Everyone has their dirty little fantasies, and as much as some would like to deny it, having fantastic mind-blowing sex outside of your marriage is the most common, especially if it’s in a way that isn’t technically cheating and no one gets hurt. But that’s impossible, or is it? What if it were not only possible for you to have such a life, but in a way where your partner can play an active role, where you can explore a world of exquisite erotic fantasies together? Turn the pages and peek inside to read all about such a couple, their lifestyle, their encounters and how they make it all work.
This short story contains sweet girl-on-girl action, gangbangs, interracial encounters and more. Have a look and peek inside to see the beginning of one couple’s introduction to the swinger lifestyle.
Swinger Hunt by Natalie Lou is exciting and compelling but fell just short of my expectations. The premise is intriguing, the characters are unique while still falling into the “type” found in erotica, and the explicit scenes are tastefully written. My biggest problem is that I want more than the 38 pages provide.
Jen and her husband are a happily married couple. The only secret between them: Jen is an erotic novelist. When her husband finally discovers her dirty little secret, they take a leap of faith in their relationship and decide to make some of her published fantasies into reality. What kinds of adventures will their decision lead them on? And will they both find pleasure in this new part of their life?
I’m glad that Lou skipped out on the cookie-cutter plot of the married couple needing variety because of a crumbling marriage. Even happy couples need some spice in their love life, and Lou depicts this fact very well. However, Lou also removes all possible tension from the plot, which makes the book less compelling and unique than it could be.
Lou introduces many possibilities and loose ends which could build this story into a novel which is both erotic and complex. In fact, I think Swinger Hunt has the potential to be unlike most books in its genre in a very positive way. The security Jen’s husband has in his marriage and sexuality and the confidence which Jen has in bed could lead to a number of exciting, emotional, and satisfying plots. The aftermath of any of their one-night stands could stir up a little excitement in their everyday lives as well, and I find it hard to believe that this new phase in their relationship has no effect on the rest of their lives. Lou has a world of possibilities to work with and, while the current version falls short of this potential, the fact that it could go so many places allows me to give this work 4 out of 5 stars.
Another issue I should mention which knocked the rating down a star is a lack of editing. In particular, inexplicable switches between first and third person narration begin to occur about halfway through the book. I was able to move past other spelling and grammatical errors earlier in the book, but the switches in tense annoyed me.
Overall, Swinger Hunt is a good start for Lou’s erotica. If she would just expand it, I think that the story could be great. She’s currently only at 38 pages—not even long enough to really be classified a “book”—so she has plenty of room to expand. However, if you’re just looking for a quick, guilty pleasure to read, I definitely recommend this book. It might not have reached its full potential as a book, but the explicit scenes are certainly steamy enough to share.
