimes in life we make choices that ultimately leads us to the one thing that will either bring us to our need with love or snatch the one thing in life that can bring us that type of love. In this story the super natural was taken to a whole new level where love is not the only thing on the line. In this story Cassie brings out the world of witches and dreams, vampires, angels, daemons, and those who hunt the guilty and protect the innocent from that which goes bump in the night. I enjoyed reading this story because it really just put me in a good mood. The characters were awesome, the writing good, and the plot was interesting, I really feel into this story and it wasn’t hard to do at all.
I loved how McKenna and Declan both brought out the best traits in each other. They fought for their love even when there were higher powers that wanted to stop what they had. Their relationship wasn’t instant but it was a gradual love of two people finding each other in the supernatural when they wouldn’t have normally. As a lover of Paranormal I can say this is going to be a favorite of mine. Who doesn’t love a bit of magic in their love story. So if you’re looking for a good romance give this book and McKenna and Declan a shot at warming your heart and kindle I did and I’m glad I did.

This book...omg, this book! These characters are so well written I still find myself wanting to be friends with them a month after reading! The banter among the characters makes me think this author has been listening in to conversations with my bestie! McKenna and Declan have such an intricate relationship and while I generally despise the insta-love aspect of any romance...Cassie gives us a WHY behind it! The supernatural aspect to this novel was seamless. I love the world created here! From angels to demons and everything in between...even if you've been turned off of the supernatural genre in the past, read this one! Such an interesting world! If you're a sucker for a good romance...read this! If you're a sucker for supernatural...read this...if you're a sucker for a mystery...read this...if you're just a sucker in general...read this!

Magic.

Magic is what this book is about. And, magic is what Cassie Graham created on every single page of Enchanting Wilder.

Like a moth to the flame, I was immediately drawn in. From the very first page, Enchanting Wilder is an amazing, emotional roller coaster read. The ups and downs, the twists and turns will have you wishing you wishing you were on this journey with McKenna, Declan, Candy, Wood and Kai. It was incredibly refreshing to read an original story that's unlike any other book in the market right now.

Books set in New England tend to steal a piece of my heart, but, it's safe to say that this one now has the biggest piece.

The fact that this took me nearly two years to finish listening to probably says it all. In fact, the only reason I finished it was because I'm trying to clear up my 'Currently Reading' list and I don't plan on starting a DNF shelf just yet!

I really just couldn't get into it, despite a highly interesting opening with a lot of potential. As the story progressed, it became more and more preposterous and repetitive, and absolutely forced. My suspension of disbelief just didn't happen here; it was as if Graham wanted to tie up too many loose ends into too tight a bow.

I also didn't really enjoy the narration of this one. It didn't flow well enough for me. Overall, this one just wasn't for me, I'm afraid.

I enjoyed this book alot although some parts were hard to read through, I didn't give up and I plowed through it. Declan and McKenna's story was very interesting, as were the support characters for this book.

I am excited to read the next book in the series.

Enchanting Wilder is the book to read for anyone who loves Supernatural!!!

I loved Supernatural and this just felt like a cheap knockoff of the Winchesters. I just couldn't get into this, at 1 part there was a mention of a band playing a 'melodic melody' and it started to feel like I was forcing myself to carry on reading

(Possible Spoilers)

Enchanting Wilder has become one of my top favorite paranormal reads!

Oh my.... where to start! There is so much I want to gush about when it comes to this book, about McKenna & Declan. But I don't want to give anything away, because you have got to experience this book. The lore, the monsters, the action. The compelling and gripping characters. This a fantastic, page turning ride. Enchanting Wilder is a book world, you'll want to dive into and stay.

In the small town of Summerson, you meet the beautiful, kind hearted, McKenna Swayer. Her and her sister, Candy are all each other have left, having recently suffered a huge loss, they rely on each other to hold the other up. These sisters are special, their Strix, "Witches". They help mortals choose between light and dark. They go to them in their dreams to guide them and hope their work is enough to help. When McKenna is assigned to warn Declan, "a Pursuer", of danger, she wasn't prepared to feel such a strong connection to him. To think and wonder about him. When she comes face to face with the real Declan outside his dreams, she has her guard up, but finds herself wanting to know more about him then ever before.

Declan Wilder and his brother, Sherwood "wood" are Pursuers. They hunt the evil in the world and protect people from monsters. Protectors, fighters, they are a bright spot in all the darkness. Plagued with strange dreams, one where a beautiful women with wild red hair comes to him. Declan finds him self intrigued and he wants to understand why a Strix is coming to him, and warning him. When he runs into McKenna for real, Declan questions if he wants to get to know this women who calls to a part of him, he wont allow himself to get to close, he feels he's not good enough for her, that their lives are to complicated to add any type relationship or even friendship into the mix.

But as the story develops, Declan and McKenna start to uncover more about themselves and they find their lives mixed with each others in more ways then they could ever have predicted. Secrets surface that could change everything they know, or believe. Together with their families, they will have to fight to save the ones they love and to protect each other and their world.

This story is full of twists, turns, and lots of surprises. Laughs, family, love and some sexy, all that combined makes for a book you'll want to read over and over. I loved Cassie's take on the paranormal, the way she introduced us to her world. I really loved each one of these characters. You can feel how much she put into this story, into McKenna, Declan, Wood, Candy, Kai. In each character, big, small, good, evil.

McKenna & Declan, apart are so great to read, but together they are so much more. I just love them, their silly banter, the flirting and shyness. There's a strong bond between them, that grows each chapter. Together they are magical and swoon worthy.

Cassie Graham weaves a tale so fun, and so enticing. She paints a vivid picture, one that comes to life with every flip of the page. Her words make these characters and their journey feel so real. Fans of paranormal romance, of the supernatural will love this book. And I will highly recommend it to anyone who will listen.

Cassie Graham has been on my watch list for the past year. Her contemporary stories, that are both deeply emotional and suspenseful, have captured my attention. So naturally, I was so excited to see how she fared with her first paranormal story. I am happy to say that I adored this book! Cassie nailed it! Enchanting Wilder is a fantastic story.

Everything about this book made me happy. The characters were brilliant. I loved McKenna and her sister Candy, Declan and his brother Wood, and the many different people we meet throughout the story. These people are vital to what is happening and their personalities and defining characteristics add so much to what is happening. As you read, you cannot help but feel like you are on the move with these people. This book takes place all across the world. It is fast paced, but not rushed. Instead you feel like you start jogging downhill and you begin to pick up pace because you cannot wait to see what is at the end. There is a romance that cannot be denied, danger that is lurking, and a world you cannot help but see in vivid detail. Often times paranormal stories can be bogged down by all the details and new information the reader needs to know to understand the world being presented. But in this book, everything you learn is naturally there. It almost feels like you should turn around and see something in the shadows or in your dreams. It blends the real world and the supernatural flawlessly.

Cassie Graham's Enchanting Wilder is a fascinating tale of the contemporary world we know and the supernatural one we wish we did. It is a brilliant and well written blend of danger, adventure, family, and romance! I could go on and on but just know that you need to read this book. It is well written, wonderfully paced, and a book that keeps you guessing till the very end. Fans of shows like Supernatural and Charmed will love this book that keeps the adrenaline pumping! I cannot wait for more! The Wild series just might be my favorite from Cassie and some of her best writing yet!

I was lucky enough to receive a ARC copy of Enchanting Wilder, and I was so excited to read this book! Cassie Graham's writing style is exactly like her personality: spunky and full of life! I really enjoyed the "voice" of this book and I could definitely see a lot of "Cassie" in the pages which is great. I love authors who have an authentic sound to their books, and Cassie definitely has that!

I was really excited to meet Declan and McKenna, and I loved all the twists and turns Cassie threw my way! This is the type of story that keeps you guessing! Once it grabbed my hand, it did not let me go! Like some have mentioned, I did find the beginning a little slow. I prefer backstory to be sprinkled throughout the story instead of a large chunk at the beginning, but Cassie's sassy style still made it an enjoyable read. I was really interested in the world she created, and I appreciated her unique approach to some of the usual paranormal tropes. Cassie has created a delightful cast of characters, each with their own flaws, quirks, and secrets. I loved being able to peel back the layers and get to know them better. Character-driven stories are my favorites and this one was no exception! This was a really fun and exciting read for me! I was sad when it was over!

I really enjoyed reading Enchanting Wilder! It was a spellbinding read that I would gladly recommend to my friends! I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series! Especially if it happen to feature a certain broody brother that I'm crushing on! :)

Wow. Just ... OH.MY.GOSH. The "WOW" factor was so high in this book. You see, I love a great paranormal story. LOVE THEM. Enchanting Wilder was not an exception. I have a feeling that I'll be comparing a lot of paranormal books to this one for a long time.

I love how Cassie Graham crafted this story. It was careful, diligent. She wove her story together with such ease. I instantly fell in LOVE with the characters. I fell in love with the locations. I just loved the overall plot of this book. It was freaking mad-genius level creative.

I can't tell you how many times I literally GASPED as new revelation after new revelation was revealed. I clutched my Kindle and my chest simultaneously many times thinking "OH MY GOSH - NO FREAKING WAY!!!"

The absolute best part? Not only was there action, and suspense, and all the wonderful things you come to love about paranormal, but this has an amazing romance. A romance that was effortless and easy and spellbinding. And, man, I freaking LOVE love. I loved the slow burn to their relationship. I loved them fighting for each other. I just LOVED them.

Enchanting Wilder was a fast-paced, well written, page turning book. Just overall, AMAZING. You absolutely need to stop what you're doing and read this book. It was just brilliant.

You've never danced with someone you've just met. It makes you nervous and you're wondering if you're going to get caught up in it—in me.

Ohhhh my god! I haven't read a paranormal romance since high school (so 7 years ago) and this book brought back all those feelings memories and just overall joy of reading this genre. The only difference is that this is my FAV genre, NA.

I should mention that this is my first Cassie novel and because this book was so amazing, no doubt will I give the others a shot.

Enchanting Wilder had me spinning out of control. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, it twisted to another! I had so many theories and was amazed to see some of my theories were better than predicted.

I'll chase those feelings—the ones I shared with Declan. The good and the bad—I'll pursue those forever. Because they're some of the best ones I've got.

When I saw this teaser of McKenna, I knew I HAD to purchase the book. That teaser reflected her so well; strong, fierce and beautiful. And Declan? His words brought me to life. So dreamy and swoony.

I honestly cannot wait to see what's next in store for this series and I am dying to read another Cassie Graham novel. GAH!

I know the second his teeth connect with my skin he's marked me. I'm his. One-hundred percent. I'm irretrievably his.

Enchanting Wilder by Cassie Graham is a very original paranormal romance. There is a little bit of everything in this book from witches to demons to angels to hybrids. This book contains paranormal beings galore!
McKenna is the witch that this story is mostly centered around. She is a Strix, which is a good witch that tries to help people choose the good path. She and her sister are left to run the family business and carry out their legacy, but then, things start getting weird. Declan is a Pursuer. He is mortal, but he fights all things evil. When he meets McKenna, there is a unexplainable pull towards each other. As the two start to slowly give in to the pull, secrets come out. The duo, along with their siblings and one demon in touch with his humanity, wade through the secrets to find a way to save the world.
This story was definitely one of a kind. This book was up and down for me. At times, the story felt slow, but then it would suddenly pick up and I was hit with (almost) information overload. Even with all the things thrown into the story, it was quite easy to follow. I didn't feel lost in the least. I was just hoping for a bit more action and adventure than I got.

I have read all of Cassie's books and was so excited to see her take a chance on writing a paranormal ( her other books are contemporary romance) and she completely blew it out of the park!!! I absolutely loved Enchanting Wilder and cannot wait for the next installment. I'm not going to go into the storyline because I'm sure you have already read the description but here are a few of my thoughts :)

This book is full of emotions & surprises and definitely kept me on my toes wanting more! There were moments when I was in complete shock and in awe at how many twists and turns and at how the story was unfolding. Cassie wrote an amazingly unique solid storyline along with characters that I instantly fell in love with. The were strong, connected and very well developed. All of the details she described fit the story perfectly, and I could picture everything in my head. I was totally engrossed in this story like no other!

So go on ahead and one-click this book and take a chance on Declan & McKenna and you won't be disappointed!!!

Man. I have been seriously trying to write this review for days. I had the extreme pleasure of beta reading this book. Cassie has come so far in her writing. Her previous books have been incredible but you can just tell that this genre is it for her. She has the flexibility that you don't always have when writing contemporary. The writing in this book is so expressive and just plain fun with a hint of suspense to keep you guessing about what is actually about to happen. You can just tell Graham had an absolute blast creating, loving and torturing these characters.

Enchanting Wilder features a unique and fun storyline. The emotions and connections between these characters jumps off the page at you and just takes you captive in their story. With this book you don't feel like your the reader but more apart of their story. I am purposely being vague about what this book is about and what happens because its the type of book that you go into blind. You need to just stop and immerse yourself into this book. Just read the words and feel the connections. I cannot wait to see what happens next with these characters.

Manda's 4 Star Review

This was my first book by this author and I have to say I'm so glad I had a chance to read it. I love a good paranormal book and this one was definitely good. I love that it is different than a lot that I have read. The characters and storyline are fantastic and very well written. The story is exciting and progresses well while completely holding your attention. I have never read a book like this before and absolutely fell in love with the characters and story. I could not get enough and thought it was very original and unique. I loved Declan and McKenna but now I need to know more about Candy, Wood and Kai. Very much looking forward to reading more from this author. If you are looking for a good paranormal read that will leave you unable to put the book down then this is the book for you!!

McKenna Sawyer is a Strix, a witch who helps guide people down the right path through dreams. She is assigned to Declan Wilder, a Pursuer who hunts and eliminates the bad in the world like demons and ghosts. Little do McKenna and Declan know, they will be pulled into a fight that has been going on for millennia and they are a much bigger part than either ever imagined.

The book was a nice change of pace from some of the dark romance books that I have been reading recently. There are religious overtones (nothing specific to one religion and nothing preachy) that make the story develop quite nicely. It has a complex web of characters and stories that are unexpected. The book moved kind of slowly at first, but when the action really kicked in, it was a fast paced read. I really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to checking out the next in the series!

This book is a big one for me. It is the first book I have read from this author and it’s also the first paranormal that I have read from beginning to end. That makes for a lot to process to write a review, so I will keep it short.
I don’t know if it’s enough to make me a fan of the genre, but I can say that I loved Declan and McKenna. The writing in this book is some of the best I have seen. I will definitely be reading her other books to find out what I have been missing! The book was a little long and took some processing and I am still thinking it about it hours after finishing it.
If you like paranormal, I can’t think of a single reason that you wouldn’t want to read this book!!

DNF at 30%
Unfortunately I give a book up to 30% to grab my attention and if it doesn't, I have to move onto the next book due to my reading schedule for the blog. This one sounded interesting and this is a new author to me so I was looking forward to reading. Unfortunately it started off very slowly and it just wasn't working for me. It could be timing...I would definitely try to read this one again at a different time. I was looking forward to trying a paranormal from this author. I saw it has received some good reviews so maybe it's just me. :(

I am new to Cassie Graham but I can say that I will be checking out her other works. She managed to create a world that drew you in and made you believe that anything was possible. There were a few (small) spots that lagged for me but that is simply personal preference.

Declan and McKenna are two well developed characters that I found it easy to relate to. I have to say that I enjoy stories that involve siblings in the paranormal world. I think they give us an insight into the characters that we may not see strictly based on a love interest perspective.

Loved It!!!

I really enjoyed this book, I absolutely love paranormal romance....
I didn't realize this was paranormal , also the very first paranormal story for this author.
Her ideas I love , she wrote an AMAZING STORY for this being her 1st paranormal. The characters were awesome and the story spoke volumes on each character . This book has no cliffhanger , but I'm told will continue on with each character ..... I highly recommend this book , and will definitely read her contemporary romance novels. GOOD READING TO ALL.

This is an engaging and well written story. It is a little ‘slow burn’ to start with but this is due to some excellent world building by the author. Although the book is set in the ‘real world’ there are lots of paranormal/urban fantasy aspects that need to be introduced and explained. Whilst I didn’t find this the most gripping of stories, it was entertaining and was never in danger of being a DNF.

The book is written first person from both McKenna and Declan’s point of views, which is unusual for paranormal but really fitted the romance theme, as this is a major part of the story. They made such a complete pair, complementing each other both in their similarities and differences. They have an intense ‘electrical’ chemistry but their lives seems to want to keep them apart.

There are two threads to this story. There is the urban fantasy part, involving witches, demons and other paranormal creatures and with the added mystery of why McKenna is so important and what really happened to her parents. Then there is the developing romance between McKenna and Declan and whether he can reconcile his want for her with his responsibilities as a Pursuer. The book seems to be a fairly standard urban fantasy until WHAM all hell (literally) breaks loose, with lots of startling revelations and loads of action. At this point the relationship between McKenna and Declan almost becomes second place to facing, surviving and beating the challenges that they face.

I really liked the author’s writing style, it flowed smoothly and made it easy to follow the story. Her descriptions allowed me to feel like I was there alongside McKenna, Declan, Candy, Kai and Wood. The plot was a good mix of adventure, mystery and romance, with a steady pace. The action and emotion contained in the latter parts of the book really elevated it onto another level.

I'm looking forward to Candy and Wood's story.
