Rate this book
What’s a man gotta do when not one, but two disasters hit him in the face: A will that forces him to marry, and the gorgeous daughter of his fake wife!

She’s the sunshine I never thought I needed in my life.

A cherry so ready to be plucked.

And I want to be the lucky man.

As her fake dad, I am supposed to protect her, take care of her.

And all I want to do is kiss her like there’s no tomorrow,

Touch her like every part of her body belongs to me,

And f*ck her senseless…until she sees those stars screaming my name and begging for more.

Well, I’ve never played by the rules,

And Jessica seems more than eager to call me daddy, as I order her to spread those legs for me.

But I’ll need to create this one rule in our relationship – it will be our little secret.

We can’t let it out and risk our fake arrangement.

Because that will cost me everything I’ve worked so HARD for.

Turns out Jessica doesn’t want to play by the rules too!

And I’ll have to choose – between my business, my fake wife and her sweet daughter that’s now carrying my baby!

The sweetest decisions are also the toughest.

Jessica baby, Daddy’s gonna make you come…back to him…forever.

20 highlights, 20 and not one of them positive.
Each highlight was a spelling or grammar error or just a wtf this is just bad. There is nothing good about this book, even if you over look the horrible editing/English of a 3rd grader, the story still sucks. By far one of the worst I have read in a while, how anyone rated this higher then a single star is almost worrisome.

What a page turner. I read this book in one night. I mean, the cover is hot. This story captivated me right from the start and one of the reasons I love Amy's work. Even though I thought Ben was a little immature for his age, he was still easy to love. From friends to lovers, which is one of my favorites, to a fake marriage, what could possibly happen? Amazing chemistry! Great job Amy!

At first, I was a little weirded out with this story. Not that I haven't read an older man younger woman story. But Amy just took it a different way. Instead of the daughter coming home and finding mom married or daughter hating mom and hate screwing stepdad. This story is different.
Ben and Pam get married and have a great friendship. Jessica is Pam's daughter and is in a great daughter/mother relationship also. When Jessica and Ben find themselves involved behind Pam's back it takes a toll on everyone.

This is a really good book, I found to like everyone in this book. In the end, Ben even comes out to make himself a better person. I think this is one of the best books Amy has written to date. Good book. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

3.5 hot daddy stars.

A fake marriage romance mix with forbidden romance, oh yeah this has interesting plot and has complicated written all over it and I like it.
Although the whole situation is a bit absurd for me and the hot scenes a bit too much sometimes, I still enjoying the story with all those drama.
This story got the D/little girl kind of relationship, which usually not my thing, but surprisingly I dig this one, I can't put it down, wondering how this complex relationship will end.

As for characters, I like Ben and Jessica, although I wished there's more about them and the development of their relationship, despite all the hotness they bring.

If you love fake marriage romance with a twist, you need to try this one.

No no nope

I one clicked the ad for this book not realizing what it was,but as soon as I seen where this book was headed I stopped reading. I'm truly regret picking this book up. I have a problem with books where there is a fake marriage and still the couple cheats. That's a huge no for me. Cheating still cheating regardless if it's a real marriage or not. My other problem was this guy cheats with her daughter. I realize it's just a books but people like that disgust me. Ben and Jessica obviously didn't care about Pam at all to do that to her behind her back. Sorry but I just really don't like this book.

Breaking The Rules For Daddy!
Ben is a rather immature womanising playboy although he does work very hard for his father's business. Whilst bedding a nameless female he ignores his phone ringing which was to tell him that his father had died. At this point I thought Ben was a jerk and I didn't particularly like him. Life must go on and after the funeral his father;s solicitor gives him a letter which stipulates certain conditions to him inheriting the family business. His father was obviously a wiser man than Ben and to try and make him 'grow up' and get over being such a player and settle down and marry a woman and they must live together for a year. Ben is horrified as he doesn't want to give up his lifestyle. Whilst on a business journey he chats to the stewardess, Pam who is a single mother at 40 who has a daughter called Jessica who is going to med school, and unloads his problem. She tells him to think of it another way to find a solution. He thinks about it and days later he finds Pam and asks if she will be his fake wife for one year. She talks it over with Jessica and agrees on the condition that they are to be friends and no more. Ben is delighted that he's getting away with having to marry and Pam and Jessica move into his home. Why Jessica needed to move in I don't really know as she was off to medical school? Anyway, as soon as Ben and Jessica meet it's light lightening has struck them both and they are in major lust with each other. Ben, as we know is just a male 'whore' and he has sex regularly with his intern at work [sexual harassment at work?] to keep his mind off Jessica - again I think he is awful using some poor woman just to keep his mind off another woman! Eventually he 'gives in' to his lust for Jessica who is also a virgin and says that they must keep their 'relationship' a secret. She loves her mother Pam and yet does this to her? I know Pam has said that she only wants to be friends with him but this is still in taboo territory for me. Will he even stay with Jessica once her novelty wears off? Will the Board at work find out? What will they think if he is still with Jessica in 12 months and leaves Pam for her daughter? Now let me make it clear that I love Amy Brent's stories. She writes great storylines and the characters are so well developed that they practically leap off the pages to you and grab your attention to find out all about their stories. I did love that we were 'listening' to Ben and Jessica's thoughts but also that she had added Pam's thoughts too! It's this later element that really saved the story for me as I found Ben so difficult to like. Technically he wasn't cheating with Jessica but it was rather too taboo for me. Pam was a wonderful lady and far nicer than she could have been. Jessica was rather naive and had some growing up to do but I think she should have made Ben go for a sexual diseases testing to check that he was clear after all his bedding of just about any female. So to summarise my feelings about this book: it is extremely well written and the characters were 3-dimensional that did leap off the pages to me and kept me reading this page turner. As for Ben I wouldn't have put up with him under any circumstances no matter how wealthy or handsome he was and I'm really not certain whether he could be trusted to be monogamous with Jessica as he went and had sex many times with an intern after he met Jessica. Having said all that, this is a piece of literary fantasy and, as such, it perfectly fits the brief of what a 5 star rating would be. Engaging, excellent writing, interesting characters and a real page turner. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Ben just wanted to do whatever it took to meet the clause his father put in his will. On a plane he meets Pam and after talking he can't stop thinking that she will solve everything for him. He tracks her down and asks her to dinner so he can explain what he is offering. Ben wants her to marry him and stay married for a year then they'll divorce and he'll pay her 5 million dollars. Bothe her and her daughter will live with him during that year and he'll take care of anything they need during that time. Pam is stunned but wants to do what's best for her daughter Jessica so she counters that she also wants her daughter's education to be paid for so she won't carry any debt when she starts out. Ben agrees and is happy everything is working according to his plan. WRONG! He never counted on being attracted to his step daughter Jessica. Pam warns him when she notices things between her daughter and him that if he does anything with her daughter she'll divorce him before the year is up. Jessica wants Ben is really jealous of her mother it doesn't matter that the marriage is a business arrangement she just wants Ben. Things escalate between Jessica and Ben what will happen if her mom finds out? Can Ben settled down with Jessica when he is free? Is Jessica just a convenience to Ben?

This was an great story I couldn't stop turning pages. The chemistry between Ben and Jessica is scorching hot. The drama of what her mom will do if she finds out adds to the drama of the story. If you haven't read anything by Amy Brent then grab this book you won't regret it.

Ben is an immature womanising playboy, though he also does work very hard for his father's business.

After his Father dies suddenly, he is given a letter from his Fathers solicitor, which stipulates that he must settle down and marry and they must live together for a year, before he can inherit the family business.

Whilst on a business flight, he chats to the stewardess, Pam, a 40 year old single mother, whose daughter, Jessica, is going to med school and tells her all about his dilemma. Pam advises him to think of alternative ways to find a solution.

Having thought about it, he decides to get back in touch with Pam and asks if she will be his fake wife for a year. After discussing it with Jessica, Pam agrees on the basis that they are friends only, which Ben is ecstatic about and asks Pam and Jessica move into his home.

This is where a few twists start, as Ben never thought he would change from his playboy ways, but it’s insta-lust when he meets Jessica!

To keep his mind off Jessica, he continues his ‘affair’ with his intern at work (yes he’s a jerk!). Eventually though he does ‘give in’ to his lust for Jessica (who is also a virgin and says that they must keep their 'relationship' a secret as she loves her mother! - mmm nice way of showing it!)

The hot steamy scenes between Jessica & Ben will have you hot & bothered!

But can they really get their HEA with all the challenges they have to face?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book you meet Benjamin "Ben" Walker, Pam and Jessica. Ben is looking for a way to get around the marriage clause that his father put in place. The only way he can get control of the company his father built and he has helped build up is to get married and stay married for at-least 1 year. When he meets Pam on the plane he knows that he has found someone who can help him with his problem. The thing is though once he meets her daughter Jessica he knows he is in for trouble. Can he really have it all or will one woman bring him down?

Pam is a single mother with a daughter with very big goals. So when Ben offers her a way to not only make her life easier but her daughters as well she goes for it. Little did she know her little girl was going to find an interest in the man she married. Jessica is looking for a man who makes her feel something. Little did she know she would find it with the man her mom married for a business deal. Can they all have what they want or will it blow up for all of them?

This is a great story about finding someone you never knew you were looking for. There are some twists and turns that I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Ohhhh what a naughty little story.

Ben, playboy CEO and millionaire has just lost his father to a heart attack. When he finds out that he won't get controlling interest in the company unless he meets the marriage clause, he is angry. He his hurt, sad and angry that his father is messing with his personal life. When a flight attendant named Pam gives him some kind words of wisdom, it gets him thinking.

Pam agrees to Ben's marriage proposal. She only does this to provide a better life for her daughter Jessica, who is in med school. What her and Ben don't expect to happen is the strong attraction between Ben and Jessica. Now faced with this attraction and not wanting to jeopardize his inheritance Ben is forced to not act on it.

Can Ben have the only girl who has ever invaded his every thought and feelings?

This book is such a dirty story. It is so hot it is burning up the pages. It is a different take on romance and not what I was expecting at all. Just goes to show that when you fall in love you can't help who it is with. Especially the forbidden. Just makes it all the more steamy to read. Another great hot and dirty little number for you. It will make your toes curl and want to scream.

Excellent book and I loved every word of it.

As I started this book I truly thought Ben was a self-centered ba$+ard. He grew on me throughout the book. Ben finds out after his dad passes away that the only way he will get his father's shares of their company was after he had been married for a year. He had to marry an age appropriate, non gold digging woman. When Ben meets Pam on a flight he starts thinking maybe they could help eachother out. Ben learns that Pam is a single mom of a twenty-two year old daughter that is dead set on becoming a doctor. So Ben makes a proposal to Pam, if she marries him and stays with him for a year he will give her 5 million dollars and pay for her daughter's education. So when Pam and her daughter, Jessica show up to move in Ben can't believe his eyes. Jessica is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Part of Pam's and Ben's agreement is that they are married on paper only and would attend functions together and play the happy loving couple, but they are really just friends and they can f$%k whoever they want as long as they are discreet. Jessica is very attracted to Ben as well. Grab this book today to find out if Ben can get his father's shares or will he throw it away to be with Jessica? Definitely a must read.

Oh my!

What a sweet couple I sort of like these forbidden stories, although this wasn't a full forbidden story, it did have the element of uh oh! they should be more mindful, but there's no fooling the heart!

I really liked Pam, she was a really nice lady whose No. 1 priority was for her daughter, Jessica.

Did she make the wrong choice? NO and she realised the demands she was placing on Ben were unrealistic.

poor Ben, loosing his Dad, but finding out about the Marriage clause on the day of the funeral, Bad timing and a little mean spirited of his father, although his dad really did know what was best!

Then we have Jessica, about to embark on her new chapter, becoming a woman and dealing with more than just school! She was older than her years, she had a maturity about her.

This was a very sexy hot read, should have come with a Fan warning. There were plenty of sexy times but was laced with a serious underbelly that had you turning the ages, and soaking up all the different elements.

Ben realising his father was not a monster, Jessica learning about love, and Pam finding herself making life choices to better her life.

Great Instalove story with some precarious moments, but an awesome happy ending, loved the bonus chapter too!

Oh what a lovely story to start the New Year. Although it was hot man and fake wife, the main thing that stands out in this story is how much love there is. Not just sex but how much the main characters love each other. Beautiful.
To gain control of his now deceased father’s Company, Ben must have a wife for a year and time is running out. Meeting Pam, who is such a lovely, hard working woman is like the answer to his prayers. An air stewardess she travels a lot so his proposition is just a dream for her and her daughter Jessica. Now watch the games begin.
Who knew that Jessica and Ben would have an instant attraction. At first I felt sorry for Pam as she loves her daughter as it’s always been just the two of them. I was pleased that Ben and Pam were good friends which saved a lot of trouble but there is always a spanner in the works along the line...ex one night stand and now ex boyfriend Trey.
A brilliant story having you try to work out how things can ever get resolved and who the main lynchpin in all this and it’s not who you expect. Loved it.

This book puts a different twist on the "fake" marriage and what a twist it is!! Great story! When Ben finds out his dad has died, he is ready to throw himself into his father's place of running the business that has been their lives, but he learns from his father/s best friend and lawyer that his father has thrown a curve ball into that plan. His father wants him to find someone to love and get married before he can fully own the family business. Ben meets Pam on a flight from LA to NYC and in their conversation decides that he can make her a deal that will satisfy the board of his company and help Pam out too. The day they get "married", Ben meets Pam's daughter, Jessica, and almost immediately feels attracted to her. Jessica has always dedicated herself to her studies, but when she meets Ben, starts feeling things she has never felt before. Can they deny their feeling for the sake of the contract between Ben and Pam, or will the attraction be too strong to resist? Amy Brent has done it again in this book and set the pages on fire. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was so hot. It was a little different in the way of the storyline. Ben is a man who has just lost his father and finds out there is a clause in his fathers will that states he must be married for a year in order to retain CEO position of the family business and inherit. Pam is a flight attendant Ben meets on the way home after his father's funeral. Ben comes up with the idea of an arranged marriage to solve his problem. Pam seems to be a woman who can help him out. She agrees to the offer. It's just a business deal to Ben. Enter Jessica, Pam's daughter. Ben finds himself attracted to Jessica. Jessica is attracted to Ben as well. Can they just be friends or will they give in to the attraction? What would Pam think when she finds out? Will Ben admit his feelings for Jessica and explain what has happened between them to Pam? This was a great book. I loved how there was deep understanding among all three characters and how you can't help who you fall in love with. Great ending and HEA!

A steamy read about a billionaire, Ben, and the daughter, Jessica, of the woman, Pam, he fake marries so he can be the permanent CEO of his father’s company after he passes away. Ben is the ultimate man wh*** who has never had a girlfriend so his “open” marriage to Pam is perfect since they are only friends and have never been together. When Pam & Jessica moves in it’s hard for Ben to stay away and even with Pam’s warnings it’s not enough to finally fulfill their fantasies....but what happens if Pam finds out ?
A good very steamy read right from the first pages and at first I really didn’t like Ben, especially what he was doing with Vanessa but pining over Jessica didn’t sit well with me but as the story progressed and they were together, the change in him I liked. What I really liked was the ending and Pam’s reaction to it all...that made me smile. I also enjoyed the 3 POV’s, Ben’s, Jessica’s and Pam’s which was different but very very good.

I generally like this author a lot, and I've read several of her books that I really like, but I couldn't even get through the first chapter. I would never attempt to tell any author how or what to write, but I personally don't understand books having outside of the relationship sex. This book starts out with the main male having a very detailed sex scene with someone other than the main female. I don't want to read that and then later read sex scenes between him and the main female. It makes that main relationship feel not as important or solid and it makes that main character seem like a bad person. I don't expect the characters to be be saints, and I realize people have pasts, but I want that to be in the past, not the present, and not a detailed sex scene. This particular scene was something way too intimate for a casual sex encounter and it makes it worse. Enough of my rambling. Others may like it and see past, or even enjoy, those scenes. But, it's all just jot for me.

Billionaire-fake wife-and her her virgin daughter tale. Ben needs a marriage of convenience to secure his company's future. He meets Pam, a sage flight attendant his own age, and proposes a deal to her. Pam's daughter Jessica wants to go to med school, and is part of the deal. The book is from mostly 2 POVs, but there are a few chapters narrated by Pam, which were enormously helpful. I enjoyed the characters. Ben's libido sees him doing things when Jessica is off limits to him, Jessica loves her mother (“my best friend”) while tempting and lusting after Ben, and Pam wants to see the arrangement through while being a friend to Ben and a good mother to Jessica. The instant spark between Ben and Jessica continues to grow, no matter how wrong it may seem. I liked Jessica's final ultimatum, and this strong young woman shows her 42 year old daddy who's the boss. Well written with steamy scenes and an HEA.

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

I am ambivalent about this book. If it hadn't been so well written and so well edited, I would have probably given it a couple fewer stars. The older guy and the young virgin is ok once in a while, but in this case, with him married to her mother (and I don't care if it was a business deal or not), it was a little odd. I kept reading, despite the fact that the subject matter made me squint a little. Jessica would not have been that immature at 22 and a Med student. Believe me she wouldn't be IN med school at that level of immaturity. It wasn't that this book made me uncomfortable. Hardly. But what it did was test the boundaries of what I would read and really get into, and this was not a story I could get into. Was it hot and steamy? Yes, Amy Brent's books always are. And I like hot and steamy. But this just didn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, this is a personal choice with the subject matter, and another person may love the hell out of this book.

Once again Amy has written a good book with a well-developed story line and interesting characters. Ben a CEO billionaire playboy has lost his father suddenly. His father has left a will stipulating that he be married to gain controlling interest in the company. Ben angry, hurt doesn't want to be forced into a marriage. He meets Pam a flight attendant and later asks her to enter into a fake marriage with him. “Pretend Daddy” is extremely steamy with an unexpected take on the romance. I thought that Ben was very immature for a man in his 40s. Being a playboy and having one night stands with 20 something girls is probably why his father placed the stipulation in the will. For once I'd like to see the older women get the playboy. In any case, I enjoyed this story and do recommend it.

Flying home and angry after his father's funeral he ends up discussing this with Pam a flight attendant. When she suggests that there's more than one way to fulfill his father's wishes he ends up proposing a fake marriage arrangement with her. Pam agrees on the condition that they remain just friends. What neither counted on was the intense attraction Ben and her 22 year old daughter Jessica would have for one another. I loved this book the chemistry and sparks between Ben and Jessica was explosive. This was a different spin on the fake marriage theme that I really enjoyed reading. Very well written book with great storyline and plot. A sweet romance book. Nice read with very hot scenes. It surprised me positively. A naughty little one :) I like Amy Brent takes the taboo theme older stepfather/younger stepdaughter and makes a great story.

I love the journey towards their HEA. There is fear, drama, passion, emotions, hot scenes, twists and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. Instant attraction. It is written in multiple POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I like that it has an epilogue.

Lots of chemistry and hot scenes. I like the main characters and how they develop. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating from first to last chapter. The author has delivered a story that is worth the read!

In this marriage of convenience to satisfy the requirements of Ben's father’s Will, what seemed easy was much more complicated. Ben made an arrangement with Pam to marry him for the required one year period for a large sum of money. This would enable him to inherit what should have been rightfully his without this stipulation! But the arrangement seemed to be agreeable to both of them – until he met her daughter, Jessica. Will these two fall in love/lust and mess up the fake marriage situation? Will they be discovered if they do give in to temptation?

"Pretend Daddy" is a standalone with a HEA, well written and an easy read. Although I received a copy of this book, my review is completely voluntary and unbiased.

Wow!!  Talk about taboo, slightly twisted and scorching hot!!  Ben needs a wife so he marries Pam. It is strictly fake and everything should be fine, until he meets her gorgeous, virginal daughter. This story has so much: older man/younger woman, stepdaddy, step daughter and so much more. But under it all is real emotion amd love. I really loved this book and could not put it down. A must read!  I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Another fantastic book by Ms Brent!!
I found that I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline of it and didn’t want to put it down once I started!
Ben runs his fathers conpamg and finds out, after his dad passed away, that he must marry and stay married for a year before he will get the remaining shares of the company. He meets Pam and she agrees to marry him due to her struggling financially. What Ben didn’t expect was Jessica. Pam’s daughter who moves in with them.
Can he keep away from the temptation that is Jessica and remain faithful to Pam, even though their marriage is only for convenience?
A must read if you ask me!

WOW this is one HOT story!! You have three main characters....Ben, Pam and Jessica. Ben is the billionaire needing to marry. Pam is the Flight attendant he marries and Jessica is Pam's Med Student daughter. What is a man to do when he is pushed to marry in order to inherit? Well of course he follows thru. His fake marriage brings him something he never thought he would get. You really have to read this story to find out how they finally gets their HEA!!! The twists in this story run deep, the sex is hot and emotions run rampant!!! You will not be disappointed in any way. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

Pretend Daddy by Amy Brent is an older man younger woman romance.. Ben's got his life planned out. Get a fake wife, stay married for a year, get control of the company shares, get divorced.
Once he meets his wife's daughter all the plans fly right out the window. Hook up with Jessica and her mom divorces him and he looses the company shares? Give up company and stay with Jessica? Hide their affair from his wife and her mother until the year runs out?
I gave this book 4 stars as I really dislike both characters, I found Ben to be immature with no self control and Jessica a whining little twat.

It's rare that I rate a book anything less than three, and I never leave bad reviews...until this book. I started the book based on the title, hoping for some straight forward, trashy, crazy sex. I became so irritated about misspellings, bad sentence structure, and story inconsistencies that I couldn't even enjoy the fun parts. Or any other part. Amy Brant, if you read this, I am not trying to be a meanie. Next time, get a good friend to edit and proofread if your budget won't allow for it. Find a couple good beta readers in one of the groups here on Goodreads. Your books may earn increased loyal supporters. Best wishes.
