I’m not quite the right auditorium for CR comedy & Co., so I try to reduce my rant to a minimum and highlight positive moments of this book.
ONE OF THE BEST LINES EVER told by a heroine.
ONE OF THE VERY BEST!!!
Only for that beautiful and honest line I skip my complains.
Bizarre plot? -> Relax & chill, Alex!
Not my kind of humor? -> Read the above line and live with it!
Immature heroine? -> Be grateful she were NOT a shy virgin!
Weird side characters? -> Let them be…
Very good hero, except for his untidiness (I don’t find it cute, when a man leaves his dirty underwear/socks on the bedroom floor). Otherwise he was a great father and decent man!
Overall quite likable heroine – I love a woman, who can hold a mean grudge –unfortunately for her they gave a hero very good reason to miss their date 10 years ago, so she was kinda unfair to be mad at him. Some see it this way, some could even dislike her -> I accept every heroine, but please not a sweet forgiving doormat – this one wasn’t a one, so all fine!
Cute kid. Safe. He wasn’t a manwhore and she wasn’t celibate for the last century.
Despite it wasn’t a 5-star read for me, I want to thank this author for writing sexually open heroine. I know that many readers require them virginal/celibate/saint etc. (and this in 21st century!!! *facepalm*), so I respect every single author, who doesn’t follow the romance trend by writing abhorrent manwhores paired with pure innocence.
Women like sex. Women need sex. Women have sex.

4.5 H.O.T. P.A.D. STARS🌟🌟🌟🌟.5
Peyton Is absolutely being added to my book BFF list.... this girl was sassy, sarcastic, loyal, fun, bold, and a good friend to boot.... Peyton runs a hook- up website in New Orleans.... when her brother bets her that she cannot sleep with somebody three times and not develop feelings she has no choice but to take that bet.... so when her BFFs try to help her out by setting her up with her arch nemesis from high school, what could possibly go wrong?
Elliott was Peyton‘s high school crush until he stood her up at the junior prom, something she never for gave him for.... so when she walks into her favorite restaurant and sees him sitting at the table her 1st thought is she’s going to kill her BFFs.... her second thought is I’ve got this bet, there is no way I’m falling in love with this a**hole.... The problem, Elliot is hotter than ever and actually a pretty darn great guy..... what’s a girl to do? Fall in love or win the bet?Elliot and Peyton‘s banter is priceless, the girl can dish it out, but he can definitely give it right back to her..... nothing better than a good friends to lovers romance💕
This book had so many laugh out loud moments and I had a huge smile on my face throughout most of the book.... A lot of those smiles were due to Elliotts beyond adorable three-year-old daughter Brioney... how can you not fall in love with a little girl who likes spots on her pizza, chops off her Barbies hair, and who’s favorite princess is Cinderella? The other laugh out loud moments were due to Paytons amazing friends Chloe and Mel.... oh and I cannot forget the fun flirty we don’t really like each other banter between Chloe and Peyton‘s brother Dominic... who I believe the next book is about....
Strongly recommend if you are a fan of romance with a lot of humor and a touch of sex... topped off with some fabulous characters.....

Laugh out loud HILARIOUS, uber SEXY, and absolutely CHARMING!
“Peyton, I’m going to kiss you. You’re going to let me, and you’re going to like it.”
This has got to be one of the most DELIGHTFUL enemies-to-lovers romance I’ve read this year! Of course, Emma Hart would bring her A-GAME with Peyton and Elliott’s story! This woman is an absolute GENIUS when it comes to Romantic Comedy! Not only is this an enemies-to-lovers romance, it’s a SEXY single dad romance AND a second chance romance! ALL THE ROMANCE you could EVER WANT in one ADORABLE package!
Peyton has got to go down as one of my FAVORITE heroines! I just love her style, her sass, and her confidence. And Elliott? All I can say is…YUMMY! Together these two absolutely LIGHT UP THE PAGES with their banter, their tension, and their hilarity. I couldn’t get enough! I MUST mention the back and forth between Peyton and her brother, Dominic. OMG! It’s so DAMN COMICAL! All of these characters just blew me away with every turn of the page…my cheeks were so sore from smiling the entire time. Trust me when I say, THIS is a rom-com you are gonna want to read OVER and OVER again!

3.95 stars (so close to 4). There were a few confusing moments where some of the conversations and arguments that all the characters (sides included) were having and it forced me to re-read sentences and pages, only to confirm that said conversations still confused me, but I won’t bore anyone with the details. Not a flawless execution, but a great premise and super enjoyable book. We only get HFN and prep into another couple’s next book in the series.

March 15, 2018Onee of those where mc is (supposed) to be an adult but after 10 years it seems not growing up or maturity happened (I mean, 10 years?😯) and female mc holds a grudge against the h for something that happened when they were 18 years old. Not my type of people.

Having a job that involves looking at dick pics isn’t one I’d personally pick for myself, though that alone is off-kilter enough to keep me reading in what is a really…loud, messy and mostly angst-free story. ‘The Hook-Up Experiment’ is as the title describes: a bet made to see if love can can still be taken out of the equation in a 2-week hookup.
This is upbeat, rom-com land (a style that works well for Emma Hart) and a read so easy to breeze through in a few hours. Hart’s relationship building is clearly the book’s strongest point, and the strong links we have between Peyton, her friends and Elliott form the backbone of the story, which, incidentally also provides the launching pad for the next book in this duet.
But while I did like Hart’s snappy, smart-alecky style, I think the issue for me here could probably be summed up in 2 words: ten years. A bloody decade that is actually, a long time. Especially in the years 18-28. Life happens—people marry, get divorced, have children, earn great highs and go through new lows and in the process, get worn down a little, see some things differently, and generally, change as they age.
That Peyton hadn’t gotten past something that happened when she and Elliott were teens seemed increasingly ridiculous as time wore on, so the weak premise of the plot made me frown at first. I couldn’t get past how Peyton hadn’t let go of the immature grudge—surely there were other things more important in life that came in the course of the next decade to stew on than a missing prom date?—where I’d expected distance, time and maturity to have made some sort of change. Consequently, for much of the story, I wondered if Hart would ever be able to close the supposed ‘age-gap’ between Peyton’s neurotic adulting and Elliott’s maturity when there was actually none.
Still, it was a story I mostly enjoyed—the quirks of Hart’s very strong secondary characters (bound to have their own book soon) were the highlight for me though they skirted the boundaries of being juvenile—and even if ‘The Hook-Up Experiment’ felt at times like ‘Friends’ on steroids, I’m saying right now, to put me down for the next one.

The Hook-Up Experiment was such a fantastic enemies to lovers romance with the sassy spitfire and typical comedic shenanigans we have come to expect from an Emma Hart story. This novel was the perfect combination of enemies to lovers and single daddy swoon worthiness it made my head spin. It was sexy and addicting and I could not get enough of these two.
When Peyton Austin makes a bet with her brother that a person CAN in fact have a sexual relationship/friends with benefits arrangement with someone and NOT fall in love, her wits and assertions are threatened when Elliot Sloane walks back into her life. Her once High School nemesis (and crush) and now single daddy heartthrob is the perfect man to sleep with 3x before moving on with ZERO feelings. But what happens when past assumptions Peyon had about Elliot prove to be false and the real truth is hidden right beneath the surface? Will they both take a chance this time around to see the real person beneath?
I loved Peyton in the first book and could not wait for her story. I thought her and Elliot had hysterical banter, chemistry and had swoony moments that hit you right in the feels. I can't wait until Chloe's book! 4 stars! ~Ratula

3.5 STARS
Fair warning: if you're not into quirky characters and quirky plots then you're going to be really annoyed with this one.
I have to admit, I struggled to plough through this one. I mean the app idea where it's a hookup app and someone has to manually screen through pictures of dicks to match them to vaginas ahem is ridiculous and over the top. It's hard to comprehend but if you get over it, you may be able to finish reading this book.
Second, our main oc is a ball busting spitfire who is independent and owns her own business. She knows this and she flaunts it. So if you like sass and attitude than you might like her. I thought she was straight up annoying sometimes.
Third, the conflict resolution between main female OC and male OC pissed me off. It was clearly the female who was wrong. And instead of saying a proper apology, she kept adding snarky remarks and jokes to her groveling. It really peeved me. Stop. You're wrong. Beg for forgiveness you jerk.
If you get through that hiccup (which I did), you'll move into the better parts of the novel where they all kind of move into a routine with each other. She takes care of his daughter and her friends accept that they're good for each other.
And it's cute so that's why I'm giving 3.5/5 stars instead of 2. The story surprised me towards the end with clear plot structure and character definition.
As for the second book in the series which include her best friend and her brother... I'm cringing already. They act like toddlers, bickering back and forth, and being assholes. I don't know how much will I like it but I'm going to give it a try.

I liked the hero more than the heroine. The duo of the hero and his daughter Briony took a full mark from me. I can read the book again just to read Briony more.

This was unexpectedly wholesome. It started pretty dumb, and the heroine was very immature and over the top, but the great unexpected thing is that she sorta owns up to her mistakes and tries to make things work. When she finally cut out all the dramatics, it turned into such a sweet and heartwarming story that I am still grinning like a fool.
Definitely a different format of a romance novel, but absolutely worth reading and worth sticking to, even if the first part is a bit infuriating.

Hart delivers a laugh out loud funny read with just a touch of emotion and a whole lot of steam!
With a bit of an odd premise, Hart won me over with this well developed story and endearing characters.
After some misunderstandings in high school, we learn that Peyton can certainly hold a grudge. Ten years of hating Elliot puts quite a damper on any potential love connection, making him the perfect choice for her ridiculous bet with her brother...sleep with the same person three times in two weeks, and don’t fall in love...easy...or so she thinks.
I loved that we didn’t have to witness too much of their battle. It wasn’t long and drawn out. We got to enjoy them together. While there wasn’t too much back and forth, we did get to see some drama. I liked how they faced real life, everyday issues. It made them seem more realistic to me. I was completely captivated by their story.
Hart’s witty dialogue cracked me up. There were several times that I thought I might wake up my family with my laughter. The drama kept me emotionally vested. I was intrigued to find out what happened between these two and how, and if, they’d move past it. And I genuinely liked the characters. All of this, and more, makes this a must read for me.

The Hook-Up Experiment by Emma Hart is a fun, sweet and very entertaining read.
I enjoyed the writing, it was well paced, the humor on point and the storyline held my attention from start to finish.
Watching Peyton and Elliott together made this a very amusing, heartwarming and entertaining read.
I loved how they find themselves back in each other's lives and how with some honest and harsh truths they were able to open their heart to forgive each other and put their past behind them.
And did I mention their chemistry? Dear lord these two were hot! *fans self*
Being in Peyton's head was both amusing and exhausting, but in a good way. I lost count how many times I laughed out loud with her inner thoughts and with her crazy, amusing relationship with her friends and brother.
And lastly I can't not mention Elliott's adorable little girl Briony, she added so much to their story and I couldn't get enough of her and her sass. =D

The Hook-Up Experiment by Emma Hart is a fun, sweet and very entertaining read.
I enjoyed the writing, it was well paced, the humor on point and the storyline held my attention from start to finish.
Watching Peyton and Elliott together made this a very amusing, heartwarming and entertaining read.
I loved how they find themselves back in each other's lives and how with some honest and harsh truths they were able to open their heart to forgive each other and put their past behind them.
And did I mention their chemistry? Dear lord these two were hot! *fans self*
Being in Peyton's head was both amusing and exhausting, but in a good way. I lost count how many times I laughed out loud with her inner thoughts and with her crazy, amusing relationship with her friends and brother.
And lastly I can't not mention Elliott's adorable little girl Briony, she added so much to their story and I couldn't get enough of her and her sass. =D

One of my favorite tropes in romance is enemies-to-lovers and The Hook-Up Experiment did not disappoint me.
Peyton is a confident, sexy, sassy, independent, successful woman, who can't say no to a bet especially if she knows she's going to win it... Honestly, I think I might have a crush on Peyton! I loved her! Her style, her stubbornness, her spontaneity, everything about her was lovable. The chemistry and the banter are off the charts, Dominic (Peyton's brother) and Chloe's (Peyton's BFF) comical moments made me laugh so many times, I really loved the Friends vibe and Briony is such a sweet, sweet kid. The Hook-Up Experiment is a low angst, charming, hilarious, addictive, swoony, light romantic comedy. Can't wait for Dom and Chloe's story!

My goodness! What a read! Steamy, sexy and so hillarious. The hook-up experiment promise great from that title. You will laugh so much reading this romance. That woman is something else. I swear. She's one in a million. Peyton is the steamy queen. Kinky sense of humor she gets! She knows everything in that department. And she's good. She is a really special "matchmaker". Until she turn into the protagonist of that special mission.
But she is not an easy prey. She is confident, challenging, smart, and sassy lady. So she will make Elliot sweat.
The Hook-up experiment begins as a bet. A bet Peyton want to win, no matter what. But that bet will come with an unexpected .... Surprise. Or nightmare. OK, So I may have snorted tea through my nose while reading this book.
Emma Hart yet again delivers another quick witted sassy female in the name of Peyton and her sarcasm had me bursting with laughter when I least expected it, hence the kindle covered in tea numerous times.
Not only does Emma Hart know how to write contemporary romance well but she also knows what the reader wants and that's humour, hotness and all the bits in between that lead up to heartwarming hea.
I loved Peyton and Elliott.
What started off as a hate relationship on Peyton's part with a huge dose of chemistry turned into a heart warming transformation in Peyton's character with the help of a hot baby daddy.
"Peyton was a tornado in a tea cup. A wild, beautiful force of nature ready to forge a path for herself, no matter who or what was in her way"
A little bit about the plot;
Peyton runs her own match making company, its not your usual find love kind of business and is basically more for hook ups, Peyton isn't a conventional type of girl and neither is her business. When she is challenged by her brother to a bet that you can fall in love after three hook ups with the same guy Peyton who is stubborn and faces a challenge head on agrees to the little experiment and bet and definitely thinks she is going to be laughing all the way to the bank with his five hundred dollars..... Only it didn't quite go to plan.
Peyton isn't allowed to pick her date but her best friend who also works for her brother can and she picks a guy who Peyton hates from high school due to the fact he stood her up at Junior prom, its a sure bet, no way would Peyton fall for the guy she avoided for the rest of her school life?.
Peyton sees Elliott on their blind date and she like a red rag to a bull even 10 years later, lets just say Peyton can hold a grudge.
" I can't believe I had sex with Elliott Sloane, Red hot filthy dirty-talking sex. And I liked it. I'd liked it. I was attracted to him. Hated him. but attracted to him. Did that even make sense?"
The hook Up Experiment is filled with anticipation, Will it be three strikes and he's out?
A brilliant rom-com, I read it on one sitting and to be honest It ended to soon I didn't want to let them go, I wanted more, a wedding the whole shebang.
I laughed, well snorted tea, adored the chemistry, hotness and the characters, I swooned at Elliot's baby daddy moments and his patience and I applaud the whole feel good vibe Emma Hart has a gift of delivering in her writing and plot.

The Hook-Up Experiment by Emma Hart is the first book in The Experiment Duet. This maybe a duet but don't worry there is no cliffhanger it does have a HEA.
If you have read The Upside To Being Single, Then you will already know that these books centre around three best friends. The second book in The Experiment Duet is Chloe's story The Dating Experiment and don't worry they can be read as stand alone's but you are missing out on hilarious, sassy, fun filled reads.
Peyton, Chloe and Dom run a sister company Chloe and Dom's side is your normal dating site. While Peyton'e side is slightly different!! She run's PAD (Pick-A-Dick) which is exactly what it states. Men submit pictures along with the most important for this site a picture of there penis. Then its Peyton's job to hook people up!
So when Peyton's brother makes a bet with her that feelings always come into play if you hook-up more than a few times. She agrees to a bet that a person CAN in fact have a sexual relationship/friends with benefits arrangement with someone and NOT fall in love.
Agreeing to be set up on a blind date it all goes to hell in a hand basket. When her High School nemesis (and crush) Elliot Sloane is her blind date.
Elliot Sloane is a single daddy (and not in the kinky sense) he's been urged to get back on the dating scene. Deciding that a hook-up is more what he's looking for, as his priority is to raising his daughter. He just never imagined his blind date would be the ball busting girl he tried so desperately to be with in High School.
Peyton decides this plan might actually work and that Elliot could be the perfect man to sleep with 3 times before moving on with ZERO feelings.
But what happens when past assumptions Peyton had about Elliot prove to be false and the real truth is hidden right beneath the surface? Will they both take a chance this time around to see the real person beneath?
I devoured this laugh out loud, charming and sexy read. It has some great banter and not just from Peyton and Elliot but the whole cast was a laugh a minute. Especially the adorable 3 year old Briony she captured my heart. If you like a great Rom-Com you won’t want to miss reading this one.

If you have ever read a book by the lovely and ever so talented Emma Hart that you are aware that her books are always heavy on snark, with lots of steam, and filled with plenty of heart and family. After meeting most of these characters in The Upside to Being Single, I couldn't wait to travel back to this fictional world filled with Mardi Gra beads, flashing boobs, and hook-up websites and get a closer look. It wasn't long into The Hook-Up Experiment and Peyton and Elliott had me riveted to their story, snorting with laughter, and ready to combust!
Peyton Austin is a woman filled to the brim with sarcasm, stubbornness, and cannot pass up a bet. She is my kind of heroine! She makes things fun, keeps things interesting, and has you wanting to be one of her besties by the end of her story. I was immediately addicted to Peyton's snark, intrigued by her job and couldn't wait to get to know this heroine on a more personal level and watch her world get turned upside down by lust and love with her arch enemy!
Elliott Sloane is a gorgeous mystery that is just waiting to be unwrapped by readers everywhere. I fell completely head over heels for this hero who matches Peyton's snark with sarcasm of his own, can whisper dirty words and ignite panties with a single glance, and speaks three year old and spends most of his time with one. What can make a reader swoon more than that? Elliott was everything I was hoping for and more when I opened this book and will probably be the cause of many rereads just to satisfy my craving for more of him.

So this book is a companion to "The Upside Of Being Single', as I really enjoyed the first book I was looking forward to continue the other ones.
Our main character in this one is Peyton Austin she was one of Mellie's best friend in the previous book, Peyton owns a dating website alongside with her brother Dom and her other bestfriend Chloe.
Her brother challanges her to sleep with a guy three times in two weeks without falling in love with him, her brother knows that she'll fail but Peyton somehow agrees to this silly bet.
When the time came for her date the guy was none other than her high school crush Elliot Sloane who became later her arch-enemy because of their dumb teenage actions.
I enjoyed this book as much as the first one, despite being funny just like the other one it dealt with serious issues too, Elliot who has a three year old adorable daughter named Bri, the child's parental grandparents (her real mother's) want to win the full custody of hers, for three whole years neither her mother nor her grandparents wanted to do anything with her but suddenly they want little Bri all by themsselves. I also liked seeing how Mellie and Jake's relationship (from the previous book) going further.
This is the second book that I've read by Emma Hart and I really liked it, she has the writing skills that makes her readers to not put to book down unless they're finished it.
Anyway, can't wait for the last one which is about Chloe and Dom, that's the one I'm most excited about.

She owned a hook-up website and reveled in her freedom. I had a daughter and was braced for the fight of my life. Oil and water. We were oil and water, and if she was going to go through with this experiment, it needed to be done as soon as possible, so we could return to our normal lives. Before one of us did something really stupid.OMG! I love the single dad trope and add into that mix a sassy heroine and an equally sassy 3 year old who makes you chuckle every time she opens her mouth... Perfect!
Peyton Austin is a complete hot mess and I love it! Her sass, her confidence, her overall persona is so attractive and I was pulled to her instantly.
Elliott Sloane is an attractive male (keeping his messy ass on the side for a minute), on the other hand, has a little hot mess of his own in the version of this cute as a button daughter, Briony, who has her own three-year-old brand of sass.
From their banter to their sexy times, Elliott and Peyton's relationship was absolutely amazing! Add Briony's three-year-old logic along with the banter between the father and daughter and Peyton and Briony ganging up on Elliot, together they make the perfect blend of a crazy family that lit the pages leaving me laughing.
Also a quick special mention to Peyton and her relationship with her brother Dom. HOLY FREAKING COMICAL! I was laughing my butt off every time these two started talking to each other. Gosh, Peyton was my hero!
I’d gotten the girl. The one I’d lose—the one I never thought I’d see again. But she was mine. Peyton was mine. I had the most incredible sense of peace settle over me, and I knew instantly, this was how my life was supposed to be.Romantic Comedies are a strong forte of Hart; with her quick and witty dialogues that make you laugh out loud, swoon and leave you blissfully happy by the end of the book.
This red-hot romantic comedy is a definite must-read on my list and is perfect for anyone who is looking to read something fun that is bound to keep them smiling throughout the book.

March 15, 2018The series The Experiment is connected to the book The Upside to Being Single. The characters from this series play a big role in The Upside to Being Single. That's were they are first introduced and play big roles. In fact the epilogue of The Upside is about Peyton and the bet - the first book of this series. Not sure why that book isn't in this series also. Just FYI since this is something I would want to know so I would not read things out of order. I would be pissed if I read this series first then decided to read The Upside of Being Single - Events would be out of order. So annoying
I would so recommend reading The Upside to Being Single first. That way you can read about Millie and Jake getting together before you see them in this book together. And there is the fact Peyton is single in that book as well. I would hate to read about Peyton finding love in this book and then reading a book about her being single...

I feel like really this is part of a series with one of the first Emma Hart books I read, The Upside to Being Single. And if you read the whole synopsis below, it does say that our main character, Peyton, is in that story. But I guess it isn’t technically a part of a series with that one. Doesn’t matter though because I still loved it! The characters were so great. A lot of things about Peyton totally reminded me of myself. Also, I think her bet is possible, three times without falling in love, but not with someone you already have such a history with! Someone you’d had a crush on, and then when we find out he has a daughter? An adorable little daughter? How is that not just totally something you wouldn’t automatically fall in love with? There was so much fun in this story, and I totally loved the scenes with Chloe and Peyton’s brother as well, so I can’t wait to read their story at some point too. Once again Emma Hart totally makes me love her stories and pretty much has sealed herself as one of my all-time favorite authors, probably auto-buy!

***5 ‘Emotions Were Of The Devil. And The Devil Was A Whore’ Stars***
I devoured this book.
I did.
I did start it the night before, but Daylight Savings happened and the brain did not Spring forward along with the time. But when I sat down and did the “just a peek, maybe a chapter” thing...well, it turned into finishing the book in no time flat (Sorry #workthing) but it was SO good. Laugh out loud funny, swoon worthy ~ in more ways than one, sweet and oh so smexy! It hit all my buttons in just the right way that I didn’t want it to end, but loved how everything played out.
I loved Peyton in The Upside of Being Single and all this book did was make me adore her even more. She has moxie. Plain and simple. This woman owns everything she does. She’s comfortable in her own skin and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, sometimes a little too much. And though she may not want to fall in love, when she does consider someone hers, she gives them her all and I loved seeing that side of her because it just made me adore her more.
Elliott. This man is a good man, and part of it does have to do with being a single parent to a toddler. He’s patient, straightforward and has a huge heart. He also has a bit of Alpha AF in him that comes out to play, which only serves to make even smexier than he already is.
As this is an enemies to lovers romance, things definitely don’t start out on a good note with Peyton and Elliott, but what one cannot deny is the spark that blazes between them when they are together. It’s hot, hands down, HOT! And as they spend more time together, in and out of bed, it’s apparent that they could have something amazing should they take a step back and take the time to truly listen to one another and be honest with themselves.
And then there is Briony. This little girl was EVERYTHING! It’s no secret that I love it when children play an important role in the story because they tend to force adults to show their true selves, and Briony does that when it comes to Elliott and Peyton. But this little girl had me cracking up, cringing and wanting to hug her anytime she was around.
This was such a fun, smexy read that was full of heart but wasn’t as angsty as I thought it would be ~ oh there is some good moments, but nothing crazy and OTT. I loved Mimi, Dom and Peyton’s grandmother and loved seeing how Mellie and Jake are doing, but I am definitely looking forward to Chloe and Dom’s book because after all that went down in this one, that one is gonna be all kinds of interesting!

I did start it the night before, but Daylight Savings happened and the brain did not Spring forward along with the time. But when I sat down and did the “just a peek, maybe a chapter” thing...well, it turned into finishing the book in no time flat (Sorry #workthing) but it was SO good. Laugh out loud funny, swoon worthy ~ in more ways than one, sweet and oh so smexy! It hit all my buttons in just the right way that I didn’t want it to end, but loved how everything played out.
I loved Peyton in The Upside of Being Single and all this book did was make me adore her even more. She has moxie. Plain and simple. This woman owns everything she does. She’s comfortable in her own skin and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, sometimes a little too much. And though she may not want to fall in love, when she does consider someone hers, she gives them her all and I loved seeing that side of her because it just made me adore her more.
Elliott. This man is a good man, and part of it does have to do with being a single parent to a toddler. He’s patient, straightforward and has a huge heart. He also has a bit of Alpha AF in him that comes out to play, which only serves to make even smexier than he already is.
As this is an enemies to lovers romance, things definitely don’t start out on a good note with Peyton and Elliott, but what one cannot deny is the spark that blazes between them when they are together. It’s hot, hands down, HOT! And as they spend more time together, in and out of bed, it’s apparent that they could have something amazing should they take a step back and take the time to truly listen to one another and be honest with themselves.
And then there is Briony. This little girl was EVERYTHING! It’s no secret that I love it when children play an important role in the story because they tend to force adults to show their true selves, and Briony does that when it comes to Elliott and Peyton. But this little girl had me cracking up, cringing and wanting to hug her anytime she was around.
This was such a fun, smexy read that was full of heart but wasn’t as angsty as I thought it would be ~ oh there is some good moments, but nothing crazy and OTT. I loved Mimi, Dom and Peyton’s grandmother and loved seeing how Mellie and Jake are doing, but I am definitely looking forward to Chloe and Dom’s book because after all that went down in this one, that one is gonna be all kinds of interesting!

I LOVED this book! Peyton and Elliott were just plain amazing. The whole premise of the storyline, of Peyton's bet with her brother that she can sleep with someone 3 times in two weeks and not fall in love with them, is a really great idea.
Enter Mellie and Chloe and the fact they choose Peyton's high school crush turned enemy? Oh boy. Lots of hilarity and swoon-worthy moments ensue.
I fell in love with Elliott instantly, and Bri? Good lord, what a cutie-patootie! Oh my gosh, I adored her! The whole storyline flows really smoothly and has some really nice open and honest moments, be they in the form of arguments, inner realisations, or gentle reminders from their friends, there is a whole lot happening in this one and its just really great all around.
I loved watching Peyton and Elliott learn about each other as adults, and the people they have become in life, in comparison to their high school memories of each other. And I like that fact that the truth comes in to play and they're adult enough to acknowledge things.
I enjoyed everything about this book, and there is a perfect opening for the next in the series which I think will be just as awesome as this one.
Definitely recommend Peyton and Elliott!

OMG! Oh my freaking goodness! After reading The Upside to Being Single back in January I knew that Peyton's story was going to be legendary and let me just say that Emma Hart certainly did not disappoint! She's not the QUEEN of ROMCOM for nothing...
The Hook-Up Experiment is book one in The Experiment series and damn readers are in for the ride of their life with this hilariously funny and sexy read. Peyton and Elliott's story was the perfect mixture of romantic comedy and enemies-to-lovers. I could not imagine a more perfect couple them these two. Their love-hate chemistry was off the charts both in and out of the bedroom! Oh and in case you didn't gather this little detail from the synopsis, Elliott's daughter captured my heart and I couldn't get enough of this little girl. She wiggled her way into not only my heart, but Peyton's. Little kids have a way of doing that...don't they?
Although this book can technically be read and enjoyed as a standalone, I can't help but recommend picking up a copy of The Upside to Being Single first. Trust me you will not regret it because not only will you get Mellie and Jake's story, but you will get a little inside look at Peyton's witty sense of humor!
