For Tad, time is running out.Now that Darek Blake has hired Bay “The Slayer” Collins as his divorce attorney, he realizes the man’s help will come at a much higher price. Becoming an informant was never part of the deal, but with new evidence hitting too close to home, Darek is left with no other choice. With the killer targeting Darek’s old friends, he has to decide which side is most important, his role as a detective, or his past as part of the Zodiac Society.

This was an awesome book just like the first one "Zodiac Killer". It kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me guessing who's the mystery man/woman. I can't wait to start the next book. 🤓📚
OK, I'm hooked. The second installment builds even more tension (if that's possible) and drives the reader from page to page with a hunger to know what is going on that parallels the characters. Some conclusions arrive, but they are far from satisfactory. I believe that is intentional. And still the mystery persists. Who is threatening the lives of these people and why?
Probably still 2.5 stars like the first, but this one was a little less blatant with the sex so it was easier to read. Also, Tad is a somewhat likable person compared with all the jerks in the first one. May actually continue this series slowly...
Well decided to bite the bullet. Will try to read one of these monthly. Wasn't too bad except it get's too repetitive when it keeps telling you how the character's past is coming to haunt them.
I was given an ARC and here's my voluntary review. Wow, this story gets always more intriguing! There is suspense, tension, mystery, all good ingredients for a thrilling novel! Some of the characters we met in the first book are developed here and we become acquainted with other sides of their souls. The style is perfect, you won't stop turning the pages! I can't wait to read the rest of the story!! Totally recommended!
I read the prequel, book one of this series and moved immediately onto book two, Capricorn.
There's an improvement in characterisation as we learn more about Tad and Darek specifically but overall there are still too many characters that aren't fully rounded yet. A format is established as to how each subsequent book will proceed which can be quite comfortable in a longer series of books. However, I was disappointed with the ending of this book, the cliffhanger was a lot less punchy than in the prequel. There clearly won't be a resolution to the story as a whole until the very end of this thirteen book series which is a big commitment. I'm not convinced these books are strong enough to keep me entertained for that long. Capricorn lost a lot of the gritty adult themes from the prequel which left it a bit cold, it became more of a whodunnit crime novel than the thriller it started out as but maybe this book took an unfortunate dip and the next will be better.
It's an easy read, basic dialogue, obvious heroes and villains. It would be a decent holiday read for crime fans. I still think the great initial premise would be better served as a more thorough BBC drama. Perhaps it's a strength for some readers that you could pick up the next book in the series as and when you fancy around your other reads. It's possibly the best way to enjoy it and probably what I'll end up doing...if I remember.
First off I want to give kudos to Ali and Lexi on this amazing series!!! This is a totally new genre for me, I mostly read romance, but I am hooked. This is the first book after the prequel and it will keep you mesmerized. Capricorn is Tad Halston's sign and is the focus of this story. Tad is a pretty boy with secrets that Bay only knows until now. Someone is after the twelve kids from Camp Victory of twelve years ago. The Zodiac Group has a secret to keep and someone is flushing them out with murders and threats. Dareck is a deceive trying for an FBI position but these murders are hitting too close to home for him and his past. One click this awesome murder suspense to see what happens when the Zodiac Killer sets his sights on your sign. Can't wait for Aquarius, I already ordered it!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Thank You Ali and Lexi for a great read
WOW . This series of books just gets so much more captivating as it goes on. I Have recently just finished this second book in the series and its so amazing. The character of Tad is shown as the main character as opposed to Darek which i found very refreshing. His story is just so heartbreaking and tough and real. You are constantly on the edge of your seat as you read about the horrific murders and then twist of the ending of Tads character. But as well as this we have the constant fear that Darek and the boys from camp victory will be found out. Not to mention the ever pressing and frustrating romance and friction between Darek and Lizzy. This book is still dealing with adult and sexual themes but i still find it very interesting. I devoured Aquarius (the third book) right after i finished Capricorn but i wont write another review until the last book on this series. There is 13!
I loved this series so far mainly because..., It’s meaty, there are lots of characters and lots of detailed back stories and plots and schemes and depth and quality to the writing. I can’t quite figure out if Darek is the ‘Good’ goody guy or the ‘Bad’ good guy, the first book had me believing the latter - now I’m not so sure. Tad’s story is so sad and touching, he’s been serially abused throughout his life and can’t seem to get away from his victim persona - a lot of that is down to his toxic relationship with Bay... who I must admit is Seriously high levels of twisted and messed up, Excellent series so far, can’t wait for next book.
I couldn’t put this book down and now that I’m done reading, I can’t wait for the next piece of the story! We’re no closer to finding the killer and the body count is mounting.
Tad, the group’s Capricorn, was the focus of this story. He had some horrible skeletons in his closet - and not just the ones from back at Camp Victory. Bey continues to be coldly calculating and I’m fascinated by his character.
With the old Virginia murder case reopened, Aquarius comes to the forefront in the next story. I can’t wait to read it and see where the story goes next
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review
First of all there was like 100 more pages than what Goodreads has logged on this app so what the hell? Second of all DAMN. I managed to read this book in less than 24 hours with a four month old and doing my house/wifely duties?! This was addicting!! Also I’m going to say it now but I think Lizzy is connected to Emily some how (a relative? The old man that saved hers daughter? Idk but somehow!!) and that’s why she’s so hell bent on trying to solve that case AND she could be the mastermind behind it all? Idk that’s what I think for now, I’m definitely caving and buying the rest of these books that’s forsure I just NEED to know what happens next!! 5 stars!

This book picked up right where book one left off with only a little bit of a summary to remind the reader of what happened in the first book. I really liked this because sometimes authors will spend the better part of the first chapter doing this and boring the reader. This book added a little more info about the characters making you predict and repredict who you think the murderer is. The author provides mystery/suspense, a little humor, and heartbreak throughout the book. This was a good read. I have already started book 3 and looking forward to the rest of the books.
This book is brilliantly dark and twisted. It is gritty, gory, and gut-wrenching. These characters are deeply flawed, with the kind of backgrounds and histories that leave deep rooted psychological scars. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as you attempt to figure out all of the twists and turns. And it will leave you wanting more. I cannot wait to read Aquarius, the next book in the series.
I received an ARC of this book, but I am willingly and freely reviewing it.
I wish there was a little bit deeper insight to Tad and his mental and emotional state with the way he grew up. Even without it you could still see that he was easily manipulated.
Closer to the end of the book Lizzy had a bad attitude and I never understood why. But this book also didn’t give much from her point of view either so I just shrugged it off as not important.
I voluntarily read and this is an honest review of an ARC. Very interesting and convoluted mystery. Characters are well developed and very believable. Several characters are yet to be fully introduced and I'm sure they will be just as satisfying. The next book is Aquarius and I'm looking forward to reading it. Recommended even though each book ends on a cliffhanger.
I enjoyed this book, getting to know the characters. Small SPOILER: There is some sexual content, so if you are uncomfortable with this be prepared. And hide what you're reading in public especially if, like me, you end up reading on a busy train where people can read over your shoulder (and they do).
I enjoyed this crime thriller. Book two continues where Book one left off. As Darek and the others try to solve the murders, they are hitting walls. The closer they get to the answer, the closer they are getting to Darek's secret. This book has a lot of triggers, sexual abuse, drug use, and others. Not for the faint of heart.
This is a great murder mystery. The storyline is intriguing, suspenseful and so entertaining. The characters are defined, relatable, likable and conflicted. You will not be able to put this book down. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
I’m hooked! This was a fast paced read! I love the different POVs and all the mystery and suspense. I only wish there wasn’t such a time lapse between the ending of the first book and the beginning of this one
Dammit! I'm hooked. It's like binge-watching Criminal Minds. I got the first 3 in a series of 13 for free from Amazon. The remaining 10 are $4.99 each... $50! Yikes! And I can't find then through my library 😔
I’m really enjoying this series so far, the books don’t drag on and on, this book was about 170-200 pages long, which I think is enuff, the story gets to the point n keeps moving on, not dragging out something for too long
The book continues the mysteries of multiple killings and even though there’s still Misogynistic, it wasn’t as bad as the first book was. There’s so much twists and turns wether or not the past will be revealed, I can’t wait to read what happens next!
Wow.... loved it. This is the 2nd book in the series and can’t wait for the next one :-) Highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This series is literally killing me! Excellently written, and ends with such a cliff hanger! I cannot wait to see what comes next in the next book in the series.
