Katie Reus® is the USA Today bestselling author of the Endgame trilogy, the MacArthur Family series and the Deadly Ops series. She fell in love with romance at a young age thanks to books she pilfered from her mom's stash. Years later she loves reading romance almost as much as she loves writing it. However, she didn't always know she wanted to be a writer. After changing majors many times, she finally graduated with a degree in psychology. Not long after that she discovered a new love. Writing. She now spends her days writing paranormal romance and sexy romantic suspense.
Okay...so, I feel awful for giving up on this for a couple reasons...
1) I received this as an ARC...so I can probably say goodbye to future ARCs from this publisher. 2) I love Katie Reus. Her Darkness series rocks my fucking world.
But alas, I am nothing if not always 100% honest...
And I just can't get into this series. I DNF'd book one of this too. I had hoped it was an anomaly...but obviously not.
I guess this series just isn't for me...and I can't put my finger on why. It's a great plot with great writing. It just isn't doing it for me for some reason.
Thus, at the end of the day, regardless of this being an ARC - and my probable future placement on the "Do Not Serve" list from this publisher - I just have way too much going on right now IRL and WAY too many other books to read for me to continue reading something that I am viewing as chore instead of a pleasure.
I definitely think others will love this series though - I am SHOCKED didn't.
The second book in Katie Reus' Redemption Harbor series brings us a fast-paced romantic suspense centralising around former marine, Zac Savage and single mum with an aptitude for cracking safes, Olivia Carter.
This couple are pretty quick off the mark in falling for one another and falling hard, yet at the same time take their time in crossing the line treating us to plenty of build-up. However considering Zac doesnt give his heart away easily, Olivia has her little girl to consider and they're in the thick of things having gone undercover when Olivia's past rears its head, it worked well and they were great together.
"I am an asshole sometimes. Maybe a lot of times. But not to you. Never to you."
Add in the fact that you have a man who is the epitome of a protector yet is reduced to a big softy in the presence of a very cute six year-old and a determined lady who can hold her own but isn't too proud to ask for help when she needs it, and this really does hit the spot of what I want in a romantic suspense. Can't wait to discover what Katie has planned for the rest of the guys.
"You’re the most incredible woman I’ve ever met, Whatever happens, I want you to know that."

We return to Redemption Harbor for the second book in Katie Reus’ new Romantic Suspense series. Savage Rising gives us Olivia Carter’s story, oh and let’s not forget the delectably broody Zac Savage.
I am pretty sure I have said it before, and I’ll likely say it again, no one writes RS like Katie Reus, she equally nails it in the PNR genre as well, but as a reader I just know that when I sit down with one of her books (whatever the genre), it’s going to be well written, the plot and characters engaging, the sexy-times diverse and in general it will be a wholly enjoyable reading experience.
"After this job I’m not walking away from you…"
Zac and Olivia’s story was all that, and the added fact of Olivia being a single mother just added even more depth. I mean who doesn’t love a growly alpha turning into a teddy-bear when a cute little girl is added into the story. The chemistry between them was off the charts from the get-go, and I liked the little bit of uncertainty between them as to whether their feelings were true, due to the fact they were acting as a couple in the undercover type job they were undertaking.
"You don’t get to keep me at a distance anymore. We’ve seen each other naked and I’ve made you come multiple times."
Another thing that I am really liking is the fact these books are told from multiple POVs so you are getting to know more than just the main characters, and keeping up to date with previous couples as well. Savage Rising, could be read as a standalone, but I think to enjoy it fully, and the series in general you would be better off reading the books in succession. The author has set up a team of people, and you get to know a little about all of them as the main stories progress.
She looked like the kind of woman a man wanted to protect, keep safe… Something told him it was all an illusion.
Another outstanding addition to the series, the author yet again managed to weave romance, in with the action and adventure seamlessly, and I cannot wait for the next book to hit my kindle.
ARC generously provided by the author, and it was as it always is an absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review.
Savage Rising is book two in the Redemption Harbor series and can be read as a standalone. The story is fast-paced and action-packed and the characters are intense and interesting. Zac Savage and Olivia Carter have incredible chemistry and Savage is seriously hot. I love this series!
* I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! Just wow! This book was one high octane read! It starts off fast and furious and it doesn’t slow down.
Olivia is being threatened and manipulated into doing a job that could land her in jail and losing her daughter. In an attempt at safety she flees to Redemption to seek the help of her best friend. She finds assistance there and along with it Zac Savage. Together they enter into a world of high tech extractions and acquisitions. In other words, they’re going to make a heist.
I loved Olivia. Her sole purpose in life is to protect and nurture her daughter. She’s made some poor decisions in her past but she’s put them behind her and dedicates herself to raising her child. Zac is another of this author’s incredible alpha heroes. From the moment he meets Olivia, after she gives him what for regarding an idiotic remark he made, he goes into protective mode.
This book was a great read filled with so much intensity and suspense that I don’t have a fingernail left! No one does drama, suspense and hot romance like Katie Reus and I’m loving everything about this series!
This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley
Dual POV Safe – some OM drama with h’s ex but he doesn’t come between this couple No apparent triggers Epilogue – just a few months into the future but it was satisfying
I love it when a baddie turns good, even more so when it's the heroine! I really liked both Olivia and Savage, and when Savage went into protect at all costs alpha mode ... be still my beating heart.
For me, Resurrection was the better of the two books for me, I absolutely loved that one.
Although a bit slow to start, this is still a highly enjoyable read. It had insta-love, action, suspense, heat and an adorable happy ending. And its Katie Reus so of course there's a crazy amount of heat too :)
In the newest edition to the Redemption Harbor series, we meet Olivia and her daughter, Valencia, who showed up last minute in book one with danger trailing in their wake.
In her younger years, Olivia used her privileged upbringing and education to stage some heists and cons with her then, boyfriend Heath. But when Valencia came into her life, Olivia put all that behind her and vowed to be the best mother to her baby, that she could be. Now, six years later, an old acquaintance offers her a job Olivia has no intention of taking.
When her daughter's life is threatened, Olivia runs to Skye, her old college friend, knowing Skye can help or get her in contact with those who can. Lucky for her, Skye doesn't only help but she has the means to bury her past and get her out of this pickle she's in, once and for all.
Posing undercover to flush the baddies out, Olivia is teamed up with Zac Savage. A man with his own dark past and a surprising capacity to love the right woman.
Zac and Olivia were a great couple, the unique dynamic from Olivia's daughter, Valencia, was eye opening and endearing. I loved seeing the rest of the crew but I admit, Skye and Colt are still my favorite couple. Maybe because the emotional intensity was so much more pronounced? idk but I still love this series so far and I'm dying to know what's up with Gage and the new girl and Brooks and his mystery lady.
Sophie Eastlake is one of my favorite narrators and she really gives this series an energy that is befitting such incredible writing. This audiobook doesn’t necessarily follow book 1 but I encourage everyone to read the series in order because it will give the reader a sense of the players and their history.
Zac Savage is a former marine working special contracts when he is tasked to play pretend boyfriend to Olivia Carter, who is being blackmailed to do a theft job. Olivia has a daughter Valencia and so Olivia is afraid that they will harm her little girl. Desperation leads her to take her daughter for safe keeping to her friend Skye who lives in Redemption Harbor. Skye hooks her up with a plan that will not only get the blackmailer off her back but ensure that Skye’s past as a white-collar thief will remain hidden. The problem is that Savage and Olivia’s fake relationship was starting to get real since they were attracted to each other. How can they ensure the success of their mission especially when Valencia’s father, Olivia’s ex, shows up?
This book definitely didn’t suffer from the sophomore jinx. I listened to the audiobook in one sitting. The plot was engaging and fast paced. The writing and characters were developed well. I was glued to the action and couldn’t wait to see how Savage and Olivia would pull it off. I found their chemistry to be authentic and I loved their energy. The story was entertaining and I love books with happy endings. This series is going on my auto-buy list.
He’s a former Marine, her new fake boyfriend, and the only way to escape her dangerous past...
Savage Rising is such a good read. The storyline was entertaining, the drama excellently done and characters that you can't help but fall in love with. I love how Katie Reus captures your mind and heart with her words. Every page has something that keeps you turning the pages, you can't stop yourself from wanting to know what will happen next.
The Redemption Harbor series is a must read. Excellent writing, entertaining storylines and characters you can't get enough of. Each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.
Katie Reus is the Queen of romantic Suspense! She does such a good job of filling a story so full of exciting action and suspense without sacrificing the romance of the main couple. Even having a Hero who starts out in denial about his feelings for the heroine shows more romance than you can find in some books.
I love KR's Alphas. They have the protective caveman gene down pat and I love every single one she creates. Her heroines are not those silly "yes please" little girls. Her heroines are woman who know their own strength and use it. Savage and Olivia isn't disappoint. Add in an adorable little girl to the mix allowing us to see what savage will be like as a father and this book scored!
I don't think I could say enough about this new series. I really love that we have a group of people that are part of every book. We get to see the couple from book one and all the potential Hero's who will be in the coming books in the series. I can't wait for book 3! ARC provided by NetGalley.
In Savage Rising we meet Zac Savage, Olivia Carter, and Olivia’s adorable daughter Valencia. Olivia is a college friend of Skye’s (from Resurrection, book #1) who finds herself being blackmailed by a former partner in crime....literally. In Olivia’s younger years she did some illegal things, now her past has come back to haunt her. Naturally Olivia flee’s to her old friend for help and to keep her daughter safe.
The chemistry between Savage and Olivia is instant, so when Savage goes undercover as Olivia’s overprotective boyfriend to the man blackmailing her it wasn’t to hard to pretend to be into her and her to him. Naturally their plans get derailed and it’s up to Savage and the rest of the team to keep her safe from additional threats.
I loved cute little Valencia, Savage didn’t just fall in love with Olivia, he turned into a big softie and fell just as hard for Valencia. Looking forward to Brooks book next Dangerous Witness.
Just look at that cover, folks. Doesn’t it just seem to scream, “Hold it right there, and read this book!” OK, maybe not. Likely more like, “Stick ‘em up. Hands where I can see ‘em!” Well, you might want to consider having those hands holding a copy of this new release by Katie Reus. Though not nearly as heart pounding as book 1, Resurrection, because really how you can you ever top coming back from the dead, as usual Ms. Reus does gives us a likeable main couple you will want to see get their HEA.
Olivia was a former Mission Impossible type criminal who has turned her life around thanks to motherhood six years ago. Unfortunately, she was so good at what she did the bad guys don’t want her to retire. Her nemesis comes charging back into her life bringing memories and baggage she had hoped to forget, including her deceitful, waste of perfectly good air ex-husband. She’s forced to step back into a role she now detests in order to save someone she loves.
Zac Savage is brought in to help her get out of this complicated mess. What he didn’t count on was this master thief and her little girl stealing his heart in the process.
With their posse of friends, who have sets of skills and technology to back them up, this main couple play the player and not surprisingly outwit the evil villians. It is done in such a strategical, precise, well executed manner even Liam Neeson would surely pat them all on the back and say, “Well done, my friends, well done indeed.”
Since action and drama take center stage, there isn’t a whole lot of alone time for steamy moments, but a few very graphic ones are definitely worked in that will get your blood pressure rising. But nothing compared to Zac Savage rising to the occasion to put a stop to any and all threats that threaten Olivia and her young deaf daughter. Everything does taper off, and, though romantic in nature, the actual ending felt a little drawn out and somewhat sappy. I just expected a more original proposal coming from this guy. Maybe that's just me, folks. I'm more into a dramatic conclusion finale and not so much long epilogues.
Title: Savage Rising, Series: Redemption Harbor (Book 2), Author: Katie Reus, Pages: 250, stand-alone but part of a series, no cheating, no OW/OM drama, no love triangle, romance safe, former one night stand only hero who comes to his senses, some violence, a few very graphic steamy scenes, ex-husband cameos, scene where heroine is beaten. RATING: 3.5 stars
Book 1 - Resurrection (Skye & Colt), Pages: 250, 7/11/17 My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Book 2 - Savage Rising (Olivia & Savage), Pages: 250, 9/26/17 Book 3 - To be announced
(I received a free advanced reader copy provided via NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. No type of compensation was given to this reviewer. There is no relationship/affiliation between the reviewer and the author/publisher/NetGalley.)
I loved the first book in the series. This one was a bit of a let down. Just not nearly as much chemistry. I liked Zac and Olivia, but the story was just not that interesting/exciting to me. Not enough kid time with Zac. Here's hoping book 3 is better!
3.5 to 4 stars Olivia Carter and her daughter have come to Redemption Harbor in need of help. Her past is coming back to haunt her and those she cares about are in danger. Fortunately her friend, Skye is part of a security agency there and can provide assistance. Olivia has made mistakes in the past but has already had repercussions from them, and just wants to be a good mother and provide them with a safe life.
Zac Savage is former Marine and CIA contractor who is now working with his friends at the new agency. He is brawny, sexy, bossy, and closed off. He has always felt somewhat isolated and undeserving. He never planned on being interested in anyone for more than a one-night-stand. But something about Olivia compels him. He finds he is not only playing the undercover part of her fake boyfriend obsessed with her, but is becoming a bit obsessed with her himself.
They are in the midst of an ever-changing undercover op with twists and surprises. Olivia and Zac are forced to follow along with the demands of a dangerous man while the team needs to find a way to keep them and those she cares about safe, and stop any blow back on them all. It is full of danger, suspense, surprises, sexual tension, and action.
Zac is raw and real. He puts on a facade of being the unaffected tough guy, but it is not long until his softer side shows. He does not want to fall, but seems powerless not to. He is protective, caring, and possessive. Olivia has to make sure her daughter is safe and getting attached to a deadly man who is not interested in relationships surely does not seem like a good plan. But that will not stop the lust, longing, and chemistry. I will admit, it was a bit insta-lovey. I would have liked a bit more of the romantic development. But it was a fast-paced, romantic suspense story with likable characters that had complex back stories.
This brings back the team we met in Resurrection: Colt, Skye, Brooks, Mercer, Mary Grace, Gage, and Leighton. I enjoy getting multiple points of view. They are friends and pseudo-family with their own special skill sets that make them a formidable team. And they are determined that Olivia and her daughter will have their full protection. A couple of other story teases were laid out for two of the other guys, so I am interested to see who will be next...Gage or Brooks.
‘Savage Rising’ is as I expected: a thumping ride of blackmail, fast love and mowing down just a few more baddies in the fictional world along the way. But it’s also what I’ve come to expect of Katie Reus’s writing. Like many of the RS books, Reus’s recipe of suspense honed over many books is dramatic action written with gusto—the punches and kicks go flying and the guns are whipped out with alarming frequency—as characters often ill-suited to each other fall inexplicably hard, then rush to get their white picket fence set up by the end of the story.
Olivia’s and Zac’s stories take a while to come together (the first two seemingly unrelated chapters sort of confused me) and while we already know who Zac Savage is, Olivia’s introduction is slower to come, but unfolds in such a way that there isn’t any doubt she’s more than just a single-mother trying to keep her daughter safe. Brought together by an undercover situation where both of them play lovers, the making of this pairing isn’t an unpredictable one but nonetheless an entertaining ride. Strangely though, perhaps the most tantalising of these books are the parts where Reus gives us glimpses of future pairings—these alone are appetite-whetting and obvious hooks that I’m shamelessly going to say that I’ve bitten into.
That said, it was fun watching Olivia and Zac work together and knowing that they have that kind of chemistry definitely pushes up the steam factor when they finally fall into bed as well. Both Olivia and Zac are generally likeable, believable characters and the latter certainly takes the cake in hulkish badassery minus the green skin. I just had a little more difficulty with the instant love part of it, sceptically wondering during the epilogue if that quickness had more to do with forced intimacy in a high-stress situation that was adrenaline induced. Clearly, it’s a balance that’s not easy to get right (and I’m obviously picky about this), though that isn’t going to stop me from wanting more of a series that shows such promise.
My first thought when I hit the end of Savage Rising was “Yeah, I’m gonna be giving this one 5 stars”. I loved it from start to finish. I never even put it down once I started it. It was packed full of suspense, intrigue, and oodles of chemistry. It has a sexy Ocean’s 11 vibe to it, except without the anti-heroes, just a group of good guys trying to protect their friend.
Olivia had made some huge mistakes early on in her adult life, mistakes she regretted. Once she found out she was pregnant she turned her back on that life, determined to never let her daughter be touched by the taint of what she used to do… crack safes. Too bad her past showed up at her door one night demanding she help with a heist or else her daughter would pay.
Luckily for her, Skye, the heroine of the first book in the series, Resurrection, is her best friend. If you’ve read this (which is totally unnecessary although highly recommended) you know that Skye is one hell of a good person to know when you’re being blackmailed into committing a felony. Skye, Colt, and their co-workers are all badasses with skills and backgrounds in the CIA and/or Special Forces. Knowing Skye was a lot more than she seemed, Olivia made her way to Resurrection Harbor as fast as she possibly could.
I really liked Olivia despite her less than stellar background. She had done a complete turnaround from what she used to be. She even worked for a company specializing in testing out security to show where places were most vulnerable. She was resilient, strong, and she was an amazing mother to a sweet and adorable daughter. I do wish we were given a more in-depth explanation of what it was about Olivia’s upbringing that drove her to rebel so horribly.
Zac Savage is part of the Redemption Harbor family. Skye pulls him into pose undercover as Olivia’s alpha-hole of an overprotective ex. Goodness did he play that part well! It soon became apparent that the chemistry wasn’t being faked AT ALL seeing as he wanted her something fierce.
Neely was the perfect bad guy for Savage Rising. I loved to hate him seeing as he wasn’t an OTT caricature of evilness, he was just a straight up greedy crook with no conscience to get in the way of executing his heists. He was smart, organized, and had a million fail safes set in place to keep him from getting caught making him one tough opponent.
There were twists and turns, some you could see coming a mile away but also a surprise or two that kept things interesting. This was fun, sexy, and full of action and suspense and it kept me reading until the wee hours. I’ll be excited to see what’s next for the Redemption Harbor crew.
Rating: 5 Loved It From Start To Finish Stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Spy games. Sexy adventures. Dangerous occupations. A captivating second book in the Redemption Harbor series where close friends have made a family. Where ex-spooks have created a business that protects the innocent. Where Love can be found when danger threatens.
So much fun, action, and entertainment. I can’t wait to read more of this romantic suspense series and this author.
Such a fan! This is a fantastic book and series with great characters who each have a special skill set, and I love that the women each are just as awesome in their own way.
This is Skye's friend, Olivia, and her daughter, Valencia's, story. Valencia is deaf and after making some bad choices when she was younger Olivia has decided and tried to make sure none of those affect her daughter's life. When one comes back to do just that she immediately leaves for Redemption Harbor and Skye.
Their she meets a new guy who just happens to be her new partner, Zac. Let's just say first impressions aren't stellar for either one of them and things go from bad to worse for a bit.
Zac was a Force Recon Marine and after worked for the CIA but now he works for the consulting company. He's not a fan of himself and isn't a fan of Olivia for a bit of time until she straightens his way of thinking out about why she's in this mess. But when he sees her, let's just say that the part he's supposed to be playing is not going to be acting.
He promises himself that no matter what she will be safe!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another explosive read by an amazing author. I see one of her titles pop up and it's like Christmas for me LOL. I loved reading this romantic suspense. And this cover is kind of HOT.

Second installment in the Redemption Harbor series but can be read as a standalone.
Zac and Olivia team up to bring down the man that is threatening the people Olivia loves the most. As an ex-marine an CIA contractor, Zac Savage is trained to go into the most difficult and demanding under-cover operations so it really was no problem pretending to be boyfriend to the most gorgeous woman he’s ever seen in her life. The real problem is how to pretend when there is real attraction between the two? The moment Zac sets eyes on Olivia he knows there’s definitely something that sets her apart from all the other women he’s ever met. He may have been hurt in the past yet there is something about Olivia that pulls him to her. Olivia is a smart and strong woman. Life has taught her a few hard lessons and one of them is to not go down without a fight. She may not have had the best first impression of Zac but she cannot deny there is something there every time she’s with him. They both have a dark past and plenty of baggage so to start a relationship would be pretty complicated.
Olivia used to be a thief in the past but left all that when her child was born and is now content attending PTA meetings. She doesn’t want to drag her daughter into anything complicated let alone dangerous and at the moment she just wants to go back to the life she had achieved for her. We really don’t know why Zac is the way he is as we don’t get to know much about it nor we get to explore much his character. All we know is that he doesn’t trust anyone except for those in Redemption Harbor. I actually felt a little cheated out of his background as I would have liked to know more but since it’s a series perhaps we’ll get to know more about in the next book.
One thing I’ll say about this series is that I’m loving the dynamics among the friends. They have such an easy banter and the way they embraced Skye (whom we met in the first book) gives me all the feels. There was a particular scene in this book when they are going through some video feeds and the men talked and joked around and with her without any compunction and I thought that was so refreshing! Another thing that I loved about this story was Olivia’s child. The fact that everyone in Redemption Harbor decided to step up and learn how to better communicate with her as she had a hearing disability was a great example of how friends make the best family.
Generally speaking, there was plenty of action, suspense, drama, and emotional moments however romance on a deep emotional level was only scraped on the surface as it was more like insta-attraction. Don’t take me wrong, I love me a fast-paced, action-packed suspense story, I only wish their romance would have grown deeper on a more poignant level and on a more feasible timeline. The villains had lots of interesting plots and even though some twists were not all that unpredictable they still made for an interesting story and enjoyable read.
I give this story 3.5 starts rounded to 4.
I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.
This was a sweet story. Not as absorbing as the first one, and I prefer Skye over Olivia, but still really good.
Olivia was a decent character, and I would've liked to learn more about her past and how she got involved with Heath. Her skills were pretty interesting, though I wish her outer personality was more tough. For most of the book, she seemed really sweet and soft, which seemed at odds with what she could do.
Valencia was really sweet, and Olivia was a great mother.
Zac was alright. I don't love the whole "traumatized by his past and believes he's a bad guy that doesn't deserve a family" kind of hero, but I didn't mind him.
The romance seemed a little lackluster, but the development was alright.
The suspense was pretty good. Kyle Neely and Heath seemed like genuinely scary villains, and I wasn't expecting how the team planned out everything so that Kyle would go to jail and the blackmail would be lost.
Overall, this has been a pretty interesting series, and each book has been set up well.

This series can be read as a stand alone but honestly you will enjoy the characters and story more if you read the first book in the series. If you have read the author Kaite Rues this book is what you have come to expect from her series. Bad guys, blackmail, insta love, with boot kicking face punching fast pace story. I would love to say this book surprised me but in all honestly it is very much like all of her books. The characters feel they do not deserve love find the one women they become obsessed over and have to have and bam a few killing later White Picket fence. Nothing stood out but it wasn't a terrible book either. Her writing style is very easy to read while doing other things or having a night quite afternoon.
Readers of Katie Rues will love this next book in the series and new readers will enjoy it but as for this reader it just didn't sing. I was hoping for a different recipe from Katie Rues with this series but instead it is the same type of story. I have read from Katie Rues many times over. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher KR Press, LLC for the advance Copy
Our return to Redemption Harbor provides another fabulous adventure as Skye’s college roommate Olivia, needs help after she and her daughter are threatened by a man from her past. Blackmailed into doing an illegal heist or risking her daughter’s life, Olivia’s only choice is to go through with the job, figure out the details, and stop him before anyone gets hurt.
Zac Savage, Redemption Harbor consultant and former Force Recon, poses as Olivia’s obsessed ex to work the heist with her. Determined to keep Olivia and her daughter safe, Savage will use all of his special training to get them out of this alive.
Savage and Olivia have chemistry that burns up the pages. And Savage’s interaction with Olivia’s daughter is priceless. I love the Redemption Harbor “family” and their witty banter. There's so much suspenseful goodness I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.
Ms. Reus knocked another one out of the park with Savage Rising! Highly recommended series and read.

whoooooohee! Katie has my number and oh how I love it!
fantastically sexy, hot, broody alpha male? ✔ sassy but sweet heroine? ✔ adorable baby girl you can't help but melt for? ✔ hot panty melting sex?✔✔✔ Awesome, engaging storyline that's make you read from beginning to end in one sitting? ✔✔✔
I've said it before, I usually prefer to read PNR or a good UF heavy on the romance. UNLESS it's a Katie Reus CR. Whenever I see her name pop up on Amazon, I know without a doubt I will have a deliciously steamy, action packed, nail biting suspenseful read in store for me. Savage Rising delivered all that (pssh... like I ever doubted it would) and then some. The plot was smoothly written and the character's were relateable and engaging. And as usual with Katie's books, I was so totally engrossed in Savage Rising that I ended up reading the entire book in one setting! Do yourself a favor and add this book (and series) to your TBR -NOW shelf. <3

REVIEW This is book 2, and wow let me start off by saying I claim Savage. This book gives us everything you'd want in a suspense romance novel. We get the bad guys, the good guys and strong female characters.
We met Olivia back in book one and knew there was going to be trouble. Well, she brings it to her friend Skye and her crews door, and everything just moves right along. The action is nonstop and the hotness well it grows and then BOOM! Grab your copy now and get swept up in this really good read.
I love that Zac had been celibate for a while, over a year at minimum and it's implied it had been much longer than that. However, there were a few too many mental references to how he'd always only had ONS, though not in a manwhore way. The numerous reminders were unnecessary.
