Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.

She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze.

Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She’s taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone.

She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill.

Lori Wilde’s writing style is always so easy to read. Her characters extremely likeable. The storyline was hard to read, mostly because she makes us like the Tom and Felicity so much. But the payoff is worth it. Highly recommend.
Savannah’s story had me smiling. I loved Hank. Yum. Allyson Charles was new to me. As was Stacey Keith. I really enjoyed their stories.

What a treat for romance fans! This is four linked stories written by four wonderful authors to make a whole novel which gives you insight into four different couples involved with a wedding. Whew. That sounds complicated but it's not, it's delightful. It all starts when Savannah decides to run away from her wedding to Chance. You'll meet all sort of people in Serendipity Texas- Felicity who owns the inn where the wedding was to take place, Harper the wedding planner, Hank who is an old flame, and so on. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Nicely done!

One of my new favorites. Hailey Deacon is an exceptional character who captures your attention with her honesty and quick wit. Even Joshua, who you have every reason to dislike, is a charming character. The love they have for each other is perfect. Not too much sap but a comfortable and sweet dynamic. At the end of the book, you are genuinely happy for the characters.

It may take some time and come when you least expect it to but love will find you. Just ask Savannah and Hank, or Harper and Chance, or Hailey and Joshua or finally Felicity and Tom. They all found love but never expected to find it when and where they did. You won't be able to read fast enough to find out what happens next. I loved every minute of this book and the four intertwined stories. There was no cliffhangers, no cheating and everyone got their happy ever after.

Reading " A Wedding on Bluebird Way" by Lori Wilde and fellow authors Janet Dailey, Allyson Charles and Stacey Keith; was so much fun! This book had four parts to it and each part was written by a different author. This book was based in the town of Serendipity, Texas. Lori started the book with, "The Wedding That Wasn't. This story was about Felicity Patterson and Retired Army Major Tom Loving; Felicity is the owner of the Bluebird Inn and Tom is the uncle to the bride Savannah Loving. The wedding of Savannah Loving and Dr. Chance Worthington is to take place at the Bluebird Inn and is the social event of the town! Felicity is counting on this event to help her start up her new business. Chaos begins when the bride runs away! A chain of reaction affects each couple in each 4 parts to this book! Will Felicity and Tom find true love? Each has past issues that they will need to overcome before they find love!
Next is Allyson Charles' " There Goes The Bride"; this story is about the runaway bride Savannah Loving and a friend from her past, Deputy Hank Evans. Hank decides to help out Savannah after she runs away from her wedding to Dr. Chance Worthington. She needs to think about her next move and to decide how to handle the mess that she has created! Hank is there for her when she most needs him and this is a surprise to them both. Will they be able to deal with the consequences that has set about a chain reaction and find love?
The next story is by Stacey Keith and is called, "Loving Hailey". This story is about Hailey Deacon and her former lover, Joshua Loving. Hailey is from the poor side of town and works several jobs to make ends meet. She lives and takes care of her eccentric grandmother. Joshua is from the wealthy Loving family and is back in town for his sister's wedding. This couple have been in love since they were teenagers but circumstances came into play and Joshua went to college and left town. Hailey is working the wedding as a server and they meet up again. This story's about if they can overcome past obstacles and find a loving future together.
The last story is by Janet Dailey and is called "Bachelor Honeymoon". This is the story about Dr. Chance Worthington, the jilted groom and the Wedding Planner, Harper McClain. Chance realizes that maybe Savannah's actions may have been the best thing for both of them. He notices Harper at the wedding and is very attracted to her. Harper also thinks that Chance is very attractive also but she has her hands full with the wedding disaster! The day of the wedding has been crazy for Harper; her babysitter bailed on her and she had to bring her 4 year old twin daughters, Jessy and Jenny to the wedding. Needless to say; things start to go down from there! Her daughter's hi jinx lead to Chance saving the day and Harper and Chance meeting each other. Will their courtship end in a Bachelor honeymoon? Read this book to find out if all of these couples find their true loves and a happy future; this delightful book is well worth it!

A Wedding on Bluebird Way
Four Novellas – Four Romances – One Theme

~ WOW ~ Four wonderful stories surrounding a wedding that never happened and four couples that found love in spite of the epic event’s failure…or was it a failure indeed…that I could not put down and had to finish to find out how each story ended.

The book begins with a prologue that is almost like that of a fairytale with an omen of dire events to come – but – can a jinx be nixed? Read the stories to find out!

THE WEDDING THAT WASN’T by Lori Wild:
Felicity has had a run of bad luck since her mother died. She has lost much but never lost her ability to bounce back from adversity. Her B&B is soon to be “THE” place for weddings and she is sure all will be well. And then…perhaps not. Tom Loving,
one of the guests at the B&B, takes a fancy to Felicity, settles in to help bring back the bluebirds and the two hit it off…until something happens… This story has a slightly older couple that so deserves the HEA that they finally get!

THERE GOES THE BRIDE by Allyson Charles:
Savannah Loving is the runaway bride who takes off on her uncle’s motorcycle only to be pulled over for speeding. Hank Evans remembers his younger brother’s classmate, provides her with a safe place to stay and then…fireworks occur between the two of them. This story had me smiling and oh so very happy as I read of Savannah leaving behind who her parents wanted her to be while returning to the feisty strong woman she was always meant to be.

LOVING HAILEY by Stacey Keith
Hailey Deacon and Joshua Loving are the story of young love with a second chance. The two were a couple at eighteen and opposites not only in economic status and social standing but also in other ways – and yet – at eighteen they knew they were meant to be together. Of course something happened or there would be a second chance for the two of them and what a powerful story this one was as the two find a way for a future together!

BACHELOR HONEYMOON by Janet Dailey
Even the groom is given the opportunity for a HEA ending in this collection of stories as Dr. Chance Worthington finds himself helping the wedding planner, Harper McClain, out with her charming twin daughters. He is not a fan of children but when one issue after another has to be dealt with he finds himself more and more entranced and charmed by Harper and her daughters. A great addition to the collection that had me smiling often.

The epilogue tied up all the loose ends in a great big happy bow leaving me eager to find out if there might be another collection to read by this group of authors. If not, I hope to find books by each of them to read in the future! Note: Sometimes I like one story more than the other in a collection like this but I have to say that I loved each and every one of these!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC – This is my honest review.

A Wedding on Bluebird Way is a series of four stories that are entwined in several ways, each written by a different author. It all begins with a wedding day that the four were participating in one way or another. The Wedding That Wasn't is the story about the woman who owns the inn the wedding was to take place at & the bride's uncle, Tom. Felicity keeps receiving notices of cancellations & Tom tries to encourage her. There Goes the Bride is about Savannah Loving, the runaway bride. She's always done the expected, correct thing. Until the morning of her wedding when she realizes she's marrying her best friend because it's expected, not because she loves him. While running away, she meets an old friend. Loving Hailey is a story of second chances. The runaway bride's brother Joshua was serious about a girl from the other side of the tracks in high school. He let his parents convince him to go on to college without Hailey & he's regretted it ever since. Will Hailey ever forgive him? The final story, Bachelor Honeymoon, is the jilted groom's story. Chance can't believe Savannah actually left him at the alter. He's proud of her. Chance came to the rescue of the wedding planner & felt the spark that had been missing in his engagement. Can he convince Harper to give him a chance? Each story is a short sweet read with wonderful characters.

It all started with Felicity finding out from her aunt that she is jinxed. She doesn't believe it but then she comes to believe it after the bride decides to runaway. The brides uncle decides it is time to bring back the bluebirds and bring back love and prosperity. When at her lowest point, she sees a bluebird. Is the jinx broken? Tom Loving want to find out. Now Savannah Loving is glad she ran away. Only now she is being pulled over by Sheriff Hank Evans and her girl parts start singing. She has known him for over half her life and now realizes he is the one. With the wedding that is now cancelled, Joshua is back looking to find Hailey Deacon. She is his first and only love. They were manipulated by his parents but now he knows what he wants. Can he win her back? Dr. Chance Worthington, the groom, knows he dodged a bullet. He didn't love Savannah but Harper McLain is heating him up. The problem is, he doesn't do children. To bad Harper has the cutest twin girls. It is a package deal. Will he decide she is worth it? The Bluebird Inn is a perfect place for a wedding. Just who gets married will be fun to find out.

I quite enjoyed this book in the way that each author dealt with a different character that was involved in the wedding on Bluebird Way. Each story was uniquely different and very enjoyable. All of the characters were strong in their own way as well as having other characters stand out in each of the stories. I often don't enjoy books that have short stories like this, however as this one was all tied into the main underlying story, I found this group of stories very enjoyable. Often times when you have different authors writing one or two stands out more than the others, but in this book all of the stories were great!!! Light happily ever after reading at it's best!

I thought this was a really unique idea for an anthology. The first story was about a wedding, or the wedding that was supposed to be. That first story by Lori Wilde was really good. I didn't know what to expect from the others, but it certainly wasn't what I got. It was a story that branched off from the first and the main characters in it were characters we had met in the first.
After the second one, I was very anxious to see who would star in the next stories. They surprised me a few times. When all is said and done, I thought this collection was delightful and the concept was wonderful!

Being jinxed just plain sucked, not that Felicity believed in jinxes.  The bluebirds had deserted Serendipity, TX and her Bluebird Inn was struggling.  She was an optimistic soul even though life had been cruel to her.  She was about to catch the break she needed and worked so hard for by hosting the 'wedding of the year' at her renovated Inn.  One high profiled wedding at the Bluebird Inn, and 4 sweet stories in Serendipity, TX take you on a ride of hope, passion, heartbreak, and endless possibilities.  These four authors told a story that began on the same day but took off in four different heartwarming stories of the people entangled in the wedding.  Four strong women, four strapping men, all learning how to be free and discover who they truly are.  Is there anything better than that?  They entwined these character's tales seamlessly pulling me along until the very end!  Even though the stories are short, there is just enough detail to make them feel real and not lacking.  'A Wedding on Bluebird Way' had me at second chances, self-discoveries, and happy endings.  (And yes, I cried reading the Epilogue...don't judge!) ENJOY!

4.25 stars

A little more than a year ago I read the book Happy Is the Bride that was a compilation that included two of the four of these authors. I really enjoyed how the book was all one bigger story told in 4 short stories. Each story deals with a different angle with different characters as the main focus. I couldn’t pass this one up when I saw this book was using that same format. Plus, I’ve recently discovered Stacey Keith and I love what I’ve read from her so far. The following review is broken down by story.

The Wedding That Wasn’t
by Lori Wilde

This story made me cry. And I don’t mean I sat peacefully with tears running down my face. I am talking ugly crying with hitching sobs and snot running. It is such a beautiful story of love and finding your true self. The things Felicity has been through in her life are incomprehensible, yet she always bounces back. We could all learn a lesson from her, that’s for sure. The only other story I’ve read by this author was in the aforementioned compilation and I hadn’t been crazy about that particular part of the book overall. I’m glad I got to revisit Ms. Wilde’s work with this one because it has definitely made me want to give her another try. ~ 4.5 stars

There Goes the Bride
by Allyson Charles

My goodness, this story was sweet. I thought this was a new-to-me author, but I realized I read one of her books last fall and wasn’t overly impressed with the chemistry of the characters in that story. Well, she did a great job of impressing me here. Not only was this sweet, but it was also sexy, passionate, fun, and profound. I love that when Savannah and Hank connect it’s just instantly comfortable. Even with the heat that sparks between them, their souls are at home. Wonderful! So far this book is 2 for 2 of taking authors I wasn’t too impressed with and turning them into authors I want to read more from. ~ 4.5 stars

Loving Hailey
by Stacey Keith

This is a super sweet story about true love. Or, more like re-finding true love. Hailey and Joshua fell in love when they were 18, but lost their way. This delightful story is about how they find their way back to each other and learn to fight for what they really want. It’s very touching. ~ 4 stars

Bachelor Honeymoon
by Janet Dailey

First, I have to address the issue that for some reason I never realized that Janet Dailey had passed away…5 years ago. That was before I even discovered this author. Or should I say, this author’s ghost writers? The weird thing is, I can’t find any information on who write for her now or if it’s more than one author writing for the Estate of Janet Dailey. I don’t know why, but things like this fascinate me. As for this particular story, I found it very touching. I liked that, although Chance was instantly attracted to Harper and knew he wasn’t “in love” with Savannah, he still questioned himself and his own motivations. Whereas Harper did all she could to resist the chemistry between the two of them, her daughters did not help since they also fell instantly in love with Chance. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of second chances and finding true happiness. ~ 4 stars

Overall, I really love this book. It’s the perfect vacation read since it’s divided into the four stories, none too terribly long. Plus, it gave me renewed interest in two authors that I hadn’t previously had a great experience with. It’s definitely worth picking this one up.

Review:
All together I absolutely love how the stories come together. It is kind of a beautiful thing how authors can work together like that. This is absolutely an amazingly beautiful story and I love how it all works together in one small town. Just like the gossip in a small town. Each story has their own ups and downs to go through. They are short yet quick and you kind of fall in love with each of their stories quickly. Honestly I really want this book in physical form.

The Wedding that Wasn't by Lori Wilde:
This quick short story is beautiful and I am absolutely in love. Honestly I want more. Felicity believes she is cursed and everything in life ends up being against her but it doesn't always have to end that way. It peaks my interest into looking into more of Lori Wilde's books. I want to know what happens in that cute little B&B, with their romance and lives. I am happy that the story went beyond just the romance even in the short time it also focused on the Lovings and the brothers relationship. For anyone who says that relationships like this don't happen this quickly have never been struck by that lightning. 5 stars.

There Goes the Bride by Allyson Charles:
I absolutely love the relationship that becomes between the runaway bride and the man that comes home after running away from his past. It is unexpected yet so meant to be. They knew each other from when they were younger all the elements were there. It was quick and beautiful. I wish I had been able to see how this builds and continues. 5 stars.

Loving Hailey by Stacey Keith:
When love falls apart because someone thinks it shouldn't be there in the first place and then it prevails because it always belongs is always the best love story of all time. This one may be my least favorite out of the four stories in this book. Not to say it is bad in anyway but the best part about it is the end. The ending is beautiful and heartfelt. But the rest of it is a little bit struggle. 4 stars.
Bachelor Honeymoon by Janet Dailey:
This story was honestly the quickest read I wanted to hate this doctor. I really really did. In honesty this comes together so beautifully and so well you can't hate any of it I think the thing I hate is how much she pushes him away but being in her place at one or three times in my life I 100% get it so my struggle to love hate both of them was real. I cannot pick a favorite story out of all of these. But I absolutely loved the way this one ended.

I love anthologies because I can read a story quickly put it down and do what I need to do before coming back and read another. Ones where the stories all connect are even better. This way each character truly have their own voice.

We start out at a wedding with the bride leaving the groom at the alter, so each story moves on from that. You want the owner were the wedding is taking place Felicity Patterson & Tom Loving (The Wedding that Wasn't, Lori Wilde) This one has a cures and two really likable characters. It's a wonderful start to the book.

Next we have Hank Evens & Savannah Loving (There Goes the Bride, Allyson Charles) I also very much enjoyed this one. You understood why Savannah did what she did. You wanted her to find love because she's such a nice person who was in a bad spot. Hank is perfect for her he allows her to live.

After that was Joshua Loving & Hailey Deacon (Loving Hailey, Stacey Keith) I've never read her before so this one is a new author for me. I'm glad they finally found the HEA story. I liked these two.

And last was Chance Worthington & Harper McClain (Bachelor Honeymoon, Janet Dailey) This one ties all the stories up and ends the book. I'm glad Chance got his HEA too. It's not easy being left standing in front of everyone knowing the woman you are going to marry is on the run.

All the stories are good but I will admit my two favorites are Wilde's and Charles. I like them already as authors and that's one of the reason I picked this book.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced readers copy.

Fair warning, I don't usually enjoy story anthologies like this one, but I love the authors in this one so I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did, the stories were sweet and I loved how they all mingled together. I also loved that there was an epilogue, it really tied the sweet stories together in the end.

The stories all revolve around the charming Bluebird Inn in Serendipity, Texas, and an early wedding fiasco. How everyone in the stories are affected by this early wedding drama is revealed throughout the stories, and also how it changes everyone in the stories. I loved how the people recovered and how they were able to grow and change from the first story.

My only complaint, and one I often have in these types of stories, is that because they are short, the stories don't have enough time to fully develop. I think this one was a bit better than most, because the authors were able to bring in past characters, and the epilogue was able to wrap things up a bit.

Overall, short, sweet stories, and a good read. Lovers of anthologies will love this one!

A lifetime of bad luck convinces our main character that she is jinxed. One more bad thing is causing her business to possibly fail. This is a story about trust and faith; trust in man she just met and faith that she won't, again, be on the losing side. This is a story about empathy and courage to go on in the face of failure. HEA is what we all strive to make happen. Good story, strong plot and likeable characters.

4 couples all end up with the one they're supposed to be with and all getting their HEA. Interesting how the authors have all comingled the stories to achieve the endings.

This book was gifted to me by the authors in return for an honest review.

Well, I tried. I got this book based on the description which sounded cute and easy as I continue my ban on thrillers, even though I don’t usually read Romance books. But the romance genre is just not for me. People who meet and then within two days say “I love you” or the endless yet repetitive ways to describe all the six-pack “strong” men and stunning women. I think the main reason why it took me so long to finish the book is that it’s very hard to read while rolling your eyes and gagging at the same time.

This is a collection of four wonderfully written short stories each highlighting one couple involved in a wedding that was suppose to be held at the Bluebird Inn. The authors did a fantastic job of blending all the stories as the effects of the cancelled wedding trickled down to each couple. Each of these stories are fantastic and all together they give you a very relaxing read. I highly recommend this book.

A Fantastic book in a collection of stories by four authors ! This book would make a great movie series on the Hallmark channel. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I must say I love bluebirds and loved the creativeness and interesting facts revealed about them. I loved how the ending of book was summed in the Epilogue for each couple ... brilliant way to be revealed .... Each couple has a special story.

Enjoyed meeting the two special children in the book .. they made me smile and chuckle. No spoilers from me .... and enjoyed how each author blended the characters from each story ... melded so perfectly ! .... such great collaborative work by the authors. Kudos. Families, and individuals had their challenges ..... and two special people said two different statements: concluding event brought tears to my eyes and squished my heart !

Someday ... I can imagine in my mind and heart: a Christmas gathering in the future, bringing all the folks together for one more time. ... and who would we meet all grown up... maybe two special children we met at Bluebird Inn: but what could their stories be?? OK... I love to dream happiness ... but not without a journey to get there ... just like A Wedding on Bluebird Way... at Serendipity, Texas !

What a lovely read just in time for summer. 4 stories all relating to an almost wedding in Serendipity, TX, with happy endings for all, including the bluebirds.
Coming from 4 different authors, each had their own unique story told during the same timeframe and I feel they did a great job.
The epilogue gives you the big final sigh of happiness.

I loved this book. The four stories are all well written with good plots. I enjoyed the way the stories were all connected. I am familiar with two of the authors but the other two were new to me and I will be looking at their books. I recommend this collection of fans of romance books.

A sweet set of interconnected novellas beginning with a runaway bride at The Bluebird Inn. First we follow the B and B owner while she gets swept away in love. Then, the initial bride finds her true love. Her brother gets his second chance with his first love and lastly, our jilted groom finds love at first sight. Fun and a little sexy these stories remind me of a soap opera or a Lifetime movie. They must be read in order, don't skip around or read just one. I'm a big of Janet Dailey and now have three other authors to try. My copy came from Netgalley and my review was written voluntarily.
