"We are delighted to bring to you this novel textbook, a collection of chapters on the essential topics in cultural anthropology. Different from other introductory textbooks, this book is an edited volume with each chapter written by a different author. Each author has written from their experiences working as an anthropologist and that personal touch makes for an accessible introduction to cultural anthropology." - SACC

I read this book for an anthropology class, and it was wonderful. It's informative, easy to read, well organized, and very comprehensive. It teaches you a lot about different perspectives in anthropology and provides real-world examples, which is awesome.

This is an excellent primer to cultural anthropological studies. I greatly appreciate the diverse contributions, and despite the inherent repetition of specific elements (as a result of the nature of different points of view every chapter), my attention was firmly grasped.

A very good introductory text to cultural anthropology including key terms, concepts, people, and case studies. I highly recommend this text for college students taking courses in anthropology as it covers the foundation of cultural anthropology as well as introduces some concepts from archaeology and linguistic, medical, and biological anthropology.

I read this collection for my Fall 22 anthropology class. It contains chapters but it is more like a collection of academic articles.

Super interesting! Loved it! many separate chapter with many different writer/anthropologists writer so many kind of style and structural style of writing about Cultural Anthropology and a bit about Public and Applied Anthropology.

But I put 4 stars because it was still for class so as it was a bit "forced to read" book type, I enjoyed less then I would have if I read it for myself... Which does not mean it wasn't good though! just the context of my reading it in the first place was not as good as it could have been :'(

still really interesting and very informative with many style of writing which makes every chapters style as new and intriguing as the subject.
