C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.
She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.
Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.
I picked up this book in preparation for a book convention where this author is supposed to attend - And I felt the plot was something that I would really enjoy. And while the writing style of this book takes some getting used to after a few chapters I was OK with that. It was actually the unexpected END that left me unsatisfied. The cliffhanger that makes this book obviously part of a series left me wanting more - but not even Amazon seems to know about this being a series. So I am left with an incomplete experience and I am known for having issues with series like that.
I don't have a name, just a number. 1 That's the number of people I know that are worth dying for. 1 The total number of women I've ever loved. 1 The number of weeks I have left to save her. 1
Intriguing. Unsettling. Strange. Not 1 but 3 words that I feel best describe this book. 1 is barely human, shaped by the government to be a tool for their use, following their rules, carrying out their assignments. He kills the bad guys. He does so without emotion, without conscience. He has never felt anything for anyone until he stumbles across a young, bleeding girl. 1 encounter. Cyrah wasn't always her name. She's lonely and fearful. She fights for the city's girls against the sex trafficking monsters. Her life is harsh, unforgiving. She has 1 good living memory.
This is a dark serial. Compelling and devastating. Simple and cruel. 1 and Cyrah don't have much of a chance at a HEA but I am desperate for them to get one anyway. I can't wait for more.
I won't say I loved it, but I did enjoy it. This was a bit different from other Stunich books I've read thus far. I love the darker theme. The beginning put me off a little as it just seemed a bit off. So I wasn't sold initially, but by the end I was really getting into the story and the characters. Now I'm sad its over already.
This is a serial, so it is short. I expected that; it wasn't a surprise. Doesn't mean I wasn't like "but dangit I don't want it to be over". If you aren't a serial fan (I'm usually not either unless the whole series is out already, so I don't blame you if you aren't), then maybe break your rule for this one. It's worth it. Definitely make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the whole series.
After reading a few CM Stunich books the last couple weeks I was expecting this book to blow me away yet it left me alittle disappointed and wanting more. Maybe that is the reason it ended where it did? Nothing was really explained. I still have no idea why Cyrah was covered in blood when she met 1. And he just walks by her, takes her virginity in an alleyway without knowing her, after she just says "Please help me" then goes on to talk about being in love with her? I am thoroughly confused but that is ok. Not every book will be made for my tastes so now I am onto the next book of hers while I patiently wait for FRB2
So I actually read this, probably would have DNF-ed if it wasn't so short. I would not recommend. Book ended mid-story, not even like it was supposed to be a series, but like mid-story. If she ever writes the next one, I'll pass. Only reason I borrowed it was that I've found a couple of the author's other books to be better than what I expected from the summary. This was one of the ones that wasn't (I'm finding her very hit and miss; not sure if that's because she's getting better, and I'm just reading her backlist out of order, or what, but FYI, very hit and miss).
Let me explain - there were a lot of elements that were great (the general storyline, the kick-ass badassery that is the MC Female) but it just sort of fell flat of what I had been expecting. To me, the story changed POV far too often - you just couldn't really feel the moment because it was changing from one person to another within a couple of pages.
While the storyline was good, there were moments that I just didn't fully comprehend (maybe that's just me), but I also felt like the ending was very abrupt.
All for 1 is a new release by the wonderful author C.M.Stunich, it’s a romance suspense short story that may be dark to some. The story focuses on two main characters 1 and Cyra. He a government tool and she a lonely fighter looking to save those in need. They shared a moment when she needed someone the most and neither have forgotten each other since. I’m really curious and intrigued how this story will continue and recommend to those who’ve followed Violet Blaze books (Stunich’s Pen Name) or otherwise looking for a quick slightly dark read.
I enjoyed this book. It's a CM Stunich book.....she's daring. Not many authors will write about sex trafficking or dark shit that most people don't want to talk about. I get it, but that's why I love CM Stunich she doesn't care. She'll write about what she's passionate about.
I didn't love it, it wasn't my favorite CM Stunich book but I did enjoy it. The ending seemed abrupt and some of the POV switches were jarring. It wasn't the worst but she's usually much smother with the transitions. I do hope that there will be a sequel?!
I couldn’t wait too read this book ever since I read the blurb. I’m a huge fan of CM and she never disappoints me every time I read one of her books. 1 is unique in every way, 1 is fearless, he has no emotions until Cyrah. 1 meets Cyrah and saves her and they both think they will never see each other again until one night they meet unexpectedly and 1 can’t stay away. It’s an Interesting story, I want to know how 1 became 1 and I definitely want more of Cyrah & 1.
I don’t usually read dark romances, but CM Stunich has done it again! I feel like this series is going to rip my heart out, put it through the shredder, and then maybe... just maybe, bandage it back together again. I love 1 and Cyrah and I love romantic suspense. It’s my original genre love, before CM sucked me into the RH world. For this series, I’ll poke my head out of that black hole. Can’t wait for book 2!
I was so not ready for that book to end. Especially where it ended. Jeepers. I'm already obsessed with this book. The dark and edgy feel is addicting and I love the raw feelings throughout. I'm dying to know where this story will go, and am looking forward to more action and danger. I'm very much eagerly awaiting the next in the series! Five stars, without a doubt.
This was a very intense serial. Most of this book was pretty dark and the book focuses on the intro. of the two main characters which are both bada**. You will be hooked the entire time and will definitely want more right away, hopefully it's not too long a wait for the next one.
Oh wow! This was intense and kinda dark. With two strong main characters that rachet up the thrills and suspense. I really liked this serial. It definitely the nail biting, what's gonna happen next feeling that keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read more!
This is a quick read but so good. It's a dark and gritty romance that ends on a cliffhanger. I can't wait to learn about Cyrah's secrets and who 1 really is. Impatiently waiting for the next installment.
This was an good start to an interesting storyline. There’s still much I’m left questioning, so I’m anxious for the next installment. I will absolutely read part two, and have full faith the author will make a five star read if this serial.
please next time tell us that it ends with a cliffhanger... story is good, giving us little by little just so you keep us on our toes just like with all of your other books... looking forward to the next part
All for 1 is an intense, gritty and bit dark romance. I really enjoyed this book, but it way too quickly. I cannot wait for the next instalment. I look forward to seeing where the story goes and what happens to the characters.
Great story, didn’t realize it would be so short but I got sucked in, so that’s always a plus in my book. I liked the flow, the character interaction was steady and evolved with the plot. I’ve loved all of her books and would definitely recommend them.
All for 1 gets just that many stars for me. The premise sounded mysterious and intrigued me, but the story was meh. Everything was rushed and not explained well. Maybe once the story is finished it wouldn’t be so bad, but I probably won’t stick around to find out.
It took the first chapters to get used to the unique writing style and focus on the two main characters 1 and Cyrah but after that I was hooked. Cyrah is a really intruiging heroine that has gone through a lot but is still strong and selfless. 1's journey of starting to feel and exoeriencinv Things He never felt before was captivating cause of his dark background. I'm a sucker for dark and edgy books that are showing the naked and sometimes cruel truth of the world and this book was perfect in an intense and emotional way!
