Sometimes real desires can be too hard to refuse...
"Noah... He's young. He's blond. He's tan with muscles that were chiseled from bronze. A smile that would make a woman melt. And his eyes... You could get lost in his blue eyes. Every woman in this city would gawk at him if he walked by. Not me though. A woman like me has no business with a man like him. Maybe if this were college, things would be different. But now? No. The past should stay in the past. So, why can't I stop thinking about him? His bare skin against mine... His hard muscles... His strong and comforting embrace... Are these real feelings I have for him or are these just desires I have from a past I left behind? All I've found in this city is trouble. Noah might be the man who's going to save me from my troubles. Or he might be more trouble than anything else..."
After 20 years living abroad, Sheila returns home. The social worker has her hands full and nothing seems to be going right for her. Everything changes late one night when she meets Noah. Do They Stand A Chance Of Love? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book that I've read by Rhea Wilde but I was very pleasantly surprised and will be looking for more of her stories as this one was so good. This is the story of Sheila and Noah. She is a social worker about 38 years old and she returns home after about 20 years living abroad. She has suffered a lost love and is trying to overcome her feelings about it. One night she goes out and when returning home she is attacked by thugs, dragged into an alleyway and they try to rape her. But she is saved by Noah, a 21 year old mechanic who is like a Greek god and with amazing blue eyes, hears her shouts and runs to help her. He takes her to his home and the attraction between them is very apparent but they do nothing about it. She goes to his place of work the next day and he invites her out, she is reluctant because of their age difference but he doesn't care and she agrees. They go back to his flat and one thing leads to another and they end up in bed having passionate, steamy and hot sex. But there are so many differences between them, how can they have a relationship? I did like the writing style of Rhea and the storyline. It's not very often that you read of a much older woman with a younger man and whether any relationship between them will be possible and lasting. I enjoyed this book and encourage you to give this a try too as it was so well written and keeps up a good pace but be warned that a fan may be needed! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

This is my first Rhea Wilde book and I've not been disappointed, this story has held my interest so much that I went from just going to read a few chapters before bed to finishing the whole thing in one sitting and am now yawning and very tired as I write this review, plus my hubby had to say goodnight apprantly quite a few times before I acknowledged him - oops!
I thought I knew what was going to happen from the blerb, then I thought I knew what was going to happen after a few chapters...so much takes place in this story that it could so be developed for a TV series! There might be a lot taking place but there's a balance to it, just enough information to move the story along without overshadowing anything else happening in the book. It's well written, engaging, has good characters, an interesting romance with twist and turns, and I loved it.
True Desires is an entertaining and compelling read. Packed with emotional intensity and turmoil this book is an older woman/younger man romance. When Sheila returns from twenty years of living abroad she is shaken to the core by her attraction and desire for Noah because he is much younger than her. While being torn between what she thinks is right and what her heart wants she must also deal with the heartbreak she suffered years ago. Can Sheila let go of the past, realize age is just a number and embrace the love that's right there waiting for her? Grab a copy of this book to find out. I'm posting this voluntary review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
This is an older woman, younger man romance featuring Sheila and Noah. Love has a way of showing up when we least expect it and have no way of controlling it. When Noah came into Sheila's life, the attraction was there and there was no way either could deny it. A well written story with lots of emotion and passion. Well defined characters and an engaging storyline. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Extremely captivating and very interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Exclusive Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Okay book. Could have used a little more work on the writing on the characters. They felt hollow somehow. I didn't really connect with them the way I could've. But over all it was worth reading.
