Grace is sure she made the right decision, then why can't she get her soon to be ex husband out of her mind? After months apart, seeing Mason again leaves her questioning everything. Even her best friend Jess thinks she's made a huge mistake, but Grace isn't one to second guess or look back. If life has taught her anything, it's that she has to keep moving forward. Back before they were best friends, or even acquaintances, Grace knew of Jess. Everyone in the quiet, mountain town they grew up in knew the name Jessica Long, just like everyone around those parts knew the name Grace Preaker. They were each the unidentified, bylines of local tragedies that fanned outside Willow Gap, Tennessee nearly two decades ago. The two made an unlikely pair, but they shared one thing in common, an intense desire to escape the scrutiny of the locals. Both thought things would get better once they were away from Willow Gap, but two states, and almost five hundred miles away doesn't prove far enough. Some experiences change you forever. They leave scars you can't see, and problems that follow no matter how far you run. Shortly after their divorce is final, Mason shows up on Grace's doorstep with some horrific news. Despite his anger over the way things ended between them, he steps in to help her pick up the pieces, and for the first time Grace wonders if some things aren't worth a second chance. *** This 59,000 word stand alone novel contains sensitive subjects
