Keira Blackwater

Blood for Blood

Rate this book
After learning that her blood played a part in the deaths of several supernaturals, Keira Blackwater wants nothing more than to put her life back together and get back to doing what she loves most: fixing and restoring classic cars.

But we don't always get what we want.

When Keira finds out that a friend is in trouble, she dives into the supernatural underbelly of a local club to rescue him. Things don't quite go as planned, and she is forced to turn to the Vampire Council - who sentenced her to death - for help. Only they possess the Aqua Vitae, or Water of Life, needed to save him, but Keira knows they never do anything for free.

Amid terrifying nightmares, an amulet that's trying to warn her, and the growing threat from the local werewolf pack who still want to avenge the deaths of their Alphas, Keira must once again find the strength to save her friends and herself.

It is a rare find when a sequel surpasses the original but Blood for Blood does just that. If you are looking for a fast paced read full of excitement and paranormal creatures, you’ve found it!

Keira Blackwater is Back and Tougher than Ever!

K R Willis has knocked it out of the park again! Since I fell in love with the super tough, 22 year old heroine Keira Blackwater in Blood Cure, I have been anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Blood for Blood comes out of the gate strong with a brief nod to the major plot points of book one while jumping right into the action of the new story.

Now, Keira must once again risk everything to maintain her code of honor and her loyalty to her allies. Unfortunately, Keira's enemies are like the mythical Hydra. For every one she defeats, two more crop up.

Paranormals come in many forms, but they have one thing in common - they all underestimate Keira. I can't bring myself to spoil such a masterfully crafted plot. I have to let Willis tell you the story.

What I can tell you is how incredibly well constructed the MANY battle scenes are. Willis has a knack for describing deadly hand-to-hand combat in a wide variety of creative scenarios.

The characters all feel like close friends of mine. The pacing is excellent and builds to a crescendo that will absolutely blow your mind. I’m already thirsty for book three.

If you like paranormal, you will love this series (but start with book one). If you’ve never read paranormal, this is the place to start.

I wish I could give 6 stars!

Even better than the first book in the series.

I immediately got the second in the series after finishing the first because I enjoyed the first so much. I liked this one even more. I've always enjoyed paranormal/ sci-fi and this series has plenty. I love a strong female lead character. Looking forward to the next book.

I enjoyed the book. It was fast-paced and hard to put down. Of course, I love the characters. The backstory related to the first novel was sometimes expository, but it didn't take away from my enjoying the novel.
