A year after her fiancé’s death, Dawn at twenty-six, has become a mess, shunning her former life, to end up in a small one room office, attached to her dingy apartment, where she practices law, as a solicitor. She has a penchant for Jameson whiskey, and a thirst for a proper relationship with her father, who had raised her since she was eight, by himself, after the death of her mother. Dawn’s world suddenly gets complicated, when she’s asked to help find a young man, who disappeared in Cambodia. Her dogged determination sees her end up in Cambodia, and as she looks for the young man, she finally realises she must move on from her grief over her fiancé and embrace life once again. Through all this, Dawn must overcome local hoods, and gangs, not just to save herself, but the young man as well, who she finds, she is deeply attracted to, creating an inner conflict between her professional ethics and her inner feelings. There is romance, adventure, and back at home, a mystery that Dawn must solve, before she can finally put her past behind her.
