Beasts of Prey, part 1

Rate this book
Women convicted of murder are being sentenced to the wild.

Book 2, Part 1 of The Feral Sentence serial - a fast-paced, action-packed award-winning thriller.

One year after being wrongly convicted of murder and abandoned on Kormace Island—the Island of Killers—nineteen-year-old Lydia Brone finds herself torn between what remains of her humanity and a primal instinct to survive.

Haunted by vivid memories of slaughter and death, she struggles to maintain her grasp on reality. She knows that to survive the island, she must abide by her own rule—kill or be killed. Although the idea is simple enough, the act begins to eat away at her conscience.

Now, after a devastating attack brought on by the Northers in the fourth and final installment of The Feral Sentence – Book 1, Brone and her clan of survivors venture toward unknown territory in search of a new home. But with some of the women clashing head-to-head, tension begins to rise, and the idea of a peaceful society appears bleak.

The only hope that remains for Brone is to find her lost friends, the Hunters, to re-establish order.

If they're still alive.

Gawd, I wish these were longer! This series is phenomenal!

I am so invested in these characters! I have actual likes and dislikes about them. They live a certain hell every day on this island. Left as prisoners with rescuers to pick them up after their sentence were served, they soon find out they will never be rescued! They are trapped indefinitely on this brutal place. There is a constant fight for survival everyday. Be it wildlife, another factions of woman called Northers that are blood enemies. Much more savage than the group we are learning from. And then there are the Ogres, a cannibalistic group, worse than any! This being the second part of this series, I think they will learn much more about this island and possibilities of other inhabitants. I can only guess what they will find while in a completely different area since the Northers destroyed their former home and killed many of their people, whom they are trying to relocate. Full of action, adventure and unsolved mysteries! Great reads. Just wish they didn't come out in such short parts!

Quick read but great.

These are quick read books, but so worth it! The characters are really well thought out. Some you hate, some you love. These are such well thought out and pulled together stories. Everything flows and doesn't leave you guessing.

If you love action and strong women characters, with some gory bits, this series is for you! I'm jumping right in to the next book and I'm sure I'll keep going until I'm finished. Only 2 books to go!

Too short!

I realize these stories are written in episodes... But I'm dying to read more! New characters... Some old favorites from book 1. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Disappointing

I gave this story only two stars because even though it's a good story I thought I was paying for a complete book. The part one description does not appear on the Amazon sale page.

I love this story!

The characters are believable and endearing, even the unloveable ones. The hardships they have to endure are intense and heart wrenching. I can't wait for the next installment.

Enthralling adventure ends too soon

This second book in The Fetal Sentence series keeps the action and emotion flowing fast and furiously, even better than book one. The only pity is its brevity. I'm salivating for the next installment already.

Great continuation

I love this series. I was happy to see this book continuing the story of the girls on the island prison. They has to set up a new camp site. Hunting for food, they found elephants, apes, zebras and other wild animals. Can't wait for the next installment.
