Following an earthquake,, tourists have begun to disappear in the Lorenzo Caverns. The FBI claims that a bear is the culprit, but the local sheriff and an esteemed archeologist suspect that the missing people have become the victims of a bloodthirsty alien creature.

His memoir, MY FORTY-FIVE YEARS IN HOLLYWOOD...AND HOW I ESCAPED ALIVE, was published in 2010.
The story takes place in Quantrill, VA where the main attraction are the caves and their caverns. Pam, who is a tour guide is taking a group of people through when an earthquake hits and a lady goes missing. Dave, the local sheriff ( who is Pam’s love interest) and the FBI gets involved. Their “research” leads them to believe a bear is on the loose and killed her. Later on as Pam is leading the agents in the caverns she is trapped by a shapeless black mass, rather jelly like in appearance. The agents believing they killed the blob, gives okay for the tours to start again. As Pam is leading the tour group, two tentacles reach up and pulls down a part of the bridge, bringing down a few of the tourist, after the blob dines on the tourist, he comes back blocking the group from escaping. It is an oval shaped thing with pink glowing eyes, razor sharp teeth, and when wounded squirts pink liquid. How the alien creature meets his end, ( that is if it really did) you have to read for yourself. This is a novel of terror and has some horrifying scenes so if you aren’t squeamish, have had it.
Excellent Fodder For Fans of the Subterranean Genre
An alien beast trapped in a cave wakens from its hibernation when the cave is opened to tourists as a national park. The action is quick and the monster is relentless, something of a dry land octopus but with a hunger for people.
I greatly enjoyed this story and I hope a movie agent snaps it up quickly. This would be a fun story to see on the Big Screen.
