Forced into a brutal sex trafficking ring on her fourteenth birthday, Dawn experiences brutality from the worst nightmare. Five years later, she is rescued by her childhood love. He vows to do anything to prove to her that nothing is simply black and white.
This dark but heartwarming novel follows Dawn on her journey to recovery—will this perfect stranger be the answer to her prayers?
Author’s note: this modern-day mafia novel contains explicit and adult content, including scenes some may find challenging. Reader discretion is advised.
I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and impressed by the influence it has on people and the decisions they make in life. My novels are something that won't be found anywhere else. I live in a small town in Colorado. I have 4 kids, 4 dogs, and a cat. I love to write. I am more than just an author; I'm a storyteller.
First of all i want to point out that my review is for Broken Revival. Reading through the vast majority of the reviews on this page, it seems all of the authors books are linked together somehow...im assuming to bump up the average rating?!
I know what you're thinking..why read all of the book if youre only going to rate it one star?!
Well, I'm not a quitter thats why.
I cant even begin to tell you what is wrong with this book. Inconsistencies galore. Typos, bad grammar, heck even a lack in basic writing skills. Is it mafia? Is it romance? Is it bdsm? Is it dark? Is it mystery/suspense/thriller? The characters are one dimensional. The storyline is blah and completely unbelievable in some places.
And what is the ending about? Most unending ending ive ever come across.
This was such an emotional and beautiful story. There's a metaphorical journey Dawn goes on to try and move on from her horrible past but is able to regain pieces of herself and become happy with the help of Elijah. It really pulled my heart strings and made me feel the pain and mental torment she felt. Very well written and with wonderful characters.
Ok so the story could have need good if not for all the mistakes throughout the book. On one page there was the title of the book between two paragraphs just completely out of place. Some things were just not realistic and made no since. If this book had been proofread and edited better it would have been a good book. Does the author not read the finished product?
I started to read this book and I seriously couldn't put it down you captured the characters and situations delicately, you focused on how dawn was so strong and how she overcame the horrible things that happened to her you captured the art of love and how loving someone you can achieve I will Defo be buying from you again very well written.
Really struggled with this book. There are way too many editing issues! Story line is choppy and doesn't seem to really flow. Characters are introduced at random without any real reason. Characters are mixed up and I had to stop and re-read it to make sure. Didn't care for the ending it just ended.
Any one who likes the dark romance might find this a good read. I enjoyed it. There were some areas where I needed to put it down and come back though.
this book has got to be one of my favorites of all time this poor girl the hell she goes thru and how she survived my God its absoulty amazing I cant go into to much detail that would be giving you spoilers which I hate but dawn goes thru it and what makes it such a page Turner for me is that she truly never broke and her hero made her see that this author is incredibly talented as each book she writes you can see that she puts her heart soul sweat and tears into her work and it shows otho it's not your typical mafia romance it's dark twisted and brilliant I'm at a loss for words I couldnt put it down but then that's become a habit with this author I cant wait to see what see comes up with next this is a must read if you like different material surrounded by dark and twisted lifes
