Lilly Vasquez has returned home to Compass Cove after making her way in Hollywood as a hair stylist to the stars. With such a successful career, why she moved back to Long Island to open her own salon is a mystery, and Lilly’s not talking. That is until a movie shoot nearby drops the trouble she thought she left in California right into her backyard.
FBI Special Agent Jack Miller has floated in and out of Compass Cove for the last fifteen years, rarely staying in town for more than a few days because he’s so wrapped up in his work. But when a complaint about a potentially dangerous situation in town lands in his lap, Jack is gobsmacked to see the name of the woman who has occupied his thoughts for more years than he can remember, Lilly Vasquez.
With the excitement of a big family wedding, Jack has an excuse to stick close, but Lilly doesn’t appreciate the attention, especially since it stirs up a bee’s nest of long-buried feelings. Likewise, Jack is dealing with his own attraction to the fiery brunette, and it’s making him crazy. He needs to stay objective to keep Lilly safe, but his heart isn’t listening to reason. Will the long-time friends succumb to the small town magic and take the biggest risk of their lives, or will they play it safe, and miss their happily ever after?
Award-winning, USA Today bestselling author Jeannie Moon has always loved stories. The author of nineteen contemporary romances, Jeannie is married to her high school sweetheart, has three grown kids and two grandchildren, and has lived on Long Island, NY, her whole life. A retired teacher and librarian, Jeannie is also an editor and author coach with a growing freelance practice.
If she's more than ten miles away from salt water for any longer than a week, she gets twitchy.
Lilly Vasquez has returned home to Compass Cove after having a successful career in Hollywood as a hair stylist to the stars, but after a really bad relationship she needed to get a way, have a new start, a start that is put under threat comes right into her hometown. FBI Special Agent Jack Miller has floated in and out of Compass Cove for the last 15 years, when a complaint about a potentially dangerous situation in town lands in his lap, Jack is shocked to see the name of the woman he has always been drawn to and he is determined to stick close and keep harm away.
I couldn't really sink in to this, despite having enjoyed what came before.
Le sigh. Another new Jeannie Moon book, another new disappointment.
I don’t know what’s happened - a new editor? different beta readers? she’s been reading all the “popular” new adult/young adult authors? I don’t know what - but these last two books are NOT the Jeannie Moon I fell in love with while reading Then Came You (Compass Cove #1).
Lilly Vasquez returned to Compass Cove a year ago and opened her own hair salon. Everyone in town was shocked since she seemed to be living the high life in Hollywood as a stylist to the stars, with an A-List movie star boyfriend. But no one has asked, and she isn’t sharing why she moved home.
Jack Miller has spent little time in Compass Cove the past 13 years, first for college, then because of deployments for the Army, and now his job with the FBI. But with his older brother’s wedding in three weeks, a case involving Lilly has him returning home a little sooner than planned and putting him in direct contact with the woman who told him she loved him when she was just 18.
Because of last minute wedding preparations, Maid of Honor Lilly and Best Man Jack are forced to spend extra time together. Which works out well for Jack, who needs to find out exactly what happened when Lilly was in Hollywood and also keep her safe. By the time the wedding rolls around, Lilly’s secrets are out in the open, the crisis has been averted, and all's right with the world again.
What started out as a compelling backstory before Jack was deployed, quickly got dragged down in too much internal thought about how the other looked, regrets about the past, and I had a hard time believing the hero and heroine had truly been pining for each other after all this time.
When all was said and done, not much really happened. Maybe that expectation was on me, since Ms. Moon has previously written several stories where more was going on than involved just the hero and heroine. But there was scant here to keep me intrigued, and even the dialogue - which is usually a strength of this author - was just meh.
And here I go, with some uncharacteristically harsh words. Prepare for ranting...
Ms. Moon is a grown-ass woman, and previously wrote like one. But these last two books seem to have been written by a twenty-something indie author without an editor to tell her to stop using over-used, trite, and cliched phrases like “panty dropper” and “ovary popping” (neither of which seems to be a good thing to me...but I’m a late-40ish-pushing-50-something married woman with three kids, so what do I know?). These last two books feel like she’s pandering to the new adult/young adult crowd - even though her characters are NOT new adult/young adult. And I couldn’t be more disappointed because the first book in this series was SO SO GOOD and lead me to read 12 of her 18 books. I used to have confidence that she could give us a compelling storyline and not take the stereotypical routes to a happily ever after, but books two and three in the Compass Cove series have completely shaken my confidence.
I truly hope for better in the future from Ms. Moon. Will I still keep watching anxiously for her new releases? Yes. Will I still read the six books I haven’t read yet? Absolutely. But I hope she goes back to writing stories that are fresh, and original, and touch my heart - instead of making me all ranty.

Lilly and Jack gave me all the feels! Lilly is a strong woman, overcoming something traumatizing. Coming back home and leaving her life to rebuild a new one. Never did she expect Jack to come back home for his brother's wedding and all of her fantasies to come true. Not knowing the strength she had inside, Jack helps her see herself in a new light.
Jack is a protector by nature. And when he learns someone has hurt Lilly, that he will be in their town, he vows nothing will ever hurt her again. Memories from years ago plague him. Why did her ever turn her away? Too young to know what was standing right in front of him. But with them spending all their time together, passions flair and there is no doubt she has always been his woman. In his mind, in his heart. Now just to make her believe. Can these two find their way to one another like the compass has said, or will past hurts and present trials keep them apart??

Some quotes (from ARC): “The man was perfect. Absolutely perfect.” “Compass Cove was a special place.” “It was a perfectly mundane morning in Compass Cove. And it was perfect.” “«You are perfect the way you are.»”
An adolescent crush turns into mature love in “All of Me”, by Jeannie Moon (Tule Publishing), a romance novel set in a traditional small town, in the cocoon of friends, relatives and small town “good people”. I liked the closeness between Jack and Lilly, the transition from friends to lovers, and all the caressing, kissing and cuddling, showing their mutual fondness while falling love and before sex. Lilly has been smitten since she was a teen, but I didn’t really buy Lilly’s role as a beacon in Jack’s life before the story takes place. While I enjoyed the romance, I found the tendency for stressing how perfect everyone and everything is – perfect people, perfect lovers, perfect friends, perfect families and town, perfect sex – too conventional. Jack ostentatious hotness and gorgeousness is enticing, but these traits are so overstated and repeated that the handsomeness feels a bit shallow. The problem with Gio’s role in the plot was the far-fetched coincidence which brought him into Compass Cove. I enjoyed the story and it kept my interest but in the end it all felt a bit bland, Jack with his “white knight complex” and Lilly more a goddess than a “mortal woman”. I’m curious about Doug’s, Jack’s eldest brother, story.
Compass Cove has a shop with a precious historical compass that legend says will point to your true soul mate. It is a wonderful small town community where more than one couple in the series has proved the infallibility of the compass. In this book we find that once again the compass will do its job for Jack Miller and Lilly Vasquez.
Jack and Lilly have known one another for years. They spent time together as children and though Jack is older than Lilly they have always been aware of one another. When at eighteen Lilly tried to tell Jack how much she cared for him...he was not ready. Fourteen years later they are given a second chance to be together in the weeks leading up to the wedding of Jack’s brother and the woman he fell for in the delightful first book of this series, Then You Came.
Lilly, hairdresser to Hollywood stars, returned home after a rough relationship. She just wanted to get away. When the man she had trouble with comes to Compass Cover to make a movie she is on edge. When Jack’s FBI boss gives him a case to follow up on while he is home and he realizes Lilly may be at risk he is more than willing to put his all into keeping Lilly safe and solving the case. We find out that Lilly has a lot to work through and there is nobody better able to help her than Jack.
Returning to Compass Cover was a delight. I enjoyed seeing the couples from the previous two books AND finding out that perhaps Jack’s brother Doug and one of Lilly’s friends may end up together in a future book. I also enjoyed seeing other people in town interacting and LOVED the relationship that developed between Lilly and Jack. Jack was definitely one FINE man and even though it took him a long to realize Lilly was the woman for him...reading how that came about was a treat to read today.
Did I like this book? Yes Do I want to read more in this series? Yes
Friends to lovers story that takes place in one of my favorite fictional towns, Compass Cove. Lilly has always had a secret crush on Jack, she even offered her virginity to him when she was eighteen, but he turned her down. Now Lilly has returned home to open her own beauty shop and Jack has returned home for his brother's wedding and a special assignment with the FBI, protecting Lilly. Soon they can't deny their feelings but is Lilly able to trust another man?
Love this small town that gives you a real sense of community. Lilly and Jack have great chemistry, very likeable characters. It was great to catch up with previous characters. This book is part of series but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend.
All of Me (Compass Cove Book 3)by Jeannie Moon There's no place like home, and no love like his... Lilly Vasquez has returned home to Compass Cove after making her way in Hollywood as a hair stylist to the stars. With such a successful career, why she moved back to Long Island to open her own salon is a mystery, and Lilly's not talking. That is until a movie shoot nearby drops the trouble she thought she left in California right into her backyard. Will the long-time friends succumb to the small town magic and take the biggest risk of their lives? Or will they play it safe, and miss their happily ever after? This is Lilly Vasquez and Jack Miller's story. As days went, this one needed a complete do-over. As Lilly Vasquez made her way through her salon, closing up for the night, she wondered what had made her think she could run her own business. Today had brought her a vendor that failed to send her order, a very unhappy customer—who was angry the stylist actually cut her hair short, when that’s what she’d asked for—and her top colorist quit to take a position in a big salon in New York. The woman was superbly talented and deserved every opportunity, but Lilly wished she could tell her colorist the glamour she was looking for in the fancy salon in the big city wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. “Don’t be angry. You’re a great girl, Lilly, but you don’t want me.” Now he was telling her what she did and didn’t want. God, she wanted to tell him where to put his know-it-all attitude. He’d put himself between her and the door, intent on getting her to agree with him before he’d let her go. “Jack, I’m leaving.” All of Me (Compass Cove Book 3)by Jeannie Moon is a 3 star book. All of Me is the third book in Jeannie Moon’s Compass Cove series and is a “second chance” at love story. Right out of high school, Lilly Vasquez professed her love to Jack Miller; Jack dismissed Lilly’s declaration as that of a crush by his younger sister’s friend. They parted ways for fifteen years, but are now forced to face each other as they are in his brother’s and her best friend’s wedding. Jack, now an FBI agent, is there to not only have fun and visit with his family but to protect Lilly as her past comes back to haunt her.
I love the small town of Compass Cove. From the very beginning, I was drawn into Jack and Lilly’s story. The easy-going dialogue and back and forth between the characters made me feel like I was one of their friends right there with them. I had a little chuckle when Jack’s friend Jordan tells him that, “Me think he doth protest too much” to which Jack replies, “I’m not doth doing anything. Stop throwing around the Shakespeare. I’m just a cop in a suit.” when trying to deny that he has feelings for Lilly.
Ms. Moon always paints such a beautiful story. Her descriptions when Jack and Lilly were out sailing had me closing my eyes and feeling the peace out at sea. I too heard the waves and felt the wind. Jack’s thought of “If you let it, the wind and the sea could take whatever was ailing you, and just whisk it away.” For many, water is relaxing and healing which helps let one forget about their troubles for a while.
I really enjoy Jeannie Moon’s books, but I must say that I felt that it ended without complete resolution. Lilly may have gotten her closure and “happy ever after”, but I felt I was left hanging. I wanted Lilly to have the knowledge that her bravery had a finality to it. I know I can imagine it, but I wanted to see and feel Lilly’s victory.
I am looking forward to book four in the series. Compass Cove has a legend that whoever holds the compass that belonged to the founders of the town will find their true love. The needle on the compass will point to that individual's “true north”. I can’t wait to see who the compass chooses as its next soul mate couple.
I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy in exchange for an honest review that is my own.
We first encountered a younger Lilly and Jack in the first story in this series, THEN CAME YOU. At that time my heart ached for Lilly since she was so certain that Jack was her special one, even if he was a bit older. His rejection hurt badly, and perhaps lead her to make different choices which backfired big time.
In the latest story in the Compass Cove series brings Lilly and Jack together once again, older, maybe wiser, and this time ready to let the attraction between them take control. Jack may try to stay professional, to keep his distance but he knows it’s a losing battle with himself. Lilly is in serious danger and he won’t let anything happen to the woman he’s come to love. My heart ached for the younger Lilly, I was ready to champion and defend the now older Lilly. She’s been through a lot, she’s changed some but in her heart, she still thinks Jack is her special one – even if she’s fighting that attraction that simply will not go away. Now in spite of her past making an unwanted appearance in Compas Cove, she’s falling for the man who she’s always loved but now sees on a different level. Maturity will do that, let us see what we ignored in our youth.
I enjoyed Jack and Lilly’s romance. Friends to lovers is a favorite trope for me, but seeing a young crush turn into real love with maturity and respect has to touch my emotions – for don’t we all wish some of those younger crushes of ours might have turned out differently? We get the chance to catch up with old friends and perhaps get a taste of what may soon come to Compas Cove. I had a blast with ALL OF ME, and if you enjoy a good romance, believable characters, a bit of mystery and two people finally discovering that happy ever after does exist, then you’ll want to pick this one up. I’d not hesitate to recommend ALL OF ME or any of the stories in this series.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
I really enjoyed this book, my first by Jeannie Moon. She's been on my TBR pile for a while now and I should have got around to reading more of her books before now as I loved this one, it reminded me of the style of Jill Shalvis, one of my favourite authors, and I'm definitely going back for a return visit to Compass Cove to read the two previous books in this series now.
Lilly is a hairdresser who owns her own successful salon in Compass Cove. She used to be a hairdresser on movie sets but after a bad-break up with a nasty film-star she was dating she fled home to Compass Cove and put the Hollywood lifestyle behind her. She didn't tell any of her friends the extent of his abuse as she wanted to put it behind her and felt as if people would blame her for not leaving sooner. But then a movie starts filming nearby and Gio, the nasty ex is the star and in Lilly's town. So Lilly lodges her concerns with the local police, as she had a restraining order on him before, just in case he tried anything.
Then Jack (FBI Agent), an old crush of Lilly's, returns home for his brother's wedding, but is also checking out Lilly's concerns as it crosses police boundaries, and so finds out the whole file on what happened. Lilly has loved Jack forever, but he rejected her when she was 18 and they've always circled each other since then. Their friends and family are very close though so they've bumped into each other over the years at various gatherings.
There are some great characters in this book (loved the grannies!) and although there are two previous books in the series it doesn't really detract from this story, it just makes me want to go back and find out Adam & Mia and Nick & Jordan's stories. I really enjoyed the style of writing, very easy-reading, I read most of it in one day sitting in the garden! Very enjoyable and highly recommended.
Author Jeannie Moon has another winner with her latest release, All of Me. This is the third book from the Compass Cove series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. This is a wonderful group of books that you should definitely add to your TBR list.
Lilly Vasquez loved being a Hollywood hairstylist. She was well-liked and her talent was recognized by the big filmmakers. Her romantic relationship with a major movie star was all over tabloids, and she felt everything was perfect, until it all went horribly wrong. Lilly moved back home to Compass Cove, a small coastal town on Long Island. Opening her own salon while being near her family and friends brought a slice of peace back into her life. Then her teenage crush, FBI agent Jack Miller, roars back into her life, and helps her cope with the past. The kiss they shared 15 years ago seems like it was just yesterday.
Jack is a workaholic and has witnessed many horrors as a public servant. He plans on being in town for only a short time to attend his brother's wedding. Then he runs into Lilly, and she turns his life upside down. Jack has read Lilly's file and knows that her ex was a complete sociopath. As a result, he sticks to her like glue. Their time together rekindles old feelings and evolves into much more.
All of Me is a quick-paced read with well-defined and interesting characters. I loved the way Ms. Moon evolved Lilly and Jack's relationship, with discovery, understanding, and tons of heat. Their respective grandmothers add a lot of fun to the seriousness of the plot. If you are looking for a contemporary romance with some surprising moments, an engaging plot, and a happily ever after that will leave a smile on your face, get yourself a copy of this book.

All Of Me, by Jeannie Moon, is book #3 in her iconic Compass Cove series. Lilly Vasquez owns a very small, but chic salon in Compass Cove. She was a success among the rich and famous in Los Angeles, but abruptly came home to open her business. She’s shocked to learn from an old co-worker that her ex-lover will be filming in Compass Cove. He’s a famous leading man. He’s also a manipulative and physically abusive person. Lilly had reported him in LA, but his famous status worked in his favor. Now, she goes to the Compass Cove police for protection, but they refer it to the FBI, since multiple states are involved. No one knows Lilly’s secret. She’s too embarrassed to rely on friends and family.
Unbeknownst to the FBI, the agent they give the case to is Lilly’s lifelong friend, Jack Miller. Lilly and Jack have a history, including her declaring her love the night before he went into the Army. Jack isn’t going to let anyone hurt Lilly, if she’ll let him. Lilly has a seriously independent streak, that runs deep to her core. Despite the years away from each other, they fall back into caring for each other. Jack’s brother Adam and Lilly’s friend Mia are getting married, so things seem normal when Lilly and Jack are working together on wedding details. That’s not all that they’re working on! Their old love returns in full force!
Will Lilly let her friends and family into all of her life? Will Lilly let her and Jack claim their destiny? Will Jack be able to protect Lilly? Will Jack correct past errors and complete a case(s) against Lilly’s abuser? Will the Compass Cove compass find two True North lovers again? Jeannie Moon, in three stories, have given the readers a gift to rival River’s Edge, or Marietta. That’s incredibly high praise. I hope that I will read and review 100 more Compass Cove books!
I discovered and fell in love with this author’s work when I read book one in the series. Each story has been wonderful and this one was no exception. We are back in Compass Cove, where the legend promises that the Jenning’s compass will stop spinning when it points to your true love. This story belongs to another Miller sibling, FBI agent Jack Miller and Lilly Vazquez. No one knows why Lilly returned home and opened a hair salon, when she was doing so well in LA as a hair stylist for the stars. She’s kept a secret that changed her forever and it’s effect might never be overcome. Jack is back in town for his brother’s wedding and he still has feelings for the young girl he turned away fourteen years ago. As secrets are revealed and feelings between the two develop, Lilly’s world is once again shaken up. Will she be able to deal with her “enemy” and fears? Will Jack and Lilly miss their chance of love because of words spoken in anger? At times heartbreaking and at others heartwarming , it’s also a story about domestic abuse and the long term effects it has on the victim. Feelings of worthlessness , terror and shame are hard to overcome, especially when dealing with them alone. But family, friends and that special person that loves and support you, can conquer all. Another wonderful book in the series. Hoping that future stories revolve around Natalie, Doug and Luca. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
All Of Me is the third book in author Jeannie Moon’s Compass Cove series and just like the first two it has a heavy emphasis on the importance of family and friends. I love the setting in the small Long Island village of Compass Cove. This is a part of the world that Jeannie Moon clearly knows well and she brings the setting to life effortlessly. Lily Vasquez has returned to Compass Cove and set up a heir salon and day spa business there after getting out of an abusive relationship in California. She’s mentally scarred but puts on a brave and friendly face to her family and friends until Gio Graham, the movie star who abused her, comes to town to film his latest movie. Enter FBI agent Jack Miller, also from a Compass Cove family and Lilly’s high school crush. Assigned to protect Lilly, Jack quickly discovers that Gio Graham is not the charming man he appears to be outwardly. He also discovers that the strong attraction he and Lilly shared when they were younger is just as strong now. This is a heartwarming friends to lovers story highlighting the struggle Lilly has to learn to trust and to see herself as the strong woman she once was rather than the victim Graham made her. There are so many core values that shine through in this story, from the support of those who love you in times of need to the genuine friendship between Lilly’s and Jack’s grandmothers despite one having worked for years as chef to the other for years. I always love reading Jeannie Moon’s books and this one is definitely one I’ll look forward to reading again.
WOW!! I loved, loved, loved revisiting Compass Cove with Lilly and Jack in All of You by Jeannie Moon, book three in her Compass Cove series. Once again she made me fall in love with her hero and heroine, Jack and Lilly, not that it was difficult to do. Lilly’s return to Compass Cove has an air of mystery as why she left California and her successful career as hair stylist to the stars. Jack is an FBI special agent who is rarely in Compass Cove because of his dedication to his job. While he has returned for Best Man duties for his brother’s wedding he was also tasked with one more case; a case that involves Lilly.
There is definitely magic in the town of Compass Cove, magic that helps Lilly and Jack rediscover the love they once hid from each other. The magic and love would also help Lilly heal her heart and regain trust in men. There is also the love and support of family, reminding Lilly and Jack of promises they made to marry when they were children. Lilly was the yin to Jack’s yang, sun to his moon, and sail for his boat. They would not be able to outrun fate, no matter how many mistakes they make.
Ms. Moon wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Lilly and Jack a chance at true love and having a future together. I highly recommend All of Me to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book via Cocktails and Books and Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
Jeannie Moon knows how to write heartwarming romances and I love everything she writes. This is second chance at love story with a hot alpha FBI agent and a strong independent woman.
Compass Cove is a small town where Lily and Jack both spent their childhoods. Growing up, Lily had a crush on Jack but he never seemed to notice her. Years later, Lily decides to return to Compass Cove to get away from an abusive ex. Lily is happy with her new life in Compass Cove and she now owns a successful hair salon. Unfortunately, her world is shaken when she learns her ex will be coming to town to film his latest movie. Lily worries about running into him because she doesn’t trust him and no one believed her accusations against him.
Jack and Lily are thrown together again when Jack, a former military man and now an FBI agent, is assigned to Lily’s case. Jack has always secretly had a crush on Lily. Years ago, she was too young and she was also his best friends little sister, so he had to keep away from her. Now, there is nothing to keep them apart.
I enjoyed all the characters living in Compass Cove, especially Jack and Lily. Jack and Lily have a wonderful group of friends and after living away from Compass Cove, they realize how much they missed the people and the town. I enjoyed this sweet small town romance.
Old friends, Lilly Vasquez and Jack Miller, are reunited when Lilly returns to her hometown of Compass Cove and Jack takes on the job of protecting Lilly from her abusive ex.
Eighteen years ago, Lilly confessed her love for Jack, but Jack turned her away. Lilly never got over the rejection. She moved to LA where she became a stylist to the stars and eventually ended up in a relationship with a well-known actor. When the relationship turned abusive and Lilly couldn't take it anymore, she went back home.
FBI agent, Jack didn’t plan on settling down. With a job that had him traveling all the time, a wife and family didn’t fit that lifestyle. But when he takes on the job of protecting Lilly, everything changes. He has finally fallen in love and will do anything to keep Lilly safe and start a new life with her.
I really liked the previous Compass Cove books, so I couldn’t wait to read this book. Lilly is a character that I could easily relate to. She got taken advantage of and in a situation that got out of control. She found the strength to leave and take her life back. With the help of her friends and family, Lilly was able to feel safe again and start her life over. It was fun seeing her and Jack finally get together. The story flowed easily. The plot was well written and all of the characters fit well within the story.
All of Me is part of the amazing small town series of Compass Cove by Jeannie Moon I love the legend of the compass, the small town and the people who live there. This is an excellent addition to the series but beware it does have some serious issues at the heart of it. Lilly Vasquez returned home and start her own salon a year old as the story begins. No one knows why she left a successful business and glamour of LA. Right there I knew something bad had happened. I don’t think what happened bothered me as much as the fact that one FBI agent didn’t believe her but said she might be a crazy woman. Thank good for FBI Special Agent Jack Miller who knew better even when the statement was made to him.
This second chance story has heart, a survivor who has become stronger and more compassionate, and a man who falls helpless in love with her. It also has a villain, one of the worst because he believes he can do no wrong. I can say that this is a page-turner, which makes it so much more than just a small-town romance. Compelling read that feels totally believable.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is Jack and Lilly's story, and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, poor editing kept pulling me out of the story. The book lacks the character development and flow of the first book in the series, Then Came You. I kept tripping over dangling participles, like this one: "...group of four people sat at the table next to theirs. Tanned and casually chic, Lilly would bet the store that they were from the film crew." Though not as pervasive as the misplaced modifiers, there were also copy edit problems, like this: “Let us help, you Lilliana.” OK, so I laughed out loud and startled my dachshunds when I bumped into that one, but that wasn't the mood of the moment in the story. Get with the program, you Lilliana, you.
Compared to Then Came You, it's obvious this book had a different editor. That's a shame, and I regret buying it.
Return to Compass Cove and all the fun and interesting characters that inhabit the town. After a successful career in Hollywood, Lilly Vasquez returned home and opened her own salon, but she has never told anyone why she returned, so when a movie starts shooting scenes at the local college, she has to come to terms with her past. Jack Miller returns to town for his brother’s wedding and attaches himself to Lilly’s side to “help” with the wedding plans. He has an ulterior motive: Lilly’s complaint has caught the FBI’s attention and Jack knows there is more to the story than is in the reports. Lilly can’t believe that her first love is back, and just won’t leave her be. Moon weaves a tale of first love turning into adult love with the realities of recovering from physical and emotional abuse. Moon writes with a deft hand to balance humor and the seriousness of abuse. I absolutely love the “Grannies” and their antics. This was a quick, enjoyable read that had me alternating between laughter and a few tears. #CompassCove #AllofMe #JeannieMoon
A great romance, to me, is one that will make me laugh and cry. It’s one where I connect and enjoy not only the main characters but also the setting and secondary characters. All Of Me hit all those criteria. Lily and Jack’s friends to lovers relationship was written so beautifully. Jack really sees into the heart of Lily, which is not something Lily is very comfortable with, considering that she’s been hiding her feelings and the real reasons behind her breakup with her ex. Yes, he does have a bit of professional insight to her past. But Lily has done a great job of putting a smile on her face and hiding her pain. While part of the Compass Cover series, All Of Me can be read and enjoyed alone. Great secondary characters and a small town setting I’d love to visit, I recommend this 5 star read.
This is a serious look at the after effects of physical and mental abuse that tempers the life of Lilly Vasquez. She was a well sought after movie stylist who abruptly left that life after an ugly break up with star Gio Graham. She returned to her home in Compass Cove to start over but the trauma lingers on. Unfortunately, her abusive ex is in town filming and Lilly is terrified to see him. Jack Miller, FBI agent is also in town for a family wedding. He and Lilly always connected when they were teens and he is there to watch over her and protect her from Gio. Jack is gentle, non-demanding and falling for Lilly. He begins to crack her defenses and the wall around her. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
All of Me is the third book in Jeannie Moon’s Compass Cove series. I enjoyed watching Lily and Jack reconnect after a lengthy time apart. Both have had experiences that have altered their lives through the years. Jack was in the military and now is a member of the FBI while Lily became a hairdresser and lived amongst the royals of Hollywood.
When they reconnect, we discover that Lily has run away from an abusive relationship that has changed her. When her past comes back to haunt her, Jack steps in and protects her from her evil past.
I loved watching them grow and find themselves. It was a refreshing read that I recommend. I received an advance copy of All of Me and chose to read and review it. This is my honest review.
This was not as good as the first too, but I still enjoyed it.
Lilly always knew she was meant for Jack and in his own way Jack new it too. He didn’t do anything about it because of the age difference & he was her brothers best friend.
Lilly went on to become the hairstylist to the stars and she left to return home after a horrible breakup with her A lister movie star boyfriend.
Her peace is disrupted when a movie filming comes to town and her ex is wading man. When she goes to the cops to report a possible issue with him being in town, it goes to the FBI since it is an issue that has crossed state lines.
FBI agent Jack is determined to protect her at all costs and they ended up bringing up all the old feelings between the two.
Another Compass Cove hit by Jeannie Moon. Love this then and the people. Lily and Jack have a strong friendship cultivated in childhood, but they loose touch when feelings are exposed and rejected at a young age. Growing in two different directions, both Lily and Jack have some great life experiences that have changed them and made them different people. Both are now back home. Lily lives in Compass Cove and Jack is back for his brother's wedding. Others are in town that are a threat to Lily and Jack will give his all to protect her. Lily and Jack are great for one another, now convince them to give in the their strong attraction and they'll see they are meant to be.
Lilly has always had a crush on Jack, and when he comes back home to be best man for his brother’s wedding he also comes back in an official capacity for the FBI. Lilly is terrified of her former boyfriend who abused her physically and emotionally because he’s coming to town to film a movie. While no one believed her before, Jack is not going to let anything happen to her. I could not put this romance down because not only are Jack and Lilly terrific, but the suspense of what will happen keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another hit Jeannie Moon!
I loved returning to Compass Cove and seeing Lilly come back home. She left home years earlier, after confessing her feelings to Jack & being turned down. She became a hair stylist to the stars in Hollywood but after some trouble with an ex she decided to open a salon in Compass Cove. She thought she was doing well until trouble, in the form of her ex showed up. Jack now works as an FBI agent & realizes he has feelings for Lilly so he decides to stick close to her for protection. He has to work hard to show her how he feels about her as well as seeing to her safety.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jack & Lilly's love story. The way the author develops the characters allows the reader to truly get to know them as if they're personal friends. I also really enjoy how the author references the characters from the first two books in the Compass Cove series. If you haven't read the first books in the series, then I suggest you start there. Fingers crossed for a Compass Cove #4!
Additionally, if you're a fan of the The Heartbreaker Bay series by Jill Shalvis, then this is the trilogy for you!
