The first recipe I tried was the Chocolate Egg Cookies. Anyone who loves Cadbury creme eggs will love these! I made them in tandem with my daughter and we truly had fun! We laughed like hyenas as we worked (fumbled with, more like, at least on my part!) with the fondant filling! They have become one of our favorite cookies.

The second recipe we tried was S'mores Cookies. Another hit. When I make them again, I might adjust the topping ingredients a little, as we found we had too few marshmallows and too many pieces of graham crackers.

There are a couple more recipes that I would like to try, however, it had to go back to the Library to fill another person's hold. Next time.......

This was a creative twist on the usuals. I especially enjoyed the ones in which the cookie functioned like a crostini (a cookie with layers on top -- Boston Creme Pie anyone?).

A great bit of inspiration even if you tweak them for more of a flavor boost!

Overall, a very interesting baking book. I really enjoyed the take that the author went through to get these unique recipes and I look forward to trying the ones that I saved.
